Cad Bane is an amazing character first appearing in The Clone Wars episode "Hostage Crisis" Season 1 Episode 22 which aired on March 20, 2009 this being the final episode of Season 1. Hostage Crisis was set in 21 BBY two years before Revenge of the Sith and with the Mando and Book of Boba taking place in around 9 ABY this puts around 30 years between Cads introduction in The Clone Wars and his appearance in The Book of Boba Fett. Of course he has appeared throughout the Clone Wars with his last appearance in the show being in 2012 10 years ago which is mental. Cad Bane is regarded as the best Bounty Hunter of the Clone Wars era he's pretty much the Boba Fett of the Clone Wars in terms of reputation and skill. Hostage Crisis in timeline order would be episode number 51 so it will take a while until you get to him.

Mandalorian Jedi was a one time thing, in the Old Republic, some thousand years ago. So rules then were quite different and looser. Everyone has already informed you on Cad Bane, but another thing that you brought up was "Where was Ahsoka during the Galactic Empire?" Well, in Rebels, she was a big factor in the early start of the Rebel Alliance. Luckily, enough most big questions have been answered in a show, lesser extent for minor issues, a comic, books or games.

Mando showed true love for Grogu - he didn't see Grogu not because it wasn't what he wanted, but because it was what was best for Grogu. I hope Grogu chooses the way of the Mando. Also, when Ahsoka was referring to how Luke was so much like his father, we have to understand that Ahsoka and Luke both see Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader as almost two separate people, and she was obviously referring to how Luke was so much like Anakin. One other thing is Clone Wars and Rebels perfectly explains why Ahsoka wasn't around to help Luke fight the Empire in the OT.

Everyone is having issues with Din being a focus for the Interlude that was Chapter 5, but i believe it was Dave Filoni who has already said that moving forward, the movies, books and comics are going to be much more intertwined, where following everything is the only way to get the full story. As for Luke, they hired Shamook, the deep fake artist who fixed Luke after his debut and posted the side-by-side. Awesome work, and I'm glad they wished up! Lol... Tarre Vizsla was mentioned in Rebels. All we really know about him is he was a Mandalorian Jedi, and he created the Darksaber. When he died, the Darksaber was interred in the Jedi Temple, and a group of Mandalorians infiltrated it and took the Darksaber back to Mandalore. The implication is that Tarre Viszla was born on Mandalore, but lived as a Jedi. I believe his existence helped bring a peace to both sides, since they had been at war. The Jedi ultimately won the war with Mandalore, but the peace was very uneasy, at least until Tarre's induction to the Order.

He fought obi wan, tricked Anakin, resisted the force from some Jedi, and even beat other power, known people. He was also hired to do missions by Palpatine and other powerful people. He also snuck in to the temple one time and stole something from the archives without the Jedi sensing him. He also has some history with Boba so I’m assuming in the next episode they’ll squash some beef between eachother. Also the dent boba has, he got it from Cad. @@Fairburne69 So I'm going to assume that you're not trying to be an asshole and give you the benefit of the doubt. I've been watching and reading Star Wars for 30 plus years. You didn't know that so I'm going to overlook the mansplaining. Why did I keep watching it? It's like you're not a Star Wars fan at all. Aside from the fact that it's SW and I have to watch it, it's called not giving up on something. Giving it a real chance. Clone Wars was SUPER kid friendly for the first couple of seasons, but the greater story it tells is extremely relevant to SW and fills in a lot of the color for the prequels that people said was missing. Name me one thing that Rebels ever did to alter the SW universe or make it better?

Genuinely shocked Holden hasn’t seen Clone Wars. There’s a list of best/most important episodes to watch if you want to avoid the early filler.

Fun fact: Did you know that a KZreadr called Chamook was hired to prepare Luke's face? He make videos on his channel using Deep Fakes. Now he works for Disney and he was working on this episode!

This is the first reaction I've seen where the reactors didn't know who Cad Bane was and I was curious to see how people who didn't know who he was would feel about him. It was good, the scene works even if you don't know who he is, I wasn't sure, because the rest of us were like OMG CAD BANE BTW, this dude is BUSINESS He's taken down Jedi, manipulated even Anakin He was once (and maybe still is though he must be very old now) the greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy. He also (at least in a cut scene) has history with Fett. He's the one who put the famous dent in Bobas helmet. So I think Filoni is setting up a live action show down between Boba and Bane that we were supposed to get in animation Also, we may get another Luke action scene should Grogu choose Bilbo's mithtil best and Luke returns Grogu to Din on Tatooine and he shows up during a battle Also ALSO there was once a Mandalorian who was a former Jedi named Tar Visla. So Grogu isn't the first to deal with this, but yes, you can't be both, but you can have been both at different times. That Mandalorian who was a former Jedi is also the one who forged the dark saber, the one Din has now So it's all connected

In the credits it shows Mark Hamill played Luke in this episode, but in the Mandalorian, it was played by a different actor so the CGI was easier to accomplish.

The guy who played Luke is actually the younger X-Wing pilot from the last episode. He was also the body double for Luke in the end of season 2 of Mandalorian.

Totally beating the dead horse here at this point, but you'd do well to get into The Clone Wars and Rebels at some point when you can find the time. Initially, I was a bit skeptical about those shows, them being animated series "for kids" and all, but what I found was some truly amazing storytelling. Being the old STAR WARS fart that I am from ye olde days, I'm pretty confident in saying that The Clone Wars, specifically the series finale (final four episodes), are THE best Star Wars that has ever been Star Warsed. Also, Cad Bane is freaking wicked. That dude is a true menace who punches WAY above his weight...and usually wins. He's a scary dude.

Great episode as always guys! Lost count how many times I’ve cried with all the references. Also the guy in the hat is Cad Bane, he featured in the first episode of season 2 of clone wars to my recollection. He’s a fan favourite as one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy, he single handedly took out a lot of jedi he was that good. Again great episode reaction and love you guys so much 😁❤️

We need more of them together talking about Anakin and stuff; there's so much to say about this episode. I can't wait for the next episode

Here’s your daily reminder to watch The Clone Wars before you miss out on more incredible connections. It’s so annoying to watch them not know who people like Cad Bane is. That was such a big moment. He’s literally in the next arc they were supposed to watch

That’s what I was saying too they were literally right there the next episode they would have watched would have introduced him, he said it 5 months ago that he’s on Season 2 and they’ll watch CW on their own time, clearly he hasn’t been doing so, and hasn’t even started season 2. Must’ve given up on it. Take in he doesn’t even know how Maul survived and came back, he only knows that Maul is alive through Solo Story.

As someone who didn't watch any of the animated series (but I know of it and some highlight events) I some what recognized Cad Bane's appearance but even without knowing the significance of the stranger, it was very impressive seeing the tension and danger play out as it did. I am very excited for the next episode and I'm so excited for the future of the series, The Mandolorian, and the other side projects that are emerging.

When they start bringing in more characters from the animated shows, like Ezra and Sabine for example, into the live action shows, Holden is going to have to change the name of the channel to "I watch Star Wars for the first time, 'cause I don't know who any of these characters are 'cause I don't watch cartoons."
