"Operatic" is the word! The sweep of passion, the emotion, the story coming through the words - that's the sort of thing you'd get from grand opera. I don't know what it is, maybe they don't write songs like that anymore, but mostly I think men don't SING like that in public anymore.

This is what I call not normal human behavior. Sir Tom Jones is not normal. He's special. He has one of the most amazing voices the world has ever seen. It's just true. This is proof. Thank you for reacting.

Tom at 83 years old still has an incredible voice. He can still hit them high notes. Listen to i will never fall in love again. It will blow you away.

Glad yr digging him so much! Tom is one of the greatest singers ever. He's 82 or 83 may be a judge on the Voice UK and definitely is still performing. Said to have retained 90% of his singing voice. Incredible song and singer.

Ben E. King sang the original , and it was released in June 1963. Shirley Bassey also released a version in September 1963 . This version by Tom Jones was released in 1970 . He really does put everything into his performances !! What a voice and what power !! This song is quite short , but that gave us more bloopers etc so that was good !! Great job as always !! 👏🙂♥️

I love Ben E King and Shirley Bassey, however Tom had the best vocal version. Btw all songs back then were short due radio plays, it's a shame, as so many of the songs in the past that I love are really short

tom jones is a rare singer who does not need any autotuning he has a superb voice over the last 6 decades and is still doing concerts at the age of 82 he is a LEGEND an amazing voice that could sing rock, r&b crooner style one of the great voices of all time. It is so refreshing to see the comments of the younger generation who reacted to his songs.

Autotune would have been impossible for Tom to of even had since it was NOT even invented until 1996. But of course he did NOT need anything but a microphone. I believe autotune ruined things for singers, by allowing undertalented so-called "singers" to cheat and sound good even when they can NOT even really carry a tune, or actually sing at all. Autotune is down right cheating, And I wished it had never been invented at all. Whats next ? ... Replacing the guitars with a CD player ? Drums replaced by a computer program running AI (Artificial Intelligence) ? Geez, I pray it doesn't, although some of these newer bands can NOT even perform a single song without a laptop computer running pre-recorded instrument(s) Recent example, is when "Falling in Reverse" had to cancel their entire concert because they lost their laptop & could NOT perform a single song without it. I miss the good old days of raw talent and if you didn't have any, you simply did NOT make it. Because there were NO "cheats." Before too long I bet they will have complete "bands" without a single human being in the entire "band" where everything is computer generated AI !!! But let's pray that doesn't happen, and folks get back to how things use to be. Back when people learned their instrument(s) & practiced, until they were great, because they could NOT cheat.

I would suggest looking at Dame Shirley Bassey version of this, plenty of TV and live concerts, she and Sir Tom Jones are friends from the 1960's and both from Wales albeit two different parts, Sir Tom became the oldest person to have a number one album aged 80 in 2020 he's still working, well he'll be back in the New Year after having a hip replacement operation, even with the discomfort during his tours of the UK, Europe and States he carried on this year, and Dame Shirley will be 86 in January and still working, sang live twice on TV this year in the UK as both have sung songs from James Bond films Sir Tom " Thunderball" Dame Shirley only person to have recorded three " Moonraker, Goldfinger, and Diamonds Are Forever " between them they've sold out theatres and stadiums since the 60's had their own TV shows on both sides of the pond and sold at least 400million records, and another thing they have in common as with many from this generation, they take the work seriously but not themselves and only sing live

At the time I was in the Welsh Gaurds Choir and we had to sing on his show one week lovely down to earth man, even though he was a massive star

I recommended this to you a while ago and I'm glad you finally found it. The first version I heard was Ben E. King's version, which I loved. Shirley Bassey also did a great version, but this version by Tom to me is the best. This is a perfect example of a "torch" song, another being "Fever" by Peggy Lee. My favorite song by him.

Great reaction to Tom Jones! I used to watch him back in the '60s when I was a kid. Believe it or not at over 80 years old now he can still do it almost as well as then. He is a coach on The voice Great Britain. If you like this, I can't recommend highly enough reacting to the same song sung by 6-year-old prodigy Angelina Jordan from Norway. It was her very first time in the studio and will blow your mind! She will be 17 next month and currently has almost 200 performances on KZread. First of all, I don't want you to think. I'm a man hitting on you because my name comes up as Sam or Sammy. Also, I'm a white woman and my father loved. Tom Jones, Wilson Pickett, not kingko like totally everything. See, I'm in Canada and we were p*** w**** t****, so couldn't afford stuff. We weren't home for 6 or 7 years. And dad would bring us out every so often. And we have the radio and we loved music. It had to be good. We didn't see color because literally. We could not see color LOL. It was the radio and then we had black & white. TV. Isn't that sarcastic LOLI am now 60 and I'm just telling you, you are a beautiful young woman. And I am glad you're looking for all the older music. The one thing I've learned is I'm not very good on social media computer stuff but back in the day, everybody saying they didn't have autotune not sure what that is, but I think it's something they have now but not back then so anyway.
