Some ideas: raised beds (herbs or plants) at the end of the patio to separate the garden, and make it feel like 2 garden 'rooms,' parasol for the seating area, raised beds along the fencing at the bottom with inbuilt seating, a waterfeature at the bottom, mirrors on the back wall. You must be thrilled to finally have your garden!

I would get some pots and a few evergreen plants for the end of the garden to give it some interest and distract from the concrete.❤

You should put a fire pit area on the concrete slab at the back of the garden! Would look amazing and then if you decide to build on it in the future an easy thing to move 🔥

As someone who has just got a new kitchen, I can fully understand the excitement for renovation 😂

I think you could probably paint the concrete pad if you're wanting it to look even. And you could get some big potted plants on there, too. Something you could sell or rehome if you do decide to go for the pod.

The garden looks great, you can get some metal tape from the garden centre that will stop the snails from coming into the garden. Also a couple of copper acers on the bottom part of the garden might look great - they are lovely and you can pretty much leave them aside from watering in the summer

Hello, the snails hitched a ride in the soil and was transported to your garden. It was a smart move not to go with the rim because the ball's bounce after hitting the rim would put the ball in your neighbor's yard often. That wall is a prime location for a dart board, I would design it to make movie night setup easy without having to take it down, it's flat so that should be easy. Plus I think this is the version of you I like best all natural, it is just me though. The bathrooms came together really nice, I must admit I thought the green was to much but I am corrected it is my fav out of the 2. Since you already have a jacuzzi put the jacuzzi in one corner a clay pizza oven on the other so on cold night the oven will give added heat to the area, I would also try facing the oven towards the jacuzzi just so you can see the flames. Now you have 4 easy to use items to entertain. It is sad you didn't have a warrantee on the work done, you shouldn't have to pay for any errors like that. Plus you say you need content and my suggestion would be when you ask your sister to come riding she was a bit heartbroken I think she wanted to stay if only for the weekend go riding then go home, just my thought. Hope all is well.😎

Build pergola out at the back this will allow some beautiful plants to thrive like wisteria or any other beautifully smelling climber plus you can have gorgeous lights

Did you have to drag all the sod through the house? I watched Luke and Zara do their garden and all the stone came through the house in buckets. It was back breaking but they have so many beautiful plants. That would brighten it up a lot.

You can paint the concrete slab. I saw a person use a stencil to paint concrete. It made it look like it was tiled.

The real grass is so much better but I would recommend you teaching your dog to do his business on one of the hard surfaces to prevent your grass dying. We have real grass and taught the doggos how to do it on the side patio at our old house and then we did actually get a tiny bit of fake grass in our new one in an area you can’t see for them but we do let them obviously play on the normal grass.

We have a similar yard and tried turf, but then decided on a high quality artificial turf. Looks super realistic, and I chuckle when I look down over the yard and see my next door neighbour mowing and trying to get their turf green, while ours looks perfect all year round with no effort. You can also do a long strip garden on the sunniest side to ensure there’s a good habitat for insects/bees etc

The garden is looking lovely. You could get some clip decking from ikea for the concrete won’t cost a fortune and could have a little table and chairs. Also on your mini patio you could get some nice tallish plant/trees and maybe some colourful plant hanging baskets just to add some colour or some outdoor lanterns xxx

Im really interested to know why building companies don’t cover the costs when mistakes are made and have to be redone? Why do the home owners get lumbered with the costs?

Your garden is a lovely size. Have similar concrete area and we have just covered with nice white pebbles. Looks so much better and above all is low maintenance. We also have outdoor cinema. Sit round fire pit on a summers night watching movies. Perfect. Good luck with rest of house. It looks beautiful. You should be very proud of what you have achieved.
