Been using for years already. I use a proxy card here in the UK, like Curve. That way all your cards work through the proxy card.

Apparently revolut is now supported by garmin pay. I've had to set up a curve account on my girlfriends watch a few years ago which worked great

Apple does support way more cards, maybe even more in for example Europe.

My problem was that Apple does not allow the Apple Card to be linked to other payment systems like Garmin Pay. All other cards I have added from different banks seem to work fine with Garmin.

Hey brother did it ask you for Code while you linked any of your cards ?

I do not recall a code request. Do you mean from the Garmin App or from your bank?

I also use Garmin pay and do not need to type in the pin every time. Only one time if I removed the watch from my wrist.

I have found it randomly asks for a passcode, but I wear my watch very loose except when working out, so it might be losing the HR data.

@@ThisIsJulianC Thank you. I’m getting crazy battery life with the 51 epix. I use sleep mode from 9pm-6am, wrist activated and 1.5 hours of GPS six days a week. I have had it for 10 days. Started with a full charge and still show 15 days of battery life. Crazy!

@@mattpeters6224 If the Epix Pro 51mm had existed a year ago I would have bought it for sure, for the battery life and also the X sizing which suits my wrist better. Sounds like your experience is good so far!

It already does what you wish for. After you successfully enter your passcode, you can make payments without a passcode for 24 hours while you continue to wear your watch. If you remove the watch from your wrist or disable heart rate monitoring, you must enter the passcode again before making a payment.

I was wondering why you were such a hater; Garmin Pay is great and have used it since the fenix 5X.

Forerunner 955 replaced the FR945 in mid 2022, the FR965 replaced the FR955 this year with different screen tech and much improved GPS. Forerunner 945 is two generations old now, would not recommend it however it is still available.

@@ThisIsJulianC I understand all that but it still a top notch running watch that does more than most runners will ever need. Same for the Fenix 6x. The “latest and greatest” is not always necessary.

@@tyresejackson9665 I think everyone understands that. The FR945 was not a touch screen which made entering the passcode for Garmin Pay more time consuming than with the later touch screen watches. That was the purpose of referring to it in this video. Could you still use it if you wanted, yes of course. The FR945 is still a great running watch...but so is my FR920 using that logic.

@@ThisIsJulianCYou’re right! I still see runners using the FR 735xt and I love it. I’m still using my FR 945 and it still looks and feels brand new. I’ve seen no reason to upgrade. LolI guess I’ll upgrade when it stops working. My logical also saves me a lot of money. 😅

You do not have to enter your passcode every time you use Apple Pay with with wrist detection enabled unless you remove Apple Watch from your wrist.

i know that’s what i wrote. But on garmin you have to put the code every time… thats what i am saying. I watched you say that the complexity using between apple and garmin pay is the same , but if you have to press every time the passcode on garmin its inconvenient ..

@@georgegiannopoulosthat’s not correct, Garmin pay requires a pin once every 24 hours unless a heartbeat is not detected - such as when you take the watch off of your wrist. Which Garmin do you have that asks you every time?

@JulianCass I don't own any recent Garmin, i assumed that from your video, it wasn't clear (at least to me), if the passcode procedure was required every time you pay with it. My AWU does the same thing you mentioned - requires the passcode only when taking it out of your wrist... Great review and very comprehensive explanation and speech. Thank you.... now i will just have to resist not to add an Epic Pro in the collection...Lets see how that goes in the near future with Blood Pressure and Glucose sensors on smart/fitness watches..

You shouldn't be using you card pin for your watch pin it can be other than your card pin
