Chris, you really don't need to resort to click bait with a thumbs down on the lead photo for this vid. I have dropped many You Tube channels because they were great at first and then start using negative click bait to get views back. Please don't, you have a great channel, stick with positive views. i agree with some of the other viewers - don't use clickbait. We love your content, so don't resort to using clickbait to lure viewers to your videos/channel.

For the cost of an inside cabin on the Icon of the Seas on a seven day Caribbean cruise, I can get a 7 day cruise on a Windstar Yacht where I will visit six ports and get better food and more personalized service. I think that RCCL is very much overpriced at this point unless you head out on one of their old ships.

Oh gosh, if I lived alone in a cabin, and the food was good, then almost nothing else would matter to me. I would choose a cruise company and ship where I would live alone. For me that is incomparably the most important thing.

We are onboard right now. A bit jetlagged, taking it slow, but we will come down and say hi.

The truth for me is the price has kept me from trying Icon. You make us want to try it, but the cost is prohibitive for us just now. Maybe later. Harmony was our first cruise and our favorite. We did it twice before Covid.

Really enjoyed Icon last March, never really felt crowded. So many places to hang out it was easy to avoid what crowds there were. Unfortunately the current prices are more than we're willing to spend to go back. So we're checking out some of the smaller ships. We've already done all the Oasis class and have only two quantum class left. Doing Liberty and Freedom next year. Doing Quantum he next year, getting n Spectrum may be quite a challenge.

Loved the Icon!! The only thing is I did feel like the pools were still pretty crowded. I thought with the number of pools it would have been better. Some of the pools are pretty small so not sure if that’s why. It was school vacation week so it was a full ship with lots of families too.

My first cruise was on Oasis of the Seas, but I’ve found that I enjoy almost all smaller RCI ships at least as well as I enjoyed that first cruise on Oasis. However, my more recent cruise on Oasis Class ships, and even some Freedom Class and Quantum Class ships have become less enjoyable as there has been a trend of increasing hype, and volume, and even general noise. Where I used to find those cruises restful, I now find them tiring. I’m now finding the smaller ships to be more restful and relaxing as they have activities and restful spaces. Some even moderate the music volume, though I’ve become convinced that the vast majority of RCI music staff must be going deaf as they seem to need to max out the volume at every venue.

This was a great review but as you’re the crew member and not the guest, you should really change the misleading thumbnail. Thumbs up or just nothing at all would be more appropriate imo. I’m sure you don’t mean anything by it, but it’s not right, coming from crew.

We have found RCL to be a logical choice for families bringing kids. Otherwise, we suggest looking elsewhere.

Good to hear it doesn't feel crowded. I remember being worried about Allure but when I was on it, it never felt crowded. Where Liberty, which is still decently sized, felt more crowded. I'll find out in about 5 weeks.

I agree Icon didn't feel crowded, when I went in March I was told the week I went was full capacity. It was really nice to meet you Chris. My daughter also thought you were a nice person off camera :). I was disappointed there were so many technical difficulties for the shows. Best to let the ship ride out all the bugs before you go on it. I will go back on the icon class. I do like it. My daughter and I also love meeting Roover . I was also a bit upset Royal didn't notify me by email they have rearranged my dining time.

To help you get to your hundred thousand subscribers you need to make some slight changes in your channel. First of all stop referring to yourself in the third person. Everybody knows you’re at Chris wong’s Vlogs, you may want to change the channel name to something that aligns with the channel content. Take a class in storytelling and videography. A lot of times you’re a bit fragmented and tend to ramble instead of telling a story. Look at the million sub channels. Regardless if it’s a positive or negative message there are subtle ways to convey it so that people enjoy video. I really hope you take the comments in a positive way. You’re getting large enough where people expect a certain caliber of videos. You’ve got a lot of talent and personality. Now it’s time to put a spotlight on it. 😊

It’s an amazing ship and the design was incredible. I was fortunate to meet you and go. The best layout and it really made things convenient for families. Definitely the icon of vacations. My 11 yr old actually cried when we had to go home. Putting a thumbs down on the lead photo is click baity, your content is great not really necessary.

Everyone commenting about the "clickbait" thumbnail has proved why it works. This vid is only 4 days old when writing this, and it already has more views than the last 4 videos in the past month. It also has more comments than all those before it. Whether you like the sentiment behind thumbnail marketing, you can't deny its effects on views and channel engagement. Similar to how many of today's content creators will leave in strange quirks, innuendo, or mispronounced words to increase comments, thereby driving up traffic and views. It's a different technique from them saying "leave a comment if you-" or "what do you guys think about...let me know in the comments" but it often works. If you look at his channel, his best performing ones with 100k+ views are always with clickbaity thumbnails, a picture of the ship with "too big" or the crew cabins next to "tiny." He's doing it strategically.

If thumbnails are a harmless way for him to increase the success of his channel and reach new viewers, so he can continue making good videos, then I’m all for it! I think it’s silly to accuse him of disrespecting his audience when it’s a necessary part of KZread marketing, especially for smaller creators.

“Honest review”. I abhor these words in ANY video. Does this mean all the other videos are dishonest? Reviewing the ship you work on is also a little subjective and biased.

I disagree with the comments about click bait. I've heard about this from some other creators. KZread's algorithm encourages creators to use misleading click bait to increase their views. If these creators want to compete with others in their genre, they have to use , possibly, misleading click bait to get you to view.

Saw your thumbs down thumbnail on.the.Icon review pop up. We.did not watch the video.but we had the same.experience.

Chris, you need to drop CONNIE and stop the click bait stuff or your viewership will continue to fall.
