I think what is most important to understand is that K-pop is an industry, NOT a genre. There is a HUGE misconception out there that so called K-pop music is all pop... it's NOT! We certainly don't call British music B-Pop. We need to stop putting music from other countries into a box. Rap is rap, R&B is R&B, Pop is Pop, regardless of the country the music is coming from. 💜

K-pop IS a genre. Just like pop in America or pop in Britain. Not all Korean music is called K-pop. If it's rap, it's just called rap. If it's puck, it's just called puck. And so on. Same as in Japan. J-pop is a genre. Yes, BTS branches out to touch many different styles but most K-pop groups do not. They stick to the same formula of a set style. That style whould be pop. K-pop because it's from Korea. Population music from Korea. Just like pop from Britain is British pop.

A lot of idols can't sing live and their voices are embarrassing, but Taehyung V has the best, most beautiful, and strongest voice. Не kills everyone. He's also a dancer and the king of fancams. He has the most viewed fancams in the history of K-Pop and also the most famous. He's a producer, model, and actor, and he can do... Everything....🔥💜👑🐯

V is definitely the R&B/Jazz/Soul crooner of the group. He loves old school Jazz... Sinatra all the way. 💜

V is probably the most musically inclined out of the group. He's got the voice along with the range, dabbles in Jazz/Bossanova, pop, rap, and more a few more genres, and he also plays multiple instruments. Not to mention the way he carries himself on stage and in public. His love for music overflows, and you can tell by the fact that he always wants members around him. Whether it's with BTS or with other band mates. His music and the music videos always have some sort of nuanced complexities that are pretty much unique to him. Making music with other people is a feeling I will never get over.

He is only this muscially inclined bc RM gave them music playlists to listen to when they were trainees. He introduced them to a wide range of genres as part of their music education. It was so sucessful this same process is now used at Hybe for all new trainees. Not to suggest that they haven't developed their own musical tastes as they have gotten older.

V is an old soul. He loves crooners 😂 His whole solo album is timeless. He also has his latest single Fri(end)s which has a live performance too if you want to check it out. RM (another BTS member) just released Come Back to Me which is an awesome piece of art cinematically and musically. 💜

BTS is so crazy bc just like you found out that Jungkook and V are so different, the other 5 members are just as different too😂 It still amazes me how all 7 are in the same group. There's a lot of personalities, talent, different vocal tones and styles there, and the fact they manage to create a perfect synergy is like a miracle. They are really special 💜

Everyone in BTS is so unique. They can all be solo artists if they want to. I recommend RM Tiny Desk he is the leader and one of the rappers in BTS. BTS did a Tiny Desk as a group too.

😂 V and baby making music is well known 💜 I can definitely recommend V's solo song on a BTS album called Singularity, especially the live version that starts with him lying on a bed! That is definitely baby making music. Although, as is typical with BTS, the deep and meaningful lyrics are far from that topic! It would be great if you could react to the other 5 members' solo songs, see just how different they are, and then do BTS group songs to see how unbelievably amazing they are in bringing such different artists into a cohesive group.

Taehyung's relationship with his entire team (actors, dancers, the band, the staff) left me even more in love with that beautiful man🥹❤️ It's so cute to see him interact with everyone so naturally and so close. The work environment stops being work with him around, Taehyung makes people feel comfortable with him. He's someone so warm, with so much charisma, that his joy and enthusiasm is contagious, it's impossible not to adore him, not to smile when you see him happy, know someone like him or more precisely him is to win in life. More than co-workers, they end up becoming a beautiful family, who welcomed Taehyung and made him feel free, he enjoyed working with them so much that it comes across the screen. Layover was such a perfect example of V's music! He did the music 🎶 which isn't considered popular music especially in SK. Bravo to V for putting out an album of music 🎶 that he wanted to do. I am proud of all 7 members doing projects as soloists that reflected their individual styles. We got 7 solo releases plus 2 more so far in 2024 and Jin is coming back. These guys gave us so many "gifts" with their music. We are so lucky ARMY 😊🫠

As others have pointed out K-pop is an industry not a genre. BTS started out over 10 years ago as a hip-hop group but has evolved a musical profile that incorporates multiple genres from hard rap to pop and everything in between.

At them moment he's serving in the Military Police but will be back in June 2025. But we've just been told by their company that BTS as a whole have new song coming out in June which we realise will be for ARMY (fandom) for their 11th birthday. Usually they hold a Feista for their anniversary where they eat talk to us and get a little bit drunk. Clearly while doing their military service they can't do that this year but they've pre recorded a song for us.

I think you need to reevaluate your opinion of Korean music. Jungkook and V are members of a group of creators, artists, and musicians. It’s clear you have many preconceived notions about KPop, which is an industry and not a genre. You will find bands that fit your stereotypes, just like there are more “manufactured” US groups. But, you will also find honest musicians who happen to be Korean and in a boy band. Korea and Japan are different countries. I hope you both read the comments and listen to our guys without preconceived notions. Good luck on your journey.

Indeed Jungkook and V are really different in their styles but you'll quickly discover that every single member is completely different. As a fanbase (called the ARMY), we often joke about how they literally have 7 different music styles/personalities/artistry in a single band and they make it work even better ! You'll really enjoy discovering them as they have, no lie, the widest range of music any artist have and hundreds of songs. That means, no matter what your genre is, you'll find songs you like and some you might enjoy less. Anyways, as much as medias like to put groups in a box, BTS is no typical "boyband" and even in the Kpop industry, they're totally different. BTS are pionniers in some way and have a totally different story. But most of all, they've been working very hard for a decade, literally starting from scratch in a company that was on the verge on bankruptcy only to have made this company one of the biggest economic sources in South Korea nowadays. They literally are the one who paved the way for Kpop artists outside of Korea. To make it short, there are 3 rappers and 4 singers. Before debuting, two of them were underground rappers and another two of them were dancers. And on top of being amazing rappers, singers and dancers ; BTS members write, produce, take part in the artistic concepts, music videos, dance choreographies, ideas... Everything basically, in collaboration with their company staff and artists. They're really on a lane of their own and I think you'll see that for yourself when you react to more. Plus, they have one of the strongest bond with their fans and they just reciprocate all the love they receive from us and even more ! Also, I think you should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS. They'll put you on many informations about the group, the members, how they work and everything basically. Because above learning about their group history, these guides make you understand their music a lot more in some way. That was my case when I first became a fan (and I'm sure I'm not the only one). I guess learning about the background of each member, their background as a group and the way they work for their craft, makes you understand the music (and the artistry) in a much more complete way. Seeing all the silver ARMYs popping up in here makes my heart warm! I’m not quite there yet - 40 year old ARMY here lol - but I love seeing our diverse fanbase represented! You’ll find so many different genres and styles and stories within the discography. In Korea, family is greatly emphasized, so everyone introduces themselves in daily life with their family name first, then their given name. So I would introduce myself: "Hello, I'm Sealana Angela" if I were Korean. You may see in the comments that people call V "Kim Taehyung." Kim is his family name (what we refer to as last name) and V's given name is Taehyung. Pronunciation: Taehyung rhymes with "Pay-Young" and Jungkook rhymes with "Sung-Cook"

Once again, kpop is not a genre but a industry. A lot of people have a misconception of that. Anyways, that's for the reaction! Also, something to keep in mind is that army (BTS' fandom name) likes BTS and they are part of kpop in some way (they actually go beyond that for many reasons but that's on another conversation) but that doesn't mean we like the whole industry. Many don't even listen to kpop and just BTS, so just to keep in mind that some may find uncomfortable to be called kpop fans when they are not unless they are multis (fans of many kpop artists).
