Another great video bro! These videos make me want to visit and checkout Pakistan. It really seems like most people there go out of their way to welcome any guests. So much curiosity and willingness to interact with foreigners. Very rarely do I see visitors paying for chai and many street foods Side note.. it always seems like your “wild” bro is racing to beat you to questions and comments if you are next to each other. I always notice the people can be confused or overwhelmed when he is right next to you and over talking. But overall your content is still great! Thanks for bringing us along on your travels! ohh no hope you felt better after.. always bring back up meds in case .. when i visited Philippines after 20 something years i didnt have that problem, i have a stomach made of steel lol.. the locals are very friendly and is so accomodating, thats always a good sign. thanks for sharing this video.

avoid all kinds of street drinks including sugar cane juice and all other juices openly served, and especially avoid any kind of ice in any drink. the water used in any drink and the ice made of water is absolutely not made of filtered water. if you ever try any juice plz tell them no salt in it coz its is customary that they put black salt in almost all kinds of juices and drinks, The black slat has a very unique and weird taste due to sulfer contents and this will spoil the whole juice and drinks. it is an acquired taste and most foreigners are not used to of black salt. As long as any food or drink is piping hot while served you are safe , anything at room temperature, you need to stay away for your own safety . good luck , enjoy your Journey in Pakistan Masood from Omaha, Nebraska , USA

Funny you say that, I never had any issues from street drinks in my entire trip even though I thought I would 😂 The only time I got really sick was from a street samosa cause of the bad oil. It was a people watching paradise haha, so much happening everywhere! I dont think it was a sweet actually, I think it was a straight up tamarind 😂 I would be very surprised if you liked it haha

Is that Imli or Tamarind at 30:10 , if that is then you can use them in salad or mix use a cup of water slightly warm and some dry apricots add sugar then boil and cool then drink! best for hot summers and Ramadhan Mubarak.

Oh, I missed this video upload yesterday. 😬 But what a lovely adventure. I was also confused if what qahwa is..because if I my memory serves me correct qahwa in Saudi (arabic) is coffee while tea is chai for which I also missed drinking it especially if added with mint or they call it na-na. Maybe they call it differently and a good example why I like watching travel explorations to learn and discover new things. ❤

No, Kahwa is not the same as coffee. It is similar to green tea. And in Arabic it is not called Kahwa, it is called Gahwa.

@@miansoban137 it is called 'Qahwa' (Qahwa, Gahwa) in Arabic, it is one of the main flavors of the Gulf, including Qatar. Though it has various spellings (Khahwa and Gahwa) it is pronounced as Qawa. No sounds of letter G as well as letter V and P that exist in the Arabic alphabet.

Fun fact - The food (Daal-chaval), Jost didn't try because of food poisoning, is actually mothers remedy for all stomach problems all over India and Pakistan 😅 #kichrikibehn

@@TheJourneyofJosh uff sorry to hear that brotha, gotta be careful experimenting around the street food mate. I'm Pakistani American and when I visit I would eat out occasionally at most but not too much to avoid getting sick...Got stomach ache pretty bad during end of my visit last, home cooked is best. Some tips: always drink mineral bottled water, and not any random brand but specifically Nestle only. There are a lot of brands of mineral water in Pakistan with half of them not actually mineral water but mixed so be careful. 2) Always check exp date on any products you purchase before eating, trust me I've caught some and informed the shopkeepers of the past date. 3) Don't go all out on the street food because it's extremely tasty yet dangerous too 😉. Also you could be lucky and just get some minor stomach ache or prolong stomach issues if eaten the wrong posion. 4) Careem is your best friend in means of transportation, similar to Uber but with some twist. There is also an app called yango which I've heard also has good reviews. 5) Not sure how the situation is now for currency but when I was there in 2023 there was a shortage of dollars at one point and it was even being sold at a higher price. Pounds might be a different story as they were getting a great exchange rate even then. It was like 300+ rupees for a pound, so much better than the dollar ....Also that being said don't be over generous while paying because you'll run out of rupees fast , inflation has been not so good there...let's see ummm oh if you're still in Rawalpindi try checking out the ciniplex movie theater, in Saddar. Nice big park there and a McDonald's if you want 🤓. Enjoy your time Josh and don't get too lost in the sauce

I am also from Rawalpindi. I would love to meet you. But unfortunately i am seriously ill now a days. I am suffering from Ulcerative Colitis. Pakistan has a lot of things to offer. The beautiful landscape like mountains, lakes, rivers etc. Pakistani food is recommended around the world.

We have a variation of that tamarind candy. However, I believe our version-which we call minatamis na sampalok-is better. It's my favorite. So I guess our Muslim people learned their selling manner from them, or perhaps it is a Muslim thing. Please watch what you eat, Josh! Take Care.

Here’s a tip bro if you want to meet British Pakistanis , go to mirpur ( specifically Dadyal) 70% of British Pakistanis are from this small area and plenty of the diaspora visit Pakistan in that small area so your likely to run into many British born Pakistanis over there

Caste is not an appropriate term. You should call it tribe in Punjabi it’s called Bridari, Zaat, Qoum or Qabila. These words translate to tribe, cast means something different it’s like how in India some people are preists or soldier caste. But Jatt, Gujjar, Afridi this is all tribe.

It's not about the price, its the principle. I tip drivers if they are honest with their pricing and not overcharging just because we are foreigners (Doesn't matter what country) Go watch my Saidpur village video.. we tipped our driver because he gave us an honest price and was a great guy. And I've put a couple thousand pounds into the economy in the short time we were here, thanks. 🙏

It's not the spicy food. It's the water and any salad or fruit washed in that tap water. Dairy, cheese products as well. Westerners are not used to the local bacteria. I was told this while visiting Cuba. Hot, fried foods kill the bacteria.
