I played this the other day - Jackson made me CRY laughing, I love the whole "tell me if something is wrong, but don't tell me" attitude. The game gives me a lil bit of hope but seeing all of the reused assets, I am a little let down ^^" Such a funny video Abi!

He's my favourite part of the game 😭 Totally agree, if the assets were nice I wouldn't mind it too much but a lot of the time the horse models are so violently mid :( Thanks Peachy! 💗

I find it kind of jarring that the character's sprites/pictures are cartoony and the art style is extremely realistic, but i'm still gonna follow the progress, at least with your videos!

Ye the world and characters are realistic 3D, then suddenly 2D with the dialogues? lol although I believe its temporary, this game has a lot to go first

Hello.... Asset Store Horse :'D Seems like they might have done some changes to it slightly but not to much, it looks nicely rendered with the game along with a beautiful world. I am a little passive towards this game atm but we shall see what happens in the future! Nice Video Abi ♥

I do not have the know-how to make a horse riding simulator, but currently I'm planning Visual Novel in the works that centers on an equestrian sport.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will always be the best horse game in my opinion 😂

Gambling away all your fathers money and being sent to a horse ranch. Relatable, happened to me last week.

Even if its not a scam outright the visible lack of effort put into this game clearly intended to piggy back some money off of the event slew of horse games is insulting enough as it is. However there are elements that with some actual effort put in would make this stand out in the niche market. For example realistic ways to bond, better animations and tack, diverse horses and reactions. Proper riding posture developed over time if your character is a total noob.

This reminds me so much of Pony Girl 2, which is why I have been excited for it XD But I do wonder how it will be, when it's available. I found this video looking for someone playing the demo, after looking around the channel and related videos, I realise there's a world of horse games out there that are probably way better than what I grew up with!

giving old steam horse game vibes hahah

after seeing this video in my recommended, so i decided to download the demo on steam before watching. i would write a review on steam, but i dont have that option. so, here are my thoughts: it'd be better off as a roblox game. i have many, many problems with this game. first off, it needed to be polished waaayyy more before being released for a demo and playtest. the controls are janky, the camera sensitivity is out of the roof, and only lowering the sensitivity (called "camera speed" in the settings) by a tiny amount makes it extremely low. the player's animations are alright off horse, though could do with some improvement. while riding the horse however... firstly, they are extremely stiff looking yet also ride like a sack of potatoes, somehow. im surprised they dont blackout by the way they fling about in the saddle while jumping. secondly, the way they dont post while trotting the horse pains me, i'd be alright with it if they were riding western, but nope, english saddle. poor horse's back. and the horses animations are atrocious, especially the "canter"... be fr that's not cantering, that's galloping. right, what else... oh yeah, sound design. all the sounds used for the UI feel out of place, dont fit in with the vibe of the game. they're also very.. sharp sounding. along with the UI in general. dont get me wrong, the graphics in this game are beautiful, the small world you can explore feels realistic and captivating. but it honestly really doesn't fit in with the vibe of the game, or it just feels that way because the UI really sticks out like a sore thumb. i love the style of the NPC's profiles, but it just does not fit in... the horse also gets dirty extremely fast and feels very... unrealistic for a game with such amazing graphics. that's all i can remember to write rn, ive never actually wrote a review for a game before, sooo. always gotta have a first time 🦐 TL;DR: this game was not made by horse people, very cheap feeling.

This is a great question - I try to separate most games from RDR2 since its a Triple A, but at the same time it has seriously raised the bar. I feel like people are less likely to accept half arsed games now 😅

to be fair, its a much better gallop and everything than I've seen in 90 percent of other horse games xDDD I guess im the opposite of you, id rather finally have some interesting characters and a story in a horse game, id accept a less quality horse model as long as its not atrocious

I played the prologue not too long ago. It looks like they have added more, such as customisation ❤ with your character and horse. Still wonky animations, etc sadly.

THE START IS SO UNINTENTIONALLY FUNNY IT'S ANNOYING

I remember looking everywhere for horse games a while back. now all of them are the same game with not very proper horse anatomy etc.. now I'm just waiting for a GOOD horse game that's not a copy and looks good to me. it might just be me but as someone who rides horses even the little things that don't look right bother me a lot.

I literally avoid Unity Asset flips like the PLAGUE. Rarely do they actually turn into their own thing. The animations and models look SO BAD with clipping and sliding EVERYWHERE.

I'm sorry, Mr. Jackson, I am for real, this a game I'm never gonna buy, I apologize a million - no, wait. I don't apologize. I'm selling all the horses, and headed to Caesar's Palace.

The horses gaits are definitely copied lol. I plaid a animal game on roblox and the horses have the EXACT same animations

Honestly the animations are trash. The trot is acceptable but still looking weird. The horse proportions are acceptable too, though not the worst and not the best. Medium quality i'd say.

honestly id rather have this with a good story though than a perfectly moving horse where I can showjump and do dressage and that's it.

well horse graphics ... lower budget horse games (no motion capturing) are unable to meet my expectations, because RDR2 exists ... the huge contrast between super unrealistic horses and very realistic environment makes the game look off. Either invest in making both as realistic as possible or stylize both. Otherwise it kinda gives off the impression of not even making an effort with the horses. In a horse game ... not ideal.
