You could make another shelf to go above your generator area to add some more room. Maybe make it removable for access

Hello Jess, I am from the Uk. I have worked in car dealership all my life 32 yrs and valeted at least 10 + of them. We would shampoo seats daily. I found the easiest way was, dry vac seats first, then have your shampoo solution in a 1.5 ltre pump bottle. Always start with the front seats, the main reason for me any over spray and chemical splater could go on the back seats you have not cleaned yet. Also I would always start top of the seat and work down. As long as your chemical is good and strong, you find you do not soak them. Hope this helps 🙏

Thanks so much, great to know! I definitely have some learning to do when it comes to extraction but love the tips!

Yes, you don't need an extractor unless extremely necessary and its been best with the one you build with a shopvac. When really humid I would recommend an air mover so whatever part was still humid inside then could dry faster. Using a dental pick isn't incorrect but also there are those that are plastic with a spongy tip. The Meguiars APC is awesome but when it dries, if you see it leaving like a white residue, then just a matter of diluting it a bit more, still it will work great. I also used the Gyeon but changed to using Phoenix EOD Titan and/or DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss. The one from DIY Detail lasts longer but both are great. One product that I like also for dressing interiors with is Majestic Solutions Poly Protectant which has a protective shield against pollutants and UV. You did an awesome job and greater when your customers give you a positive feedback.

6:05 a good tip is buy a real extractor so you don’t spend so much time on one seat.

I have considered it! Any thoughts with humidity and extraction? We run about 90% humidity here all summer long with daily rain showers and I always get nervous about the amount of moisture that it releases into the seats.

Have you ever done a video on cost of the business cost of chemicals to insurance tools breaking down to replace and you van maintenance to oil changes repairs and just part of profit it takes to keep everything up and running.

I haven’t, but I spend just over $1,000 on insurance a year, $1.50 on gas per detail and only about $400 in chemicals a year. As far as the cost of vehicle maintenance, it’s my personal vehicle so that’s just a life expense and I can write the mileage off to offset it all…it’s pretty basic, do you think I should do a video on it?

@DetailWithJess definitely! Love the how to content but to be honest I really feel the actual detailing is the easier part compared to running your own business.
