Those BF #39s IMO are one of the best knives to come out of GEC in the last 5 years if not ever!! Perfect pocket knife,#15 size, long pull clip main,pen in front of secondary with stellar action wrapped in ebony 👌

Just a clarification, the Bunny Knife is actually a brand new pattern (39) and not a 15. And yeah, the Northwoods gunstock was made by Queen. Also, I wouldn't worry too much about the etch on the stainless barlow; my two oldest GEC users (from 09 and 11) are stainless and I've used the heck out of them and the etch is still very visible. Excellent collection Paddy!

Thanks. The knife second from the right, I think you called it a bull nose. We call them sodbusters in the U. S. Most are made by Case. Mine is a XX with light brown polished hard wood scales.

Nice collection, Mr. Paddy. 7:35 I think the covers on your No. 56 are known as ‘Mardi Gras’ acrylic. The jester on the blade is one of the symbols of Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

Been looking forward to this video Stephen and it didn't disappoint - you had more success in culling your GEC lineup than I have! It's truly interesting to discover which of yours 'made the cut'. The Alligator is a future classic - it'll bite you if you let it go. The Bunny Knife (I have number 102 so we're nearly neighbours) isn't a #15, but a #39 - you of all people should see the PPP on the reverse of the pen secondary denoting the new pattern!! Agree about the unsightly etch, I removed it as soon as it arrived and the knife's much the better for it. Get some oil into that ebony too... Can't beat a #78, can't beat a Bull Nose either. Northwoods out of my league but that gunstock is a cracker. Your #56 is still a bit wacky for my taste, so I have more sober versions - fantastic if under-appreciated pattern. Lovely Appaloosa #73, Stockyard Whittler needs no justification (although it's Blood Red JB, not Elderberry), and the 25 is a little joy. The sawcut is there in that #77 I assure you - it's just very finely grained.

What a great line up of different types, sizes and colors of GEC. Thank you for showing them to us!

That whittler is amazing, I love the colour of the scales and the blade styles

Fan-TASTIC collection. The deep red bone sheepsfoot northwoods is fantastic, there’s so many amazing knives in that collection, some real sought after ones that you have in there. Those GEC bullnose are super popular at the moment, I think that “sod buster” pattern is gonna make a big comeback this year with makers, kinda how the Barlow did the last few years. 🍻

Really great collection of slip joint knives...I'm desperately looking for a model 21 bull buster, you wouldn't know where I could find one would you?....thanks for the awesome video and for sharing kind sir.

They're on eBay constantly. There's one there even as I type this. Idk anything about GEC aftermarket prices so I have no idea _how_ overpriced it is, so it's up to you to quantify exactly what "desperately looking for" means. If it means $250, then I have good news for you...

Very, very nice! I think my favourite of the bunch is the 'old' trapper, I think you said 35 pattern.

I like the 1st knife, you struggle with that clip point. I dont get it. I use my clip point every day peeling my "apple a day". The clip point gets in to clear the little stem and clear the skin around it. To me that knife is perfect. Even the lambs foot has a small enough tip to do almost anything with it. Two perfect blades. Might prefer a not so aggressive bend in the handle but. I like that knife and the one that ended up next to it on the left. The two out of the collection I would pick for myself. My daily user favourite knife in my collection is a Black Bone Medium Stockman

Hello Sir, the smartass in me has to mention that the bunny knife isnt a #15 pattern. It is the same size and has the same blades from a GEC #15 but it is a #39 pattern.

As you know my friend Ben Belkin….the Jack Wolf Knives creator… started off as a G.E.C. collector/aficionado. As we were talking one day he avowed that in his opinion the double oak Barlow…the #86 pattern…is the best thing Bill and the folks over in Titusville ever made….ever. Owning three of them I obviously agree. Love that Cyclopes Iron Works stainless. Works great on both thick rope and thick steak!
