He was not a fat man. His body was filled with a full orchestra, choir and director.
You probably know by now, but you were listening to one of the finest operatic tenors that ever lived.
His voice can make you cry even when you don’t understand the words, the look on his face at the end . It seems even he can’t believe what he just did.

That’s the magical thing about music, it transcends & connects us in ways we can’t explain. That being said this song is from an Opera written by Puccini called “Turandot”. If you understood the context of & what he’s actually singing about it makes it even more powerful & emotional. When I see people’s positive reactions to this restores my faith in humanity & gives me hope to❤

None shall sleep, None shall sleep! Even you, oh Princess, In your cold room, Watch the stars, That tremble with love And with hope. But my secret is hidden within me, My name no one shall know, No... no... On your mouth, I will tell it, When the light shines. And my kiss will dissolve the silence that makes you mine! (No one will know his name and we must, alas, die.) Vanish, o night! Set, stars! Set, stars! At dawn, I will win! I will win! I will win!

Luciano Pavarotti is actually resetting his breathing after such a climactic end to the aria. He was coming down from the high of such a performance, along with the facial expressions. Which is totally understandable ☺️
And that's one of the greatest voices you'll ever hear

When we take time think of what Italy has contributed to culture in the last 3000 years, it's absolutely overwhelming.
Your reaction was perfect. Luciano (sadly, tragically for many of us) died in 2007. RIP to a master tenor!
The greatest opera singer ever RIP ❤️

Best voice and best technique. It looks totally relaxed in his throat and jaw. Very powerful and effective. Puccini is Puccini on the other side, a great opera composer.
He was, no he still Is wonderful 😍😍❤️
Your face was priceless. If you’re not moved by him singing that it’s really simple. You’re dead.

I love how he's like "What?? Play that back!!"
Hey man, your reaction shows me that you were just as touched as I was. Goosebumps all over my body. My English is not that good.
The Great Luciano Pavarotti.❤️
Massive privilege to see another person be completely astonished by Pavarotti. Wish you all the luck in the world fella. Go well, and may the wind be at your back.
Everyone who hears an opera singer for the first time is blown away by the power of their voices. Their voices are so powerful because they perform UNAMPLIFIED. Their voice has to reach to the top and back of the opera house. That's one reason why their voices sound the way they do, but it is also the reason for the power. Even third-rate opera singers can blow away pop singers with the power of their voices, and you are hearing one of the best tenors who ever lived.
Nothing will ever match this particular performance. Not in a billion years.

If people only listened to this one piece of opera, the world would be a different place
Music transcends language. Your reaction was priceless. You might not have known what he was saying, but you know what he meant.
They say that either you love opera or you don't. If you love it you will always love opera.
I’ve watched many of theses videos, people reacting to the amazing Pavarotti . . But for me this one was the best . . ❤️

I am 69 and I never get tired of listening to great music. I was sitting to listen to Mario Del Monaco, and Bjorling, and Franco Corelli, and Di Stephano, etc. when I was only 5 or 6. I am always thrilled the same way.
I'm so glad you were so taken aback by him. He was brilliant!
You just watched the GREATEST VOICE OF OUR TIME. now Caruso and Ave Maria.
I am so happy to watch your expression as you discover the beauty of other types of music. Bellisimo!
People react to opera differently. You just showed that you have a good heart.

Wow . The world csn still celebrate his talent and genius through these recordings since he passed away a few years ago. When Pa-vor-a-ti finished this song you could tell he gave everything.
Awesome reaction!
Hello, I don't normally join in with comments but it was a genuine joy to see someone moved by Pavarotti sending everyone Nessun Dorma. There's been nothing like him, he was astonishing. Glad you were a bit shocked by it, glad you found it. Go well.
Good for you, broadening your musical horizons with some great opera! You would no doubt really enjoy seeing a live opera if there is an opera house near you. The one I used to frequent was the Santa Fe Opera. Pavarotti was indeed one of the best of many wonderful operatic tenors. My favorite has always been Mario Lanza, an Italian-American opera singer. He chose to perform in movies rather than the operatic stage, and Hollywood chewed him up and spit him out. Sadly he died in his late 30's. He was sometimes criticized by the snobs and purists but it was he who brought opera to the masses & introduced the movie-going public to opera. I was a teenager when he was in his prime and I really loved his movies. He sang classical opera, some Italian traditional songs, and some songs in English. He was on the radio, in jukeboxes, and our private record collections. I spent some of my babysitting money on his 45rpm vinyl records. Sometimes it was even our make-out music, that and jazz. Here's a link to one of his biggest hits sung in English, Be My Love. Listen to the lyrics & imagine someone's kisses making you feel dizzy: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZWh3xJV9YNSuo9I.html
His best ever performance of this can be found at the original 3 tenors concert in 1990. Jose Carreras was taken aback by it,that's how good it was.
That was a voice of an angel Sadly missed.
Look up the words and you'll understand why it's so powerful, when he hits that high c and roll his Rs is out standing.
Ave Maria, which he sang at this concert, is gorgeous.
High art - highest art - impressive you are exposing yourself to this. The best standard by which to judge all music.
Touches your soul every time ❤️
Pavarotti is singing to his love. Puccini is the composer. LOVELY
You should look at the three tenors…excellent!!
Greatist opera singer of all time; second to none!!! And......thank you, thank you, so much for not interrupting his performance; you're a class guy! He is dubbed by all the musical expert of the HIGH C!
It rips at one's heart and soul doesn't it? How very sad that a whole generation (almost) has mised this spectacular genre of music.
Nice one dude. Could tell you really felt that
Luciano Pavarotti was and is a legend throughout the world. He also spread his love in mostly all genres of music by bringing in artist from around the world to sing in front of immense crowds in city centers because arenas would not hold them in number. One of the most viewed is ( it's a mans world) with James Brown try this one out to see how Luciano mingles opera and pop/blues/ rock like it existed together the whole time. Great reaction

Your reaction was prefect!! i am putting the meaning here for you to enjoy when you listen again to his heaven voice. He is the GOAT = God of all Tenors :) None shall sleep, None shall sleep! Even you, oh Princess, In your cold room, Watch the stars, That tremble with love And with hope. But my secret is hidden within me, My name no one shall know, No... no... Thank-you so much for this
The Great Maestro named LUCIANO PAVAROTTI had the ability of using his exceptional voice ..... he usually touched the souls of the HUMANS who heard his arias...... and the ANGELS stopped in fascination just to listen to this miracle voice of a MAN.
You know you are watching one of the best operatic singers ever when you can see his face embody switching gears like a race car.
Those last words: I will win. Very POWERFUL!!!!!
Dude was sitting down while he sang this. All that power, while seated. The. Man.
I was honoured to see him live before he died. I cried when he sang Nessun Dorma.
Connecting the heart with vocal cords!
And this was him LATER on in his life. You should hear some recordings of him doing it years before when he used to hold that last note LONG and it was so effortless!
There will never be a voice like Lucciano's, ever again😔
What did you watch? The greatest tenor who ever lived, that's what!
Pavarotti was excellent when it came to matching up the perfect facial expression to what the song was conveying through the lyrics. That is especially demonstrated by the last line in Italian: "I will win". Most singers sing it the same way because it is supposed to be the stance of a warrior but, Pavarotti brings it to a whole other level. Pavarotti had a symbiotic relationship with this song. Pavarotti lived to sing this song and the song lived to be sung by Pavarotti.
Serg, my precious young man, lol, still want to attend one of these events in person?? Yes, I thought you would .... LOL Seeing your reaction made my evening since I could see the reaction written all over your face!! LOL Bless you, young man, always keep ALL genres of music in your life ....... it will enrich your entire lifetime!!
Thank you for being openminded to react to this classical master. Indeed a master. I enjoyed watching you. God bless!
Immenso ineguagliabile ..maestro pavarotti
Yes, way back! The smile on your face was priceless! Glad you are searching. Keep it up.
"What did I just watch?" That, sir, seems to be the response of all the reactors on here. And never in a bad way. Alway in a "bloody hell that was brilliant" way.
You've just been musically educated young fella.
Wow que reacción! Muchas gracias por este video, el maestro Pavarotti es y será por siempre.
You have such a beautiful reaction to this piece. I've watched this clip at least 30 times, and your awe is just the best. So honest.

Oh bless you Glad you enjoyed it.Heard it before but still like the first time so don't feel less than
Like Basketball is to sports, Opera is the most expensive form of musical production. Too bad you're too young to have missed hearing this gift in person, he could blow away every other performer with his incredible vocal talent, breath control and professionalism in all musical genres. Check out his 1972 MetOpera performance of, "Ah! Mes Amis, Quel Jour de Fete," from Donizetti's "La Fille du Regiment," 9 high C's made him known as King of the High C's. Incredible! Thanks for sharing your listening session.
Your reaction is so sweet
Omg shivers..dats a singer
Adored your reaction to the master!! New sub here!!
the Master mumbles his Jaw, look at the Partiture, concentrate...then looks up, opens his Mouth- Dang Gotcha. Everytime, everyone:) should copy paste that:) great honest reaction, and i am happy for you to expirience the LP magic:)
Pa vo rat ti ☺️ The Italian words Nessun Dorma mean let no one sleep or nobody shall sleep. Be sure to listen to it again all the way through without interruption. He also has a duet with of all people, the godfather of soul, James Brown. Just type it in the search box of KZread and you’ll find it. It’s fabulous!
Powerful! Three Tenors, watch them!
Opera is one of those things, you are brought up on it or not. If you are, it can affect you-just listening to it-even if you don't understand the language. I speak English ( and some gibberish) yet can still appreciate this kind of music. That Kids are looking into this type of music, is Fabulous. Until Mom got too old to travel, used to take her to the Met, in NYC. Wife's musical knowledge started with Mowtown and ended with Disco. She stayed home-happily.
You've just watched possibly one of the greatest things ever to have been recorded in human history.
please don't stop every second this beautiful music...THANKS!!!
Glad you liked it.
Che meraviglia vederti emozionato mi ha emozionata 💯💯💯
We have to take into account that Puccini is a very great opera composer as well.
Sometimes the world and life is beautiful.
He was a great Italian opera sing and he was in one movie ago long time. You have a ear for classical music 🎵 to grasp the concept
Loved your reaction..one could almost cry..am I right?❤
Beautiful reaction
