I doubt it tbh. He’s only 2 years younger than Kane, and with Kane’s play style, he could easily play in to his mid thirties

@@GIBBO4182glad someone brings a bout of realism to these conversations. For some reason, when people watch an interview with someone, they feel the need to be unrealistic in their assessment of them. Personally, I think they’re just fishing for likes, which is pathetic to me.

@@kiriakoz I just don’t see Kane’s form or fitness being an issue at all for the next couple of years, and by that time Watkins will be in his 30’s himself, bit late to be starting an international career

@@GIBBO4182 agreed and there's a lot of good young footballers coming through too. With the amount of quality we have, one of those players will be (Palmer, Foden, Saka, Bellingham, Sancho, Nketiah, Harvey Elliot, etc), one of them will have to play through the middle just to accomodate so many superstars. At a similar age, Watkins had just moved from a League Two side to a Championship side, so if he's developed as much as he has, imagine how much they could given where they are now.

If only he was a few years younger. At 28, he probably only has a year or two left at this level. Just doesn’t quite work out for a transfer to Arsenal.
