A liar and a thief is exactly that. She needs to legally remove herself and that is only through divorce. She will soon discover he has credit cards in her name and when she leaves she will discover she is liable for the debt. My heart goes out to this woman because it will take her years to recover from this and that’s only if she gets out today.

so my sister has been married to my brother in law over 47 yrs. When they met, he was 10 yrs older, had been divorced already and had a child with his ex. 1st warning sign. My sister was 19 just out of high-school. She thought she got the hard working farmer who's family owned dozens of acres of farmland in rural IA. Therefore, she would have a stable financial footing to raise her kids. No struggles. What really happened was his dad saw he couldn't manage money & made stipulations that he had NO ACCESS to the farmland till his stepmother passed. She's still alive at 90ish. Both of them jumped from job to job not caring about pensions because they thought they had farmland in IA to sell. Now neither of them have a pension he's working driving a truck in his 70s and they have basically been reduced to living in a 5th wheel. My advice is do NOT stay with someone hoping they change! Unless you don't mind being broke & penniless in your elderly years. Get out earn your OWN $ 1st , then find a real partner.
