My hardest day hiking | 51KM to the finish | The Cumbria Way

The Cumbria Way - 73 Miles from Ulverston to Carlisle.
Join me on my epic journey to complete the Cumbria Way in just three days! While most hikers take four to six days to complete the 112km trail, I was determined to challenge myself and see if I could do it in half the time. The last day of the hike was the toughest, with a gruelling 51km stretch that pushed me to my limits both mentally and physically. I walked for 12 hours straight, battling fatigue and self-doubt, but ultimately triumphing as I crossed the finish line.
In this video, you'll see stunning footage of the Cumbria Way and the breathtaking scenery along the route. You'll also get an inside look at the challenges I faced, from navigating tricky terrain to overcoming doubts and fears. Whether you're an experienced hiker or just love a good adventure story, this video is sure to inspire and motivate you. So sit back, relax, and join me on this incredible journey!

Glad you enjoyed it Adam. Honestly it’s a cracking route I really recommend it. 4-5 days would be ideal for this. Let me know if you decide to tackle it. If you find me on Strava I have the route plotted on there if you want it. On my main Strava this will be 9&3 route for each day. But…search for my name as I have a 2nd Strava just for my long distance hikes…only a few on there but will be a lot more. Basically I merge them into one so you have w the full route as one. You’ll find that, the dales way and also the coast to coast on there.

@jonathanhaynes6542 It’s a great think to have the huts then isn’t it as sounds like it really helped. It was really windy when I was up there too although weather wise quite nice. Imagine it gets quite brutal. Thanks about the C2C too. It was my first ever long distance hike and certainly was tough but honestly I have really fond memories of the hike. I’d recommend it to anyone it’s awesome. It’s my favourite hike I’ve done and that even includes Kilimanjaro. If you did ever decide to do it, my only advice is take your time. Everyone asks how quick you’ve done it but anyone who’s done the C2C like me knows it’s not about that. I would say 13-14 days is ideal and gives you time to appreciate the hike and actually enjoy it.
