@@Esmeb89547 the plate bread plate (injera) with different meats and veggies is the staple dish of Ethiopia. Injera is made with teff flour which is the finest flour in the world and tastes quite sour. Highly recommend!

Looks like you had -Sambusa as appetizer Entree -Key Siga wot (beef cut in cubes and cooked with onion and berbere as the main part of this ingredient) -Alicha Siga Wot (same process as key wot but this has turmeric instead of berbere) -Kitfo (beef chopped into small pieces and seasoned with mitmita and filtrated butter alongside other spices) -Gomen - Collard greens (can also be cooked with meat ; Gomen be siga) -Tibs - cubed meat sauteed in onion and tomatoes and green peppers. -Misir - red lentils made with berbere as well -Doro wot (that's the one with the chicken) prepared with berbere as part of the ingredient. -salad -kik - yellow split peas cooked in spices alongside turmeric to give it that golden color -dinich be karot (potatoes with carrot) ... Idk what that thing is between the salad and the gomen (collard greens) is but looks like fitfit which is injera peaces saturated with some kind of sauce or some tuna based food. ... You should try Shiro. Then mix tomatoe, cilantro, jalapeños mixed with vinegar salt and oil together as a little tomatoe salad and add on the side. It is the easiest dish to make and also the yummiest. You're welcome😂😊

Favorite memory of Vegas was going to a traditional Ethiopian restaurant off the strip. We were the only tourists there. They were welcoming - the vibe was great and the food unforgettably delicious ❤

It can also be extremely dry, just like any wine. I make my own mead, it all depends on how long you ferment it and how much sugar you add throughout the process.

My father was stationed in Asmara back in the 60s. He's told me so many stories, including how him and his buddies would ride their motorcycles down to the Red Sea. How he fell in love with an Eritrean woman (too long of a story to explain why I'm not half Eritrean) . He absolutely loved being there. I was introduced to Ethiopian food by him. He made sure to remind me to only use my right hand to be polite (I knew this already from being in Iraq). I hope to visit someday.

🇪🇹 Injera is a fermented flatbread that has a spongy texture. It is traditionally made from teff flour. It is thicker than a crepe but thinner than a pancake. In Ethiopia and Eritrea, injera is a staple. Injera is eaten similarly to how Nigerians eat banku, fufu or kenkey. Food is eaten with your hands, using the injera to scoop up the dishes.

I go to a corner store near my job at least once a day, Mon-Fri, and it's ran by an Ethiopian family. We just light up when we see each other. Somehow we get jokes and laughs across. And yeah, I remember that pancake they use to scoop all that flavor up

@@Esmeb89547 the plate bread plate (injera) with different meats and veggies is the staple dish of Ethiopia. Injera is made with teff flour which is the finest flour in the world and tastes quite sour. Highly recommend!

Looks like you had -Sambusa as appetizer Entree -Key Siga wot (beef cut in cubes and cooked with onion and berbere as the main part of this ingredient) -Alicha Siga Wot (same process as key wot but this has turmeric instead of berbere) -Kitfo (beef chopped into small pieces and seasoned with mitmita and filtrated butter alongside other spices) -Gomen - Collard greens (can also be cooked with meat ; Gomen be siga) -Tibs - cubed meat sauteed in onion and tomatoes and green peppers. -Misir - red lentils made with berbere as well -Doro wot (that's the one with the chicken) prepared with berbere as part of the ingredient. -salad -kik - yellow split peas cooked in spices alongside turmeric to give it that golden color -dinich be karot (potatoes with carrot) ... Idk what that thing is between the salad and the gomen (collard greens) is but looks like fitfit which is injera peaces saturated with some kind of sauce or some tuna based food. ... You should try Shiro. Then mix tomatoe, cilantro, jalapeños mixed with vinegar salt and oil together as a little tomatoe salad and add on the side. It is the easiest dish to make and also the yummiest. You're welcome😂😊

Ethiopian food and Ethiopian people rock. I worked with an Ethiopian Orthodox man that was one of the nicest, most humble and genuine people I’ve ever met. Shout out to all you good folks out there!

Favorite memory of Vegas was going to a traditional Ethiopian restaurant off the strip. We were the only tourists there. They were welcoming - the vibe was great and the food unforgettably delicious ❤

My favourite at the local cafe was Kenyan, then it was missing from the menu for a year. When it was back it doesn’t taste the same 😔 Luckily I’m in Indonesia which has great and cheap coffee.

It can also be extremely dry, just like any wine. I make my own mead, it all depends on how long you ferment it and how much sugar you add throughout the process.

My father was stationed in Asmara back in the 60s. He's told me so many stories, including how him and his buddies would ride their motorcycles down to the Red Sea. How he fell in love with an Eritrean woman (too long of a story to explain why I'm not half Eritrean) . He absolutely loved being there. I was introduced to Ethiopian food by him. He made sure to remind me to only use my right hand to be polite (I knew this already from being in Iraq). I hope to visit someday.
I enjoyed watching this because I am open minded and adventurous and I would try different foods from different countries. Thanks for the video.

🇪🇹 Injera is a fermented flatbread that has a spongy texture. It is traditionally made from teff flour. It is thicker than a crepe but thinner than a pancake. In Ethiopia and Eritrea, injera is a staple. Injera is eaten similarly to how Nigerians eat banku, fufu or kenkey. Food is eaten with your hands, using the injera to scoop up the dishes.

Ethiopian food is so good.
I go to a corner store near my job at least once a day, Mon-Fri, and it's ran by an Ethiopian family. We just light up when we see each other. Somehow we get jokes and laughs across. And yeah, I remember that pancake they use to scoop all that flavor up
