It’s good to see someone taking the time to create and edit an inspiring and instructional long video instead of pumping out a load of short video shit.

@@BRETT74022 i would not call this "instructional" , but i do talk a lot about all kinds of sci-fi nerdiness regarding this ,yeah :D anyway thanks, i agree!

@@NuclearSnailStudios btw you're looking for the word wood stain. Varnish is generally considered the same as laquer. Wood stain literally stains it into a different color

Good call on not installing a front grip...I agree it would make it look "too modern/tacticool," but even in modern combat and sporting rifles the forward pistol-style grips are being phased out in favor of barrel shrouds and similar accessories...simply grabbing that wooden stock.foregrip would be "more accurate" as well as being more comfortable.

Love that the "battery" holds tactical snacks. It's snacktical.

And more than just an adjustment between subsonic vs. supersonic, a voltage dial could adjust for range...a setting that would allow you to pick off a target at 5km would not be ideal for picking off a bad guy in a crowd from a rooftop without a vomit-inducing amount to collateral damage ("Fuck your target and the 8-9 innocent people behind him"), where a crowd-shot setting wouldn't do anything but startle that sentry 5km away (if the projectile would even reach him)...you'd literally have the ability to dial in your range to target for ideal effectiveness.

@@Gilleban yeah good point i dindt think of! also obviouskly more powerful shots would consume more energy. still a concern in a world where the batteries would not exactly be cheap i figure

@@NuclearSnailStudios It just shows that the lore you centered around some of your "small details" makes total sense in "realistic" ways...you want to conserve energy (why take one shot when you can save power and take ten?) while I'm thinking of ways to take better shots (deer hunting would suck if all that was left of said deer was a fine pink mist)...both equally valid reasons for having adjustable power settings but from different angles.

Very cool. Looks like a gun that could be in the more recent Wolfenstein games. Did you need to sand or prep the metal before painting or does the paint stick well enough?

i did some sanding, then just sprayed with a resin-based spray which is kidna hardcore.. but honestly, dont overthink it, just spray & pray in this case cuz its post-apo. significant factor was to let it dry long enough despite it LOOKING dried rather fast - the times i dindt let enough time, too large splotches of it fell off when i was applying sanding, and it looked like shit, so i had to re-spray :D ..heck i might make anothervideo with making-of pics sometime
