hey :) I'm two years away from uni at the moment and I'm of thinking of UCD as one of my choices, but initially I was kind of concerned about the distance since I'm from the UK. This is how I came across your videos which have really helped me to get an understanding of the place and not to worry so much about the possibility of moving away so far, thank you!

I use the canon rebel t3i camera, and the rode mic! I don't work in dublin as of right now, but I'm hoping to get a job next semester :) Thank you! xx

I just got my conditional offer to UCD for next year! I was wondering if you can go through -to an extent- what you bought with you from home v. what you purchased when you were there? I'm coming from NYC and I don't want to haul too big a portion of my life to Ireland, but at the same time because it's far and all I don't want to need to ask for my parents to ship me stuff. Any tips? Thanks!

just posted a UCD Q&A where I hopefully answered your question but just incase I didn't, I brought- my clothing, things to decorate my dorm room and make it feel more like home, and a comforter (just because I wanted to have one from home), the rest I pretty much bought over there :)

Nice room! I'm Brazilian and I will go to Dublin on February 2017. I will study at Griffith College, but not a degree course, just English to improve it xD... do you have a job in Ireland or just study?

Make sure Griffith is legit. The language schools in Dublin - not all but many are nearly criminal entities. Ask the Irish Embassy in Rio for advice - I'm sure many places are legit, honest.

Son Oliveira Griffith college is legit. They have schools in several cities around the country and you can study accounting to law. I k who some graduates. But I know what other guy is saying, i believe there was a scam running at one point relating to language school here...

Just curious as I am going to UCD this fall. All dorm rooms have a lock right??

I assume when flying, plane ticket and luggage price and anything you need help with in Ireland, your Irish family would most likely be happy to assist with anything.

I live in Ireland and I don't need to pay for bags. U only pay for the reusable ones. U don't pay for plastic bags. It's Northern Ireland that charges u for bags even plastic ones

Clodagh Friel it was brought in recently in most big supermarkets and has normally been in most rural shops. Better for the environment as it encourages you to buy the reusable bags

Yep, I hear you. Totally normal. Some days will feel like it's the greatest thing you've ever done, and then the next you'll be looking up plane ticket prices. You'll do great!
