I discovered this stunning place by accident. I just booked my Airbnb and Ferry going here. I made a mistake when I was searching a place in Mykonos (My original plan). Other than the more popular islands such as Mykonos, Santorini, Crete and Rhodes, I didn't know about Syros, I haven't heard of it. Upon sending my reservation request i've attached a message to the host "Hi Maria, looking forward to meeting you and explore your beautiful island of Mykonos". She replied quickly "Hello this the island of Syros not Mykonos". I was like, what??? Is Syros the main town of Mykonos? I googled it quickly before deciding to cancel reservation. My reaction is "Whoa!!! This place is so beautiful, why not a lot of travel vloggers come to this place. I fell in love already. I messaged the host and i told her "I think i just made a very good mistake. I would love to keep my reservation. I think it's meant to be." I guess destiny is inviting me here. See you next month Syros. :-)

@@josephj6521 Very much so! Although Mykonos and especially Santorini are really beautiful,, but also very touristy. Syros has it's own unique character and it's more local. so it's a good place to experience Greek culture. I would say it was my favourite part of my trip to Greece. Other than it is so beautiful, it was very relaxing and people are nice. Here some of my photos from Ermoupoli, Syros. I was also in Hydra. @@davisurdaneta1426 thanks for sharing your fabulous photos. 👍 I need to go back & take better pictures. 😂 Yes, Syros is definitely underrated. I’ve been there a few times and I always go there when I go to Greece, although it’s been well over 10 years ago! Glad it has kept its charm. Cheers.
