A dry rag is a good thing to have. I recently cut my thumb on a rock and getting the wound dry so adhesive bandages and tape really helped. Fortunately my friend had a dry rag. Also a little duct tape helps with a lost drain plug. Duct tape and tear aid can temporarily mend a split drysuit gasket.

Splint is worth it because they feel better as soon as it goes on and calms them down, like putting a band aide on a kid suddenly they are healed.

So many improvised splints available too. ❤sams are great though

I am a huge fan of SAM splints and triangle bandages in a first aid kit. You probably have these in your Adventure Medical kit but - nitrile gloves. I carry a separate pair in my PFD in a tiny ziplock.

I badly broke my tibia and fibula in the bighorn mountains a few years ago and was super glad someone had a Sam splint. I carry one most of the time now.

Big fan of briniging a breakdown paddle -- even for close-to-town missions. You never know.
