I wish this was a more uplifting and cheerful video to share about this rescue you guys know I support wholeheartedly, but this is the reality of how it goes when running a non-profit like she does. I am still hoping for the best for this sweet orange boy and will update here or on the original post as soon as I hear of anything and can. Love you guys and thanks for watching ❤ *July 2nd Update on this sweet kitty:* I've taken a few days to process this, so thank you for being patient in receiving this update. After being evaluated upon his arrival at Humane society, it was decided by the consensus of the humane society vet, the animal control officer who transferred him, and Eva from I Dream of Whiskers LLC, that the best option for this sweet kitty was to help cease the immense suffering he was experiencing via euthanization. "Halifax" had a broken shoulder and paw, deep infection, severe physical trauma (which we can only guess was from possibly being hit by a car), dehydration, flea infestation, scabies, and ringworm - just to name what was immediately obvious. The reality is that his little heart and body would likely not have made it through anesthesia upon treatments. As you saw in the video I shared, he was calm, no longer panting or overheated, and very comfortable and LOVED during his last moments here with us. This unexpected situation is a first for me and although I am SO grateful he came across my path and didn't simply spend his last day or hours alone on the side of a 100 degree road... it's a tough pill to swallow. THANK YOU to everyone who donated everything from food to supplies to finances to I Dream of Whiskers LLC because every bit of it is already helping the needs of abandoned or abused kittens and cats in Eva's care. My heart is hurting but also full to know that sweet Halifax kitty had such love and support during his final moments - and also brought a better chance for many more feline fur babies in need. ❤🌈

How in the hell can anyone return a cat. Once I commit myself to a cat it's for life.

I'm totally with you, but also thankful that she has that policy in place and that people do adhere to it rather than other more careless or negligent options if they end up not wanting/being able to keep a kitty 😿😿

My time working for a rescue had its share of heartbreak, but all of the little victories and all of the lives we saved made it worth it. It was the lowest paid job I've ever had, but it was THE BEST job I've ever had. I moved away, and my friend who ran it downsized and only does ferals and emergencies now. (She's in her seventies and has her share of medical issues, but she keeps fighting for them in) I try to support her work, but on a fixed income, it's not that easy. If I started a rescue, my husband would flip, but I've told him that I always have room for an animal in distress!

Can you please explain her symptoms? I have a kitten who is lethargic and he was eating a foam pool noodle that was covering our plumbing in our rental :(
