My opinion on this has changed many times but currently I think Shoot to Thrill is the best song on that album, and definitely Brian's best vocal performance in AC/DC. They really use him like a fifth instrument on this track.

Same. I keep going back and forth between which songs I like better on the back in black album. But this one is currently my favorite.

I love the guitar tones of AC/DC. It’s dirty but clean at the same time. I think they play on the clean channel they just crank the volume and distort the speakers, creating natural distortion. That and everything was recorded analog, so nothing was compressed digitally meaning no audio data was lost because it was all blended by the manual hands of a producer. It makes a difference.

The best on this great album. Brian sacrificed his voice for this album and For those about to rock. God bless that man.

A roomate of mine once remarked..and he was not into hard rock, but AC/DC has such a back beat and energy...it gets even guys up bebopping and dancing. They were so high energy. I saw them once and of all the concerts, it was probably the most pumped up atmosphere. I have been to many that have some kind of down where you lose energy. Not with AC/DC. You don't that is how electric and high energy they were/are. I saw them early 90s at Wash DC and it was a 17K building. One of the wildest funnest concerts ever.

If the aliens came down and said, what is rock ‘n’ roll? this is the track I would play them, greatest rock, and/or rock ‘n’ roll song ever, you might find a couple as good, but none better, this is them firing on all cylinders, not to mention this was right, in the thick of punk and new wave and everything else that was going on, and this just came out and planted the flag for rock ‘n’ roll one more time, thanks boys

It certainly helps a lot when your Band has a metronome on Drums. Phil Rudd is a very naughty boy, but one of the best Rock Drummers of all time. If RICK PARFITT wasn't the best Rhythm Guitarist in history, then Malcolm wouldn't be the #2 Rhythm Guitarist. All hail the Kings of Rhythm Guitar. RIP - Rick Parfitt RIP - Malcolm Young If you don't know who Rick Parfitt was, then I strongly urge all of you to google him on Wiki and scrutinise his high energy techniques on LIVE videos. Rick's Guitars were the heaviest strung Guitars in history. Other Guitarists tried to play them, though it was way too hard for them. One Guitarist 'joked' that he nearly broke his wrist in his attempt to play one of Rick's Guitars, though not far from being a reality. Rick may have been a gently spoken man, though he was The Wild Man of Rock n Roll. " 4500 Times I told you how much I care" Have a listen (very loud) to "LIVE" the double album by STATUS QUO from the mid 70's. You'll hear the greatest Rock Band of all time, playing the best LIVE album ever recorded.
