    FUN FACT: The older Spider-Man and world was animated at 24 FPS to make it seem like he was more experienced and smoother with his movement since he has been at it for a long time. Miles was animated at 12 FPS to make him seem jerky, unsure and clumsy as he didn't know his powers for most of the movie. You can really see it as they escape Doc Oct's lab as they are side-by-side. Once he takes HIS leap of faith while donning his new suit, he is finally at 24 FPS animation.

    This claim is all over the internet, but I'm sorry, it's not quite true. For instance, Miles is clearly animated at 12 fps on the train with Kingpin. There are scenes in the movie where the framerate is a sign of experience, or perhaps that Miles and Peter are out of sync. But for the movie as a whole, it's more complicated than this.

    @@velaro3 Certain action sequences for multiple characters are animated at a lower frame rate because it gives the action more "punch". The original comment isn't wrong though, the production team themselves said this was their intention with Mile's overall frame rate throughout the movie.

    That line Spider-Ham says, "The hardest thing about this job is... you can't always save everybody." Really chokes me up, even to this day. In every single superhero story, someone important to them that they couldn't save (like Uncle Ben, or Gwen Stacy in the spider-Man comics,) is a traumatizing memory that stays with them the most, their driving force to do their very best and try not to let anyone else die. But it's an impossible task, the cruel reality, and a rather mature theme that I'm glad they touched on.

    Thank you so much! And I 100% agree both with this somber message but also how great it is to see this handled in a serious and emotional way in an animated/ family friendly movie. Real life is tragic sometimes, and real heroes often find motivation from a pain or loss close to them; seeing that reflected in a superhero story gets me so much more invested in the experience because it rings true to my own life/ learning. I do really also like how the other Spider-People (who pushed Miles hard while training) were so kind to him after his loss: they knew when to push him and to give him live and support

    I love it when superhero stories include that element. It is such an important aspect of the genera. In a related note, I kinda wish that they touched on the trauma of Gwen's backstory. The person she couldn't save was Peter Parker, and that was her galvanizing point. And now, when pulled into this new reality, she is working side by side with another Peter Parker, who is now a Spiderperson, like her. But she never lets it interfere. But for her, that must have been hard, to see him back like that. I think that was, also, why she realized what he was doing with MJ at the dinner party. She was fighting to keep from doing something similar. I don't know if Peter B. Parker had his Gwen die in his world, or it would be similar for him too.

    The Peter from Spider-Gwens universe wasn't Spider-Man, but he wasn't exactly a regular guy. You have to really be looking to see it, but he was her version of The Lizard. The movie treats it like she does: glosses over it quickly. But in the flashback you see him quickly in shadow, and when we do see him he's got little scaly spots still visible.

    I believe the reason that Prowler (Uncle Aaron) actually covered Miles' face back up was to protect his identity from the rest of Kingpin's goons (and Kingpin himself). I don't think he was actually going to kill Miles because he hesitate long enough for Fist to get impatient enough to shoot him for not responding to his order to kill Miles fast enough. This is such an astonishing good and inspired movie. As much as I like Tom Holland's Spider-man in the MCU, I really wish that Miles had actually been the one that introduced the character to that continuity. (although I admit it would have left Spider-man: No Way Home feeling far, far different.) I'm looking forward to seeing the next one, though I understand it's supposed to be a trilogy and the third movie is having some trouble getting off the ground, so I guess we'll see.

    42 was put in the first Spiderman comic by Steve Ditko the cocreator and artist to pay homage to his favorite baseball player Jackie Robinson of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Throughout Spiderman comic history people reference the number 42 to honor Ditko and Jackie Robinson. 42 fits for Miles as the first Spiderman of color homage to the first major leagues player of color Jackie Robinson. Both from Brooklyn and breaking the color barrier.

    This adaptation is a loose version of a multiversal crossing in the comics that involves inter dimensional vampires which this, wisely, chose a route that fits a feature length film. If you were blown away at the first, wait till you see the sequel 🤯 🕷️ 🕸️. Also, the sequel is the longest western animated film at 2hrs and 20mins. I just hope that with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes happening that the third film won’t be delayed too much 🤞. Originally, Beyond the Spider Verse was suppose to be released in theaters next year in March, but because of the strikes, it’s going to be pushed back 😬.

    I don't blame you for not knowing this since you guys are young, but you said the "Porky Pig" Spiderman was a first-he actually had his own comic in the 1980s. You see, Marvel was trying a lineup of kids comics called "Star". It had Muppet Babies and Planet Terry (my favourites) and also "Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham". Funny enough, those comics were all but worthless on the open market before, and now they shot up in value after this movie

    the movie actually didnt make alot of money, on the contrary, it almost not broke even. but it earned enough and got such amazing word of mouth, tied with the best animation oscar and it got a second wind on streaming, where it really hit a stride. as for the sequel, it made more than 2x the original in the box office. and now people are campainign not to get an animated movie nomination, but a best movie nomination. it is that good. as a side note, this movie is one of the best to rewatch so you can notice the small hints. like when miles first meet spiderman, his spider sense is green and purple, because those are the colors of his uncle as the prawler. showing that, if not for that bite, he might've ended up as the next prowler instead. then there's some small bits, like aunt may calling doc ock "liv", showing that they knew each other as friends(POSSIBLY EVEN MORE THAN THAT). there's also alot of hints of gwen opening up to miles, and by the end, she takes his response very positively, which hints at her actually liking him back.

    I believe obviously uncle Aaron loves Miles. You can see it in his face immediately when he finds out it's Miles. He realizes he's been hunting Miles all along and how wrong that was. Aaron knows he's caught on the wrong side and he has to hide Miles' face for his own safety. He's blocking the Kingpin's view so he doesn't see Miles unmasked. When Aaron only has a few moments left he apologizes to Miles immediately and gave his parting words of encouragement.

  • @mannygee005

    @mannygee005

    28 күн бұрын

    let me explain that better, hahaha... 😊 As soon as Aaron finds out it's Miles, he is stopped in his tracks. He may be loyal to his boss but there is one thing he won't go against and that is Miles. He realizes he's been saying "No, no no no no..." all along. Then Kingpin's voice brings him back to reality and once again he stops. Now he knows what he must do and that is to protect Miles. The fear we see in his eyes is fear for Miles' safety. Carefully and slowly he hides Mile's face. Before he can think of anything else Kingpin decides. As Aaron falls he has a confused look and perhaps he regrets that he didn't get to decide what happens to him. In his last moments we don't see regret for his path in life. He only regrets having disappointed Miles. This means he accepts responsibility for his actions and from what we've seen he is a loyal henchman meaning he lives by a code of his own. It's just that he'll never go against Miles. Then he speaks from his heart to tell Miles to keep on going down his own path. I think this is what we saw happen. Also I think that Aaron never apologized to us and so that's why he doesn't explain his actions and motivations and so... we can decide... if we want to. But I believe in the end he did not pity himself.

  • @mannygee005
    @mannygee00528 күн бұрын

    I think Miles' dad didn't know Aaron was the Prowler because... he would have gone after him, right? I understand the comics will have a different story - each version is a different story, for example Doc Oc here is Olivia Octavius. Miles' dad Jeff, knows Aaron is running with the wrong crowd - but if he knew he was a criminal he'd go arrest him, right? He doesn't even like running a red light... and seems intolerant of any wrong-doing. "Comic-con" I think has to be San Diego... right?
