OMG, that was a perfect version, identical to the original. The vocalist sounded just like Peter Cetera, it was amazing. You don't really need to hear the original, this band nailed every note!

Ross go to their YT page. They do it all to perfection by Chicago and Danny Seraphine played with Igor on the drums too. They also do Steely Dan and Earth Wind and Fire. You’re gonna love it!!!!

Yes the vocalist is awesome but Cetera is from the 3rd Heaven.

I make it a point to see Leonid and Friends every time they come to the U.S., they are a tremendous talent, every single one of them!!!

Did you notice that as the credits closed at the end this was recorded in Moscow, Russia in 2020? The originator is the base guitar player and most of the artists are Russian citizens who speak little or no English. Starting off with nearly all “Chicago” classics from the late ‘60’s through the early ‘80’s they are now beginning their 3rd U.S. tour.

Until you watch the original band Chicago playing this tune, you'll never really understand or appreciate what a phenomenal job they did covering this song.

Leonid & friends are taking the music of my youth and breathing new life into it….beautifully, masterfully, joyfully, and gifting it to a whole new generation of listeners.

That bass player too...he broke down the whole song into all the parts by ear.

Leonid & Friends are AMAZING musicians, and their covers are just SO. DAMN. GOOD !!! A fun one of theirs to check out is “I’m A Man” - they really knock it out of the park !

Aren’t they fabulous! I saw them in concert last fall. The original group, Chicago, were huge for decades. This band here are Russian and Ukrainian! They have so much joy and connect with the audience so beautifully. They are a Chicago tribute band. They learned the songs by ear as they didn’t have sheet music in Russia for this. I’d recommend something livelier for a first pick- like 25 to 4. They also do Earth Wind and Fire- In the Stone. The lead singer, Serge, sounds like original Chicago lead and pop superstar, Peter Cetera.

Serge has left the band for now. He is from Ukraine and has bigger fish to fry. The new singers they brought in are amazing, too. The female, Ksenia Buzina speaks and sings in 6 languages, but the rest barely speak English. A little bit of trivia. The band Chicago liked them so much they had a link to them on their website and a couple of members actually played with them,

I stumbled upon these people two years ago and I was amazed how note-perfect they were in covering Chicago's songs, particularly this one which I've loved since I was 8 years old in the 70's. When they break into the epic horn section chorus, it gives me chicken skin. I'm happy you're listening and these dedicated musicians are noticed.

The amazing thing about these world class artists is that most of them are not fluent in English. i am fortunate to have heard them play live and have met them as well. They are so gregarious and humble! A must do to see them if they are near your area!

This band is amazing, every song they do is perfection! I'm finally going to see them in May. Can't wait to see them live!

I just saw them in concert for the third year in a row. This year I was able to meet them after the show. Their love for their music shines through.

Thank you Mia once again for a wonderful reaction to this classic originally sung by chicago with Peter Cetera as the lead vocal!!.....this group was truly one of the prominent bands of the 70's and 80's!....From my understanding "leonid and friends"....is a group from the Ukraine and parts of Russia....that has been featuring the music of iconic groups such as chicago and "Earth Wind and Fire"!!.....when u get the opportunity...i urge you to watch more of their stuff!! these people are truly outstanding!!

Horn section is amazing! Chicago horn section is difficult to get right. They nailed it. Tight, incredible range, balance, articulation, and insanely talented! Wow! They did Chicago right! One of the best bands all-time. Leonid and Friends are in no possible way a cover band. They are a tribute band. Geeez, that was good.

Incredible, love that song. Only guy that could sing such an incredible almost perfect Cetera in this younger years.

They are superb, been there since the beginning and downloaded all. Someone did say they're Russian didn't they? Serge sings from his own studio in Kyiv.

These guys gotta be one of the absolutely best cover bands in the world!! It's crazy how good and talented they are and the lead singer here sounds almost like Peter Cetera!!

Glad you discovered Leonid! Ive been following them for 4 years. Seen them in concert 4 times. If you get a chance see them. The original Chicago band has endorsed them. Ksenia the female vocalist is totally awesome. Great band AND very humble if you see them in prrson.

This man can play his chords and progressions. Whew. Of course he had to put in the time and effort.

Great reaction. I saw this band in St. George Utah about 4 years ago live. They were amazing. 2500 person small venue, what a treat it was! I wish I had bought the back stage pass to meet the woman LOL . She has solo work as well.

I don't know about the best. Joe Cocker did all covers, as did 3 Dog Night. Each was a master at doing covers. Actually Joe Cocker remade the originals into his own rather than copying the originals. 3 Dog Night's "Try A Little Tenderness" follows the original for the most part.

I just discovered this band a few months ago, and I think they are absolutely amazing. You really must watch them play some more Chicago songs AND their covers of Earth Wind and Fire songs, "Fantasy", "In The Stone", and "September." You will be blown away. By the way, I really liked the way you didn't interrupt the song to talk and instead you wrote your feelings onto the video as the song progressed. Very cool.

These guys are absolutely amazing , If you get a chance listen to their cover of 25 or 6 24 by Chicago ! All these guys are amazing at their craft , but the horn section is INSANE 🤯

Sergey Kashirin, their original guitarist, is the first guitarist I have heard that really channels Terry Kath's spirit in the solo...all the inflections, the phrasing, the power and energy. Super-amazing version, and incidentally, that video was the start of my L&F journey. I'd put it up there as one of my favorite videos of all time...definitely in my Top 10...check it out!

Had the pleasure of experiencing this group one week ago in Durham. They are truly incredible! Serge, the lead singer has left the band to fight the Russians in his home country of Ukraine....

Yeah, it's like that. ❤ BTW, Russian band who started out very little English. Just memorized the words. But, yeah, gifted for sure. Find the back story on Leonid and friends if you want to understand more how the started and came together. They've been very busy and have traveled the world. 🎉😎👍💯❤

If you haven't heard the original then you should listen to more of Chicago. Personally, I prefer to listen to Leonid & Friends but you have to hand it to Chicago for creating these masterpieces. Leonid, the bass player, had to create all the sheet music for all the performers by listening to the original versions as no sheet music is available in Russia for these. I had the pleasure of seeing Leonid & Friends twice in 2019 when they were still touring the US with both Serge and Sergey who you see in this video (the lead singer and main guitar player).

Iv'e always loved their rendition of this song! Just flawless! My only complaint is I wish the song was longer.

Great job Mia. I saw them in Minneapolis in 2019 when they just started touring in the United States and they sound as good live. I also got to meet the band after the show and all of them were so nice. The lead singer is in Ukraine right now and fortunately his wife and children were able to get out of the country right when the war started. Although they have a new guitarist and lead singer, they still sound amazing. Check out their cover of Earth Wind and Fire's "Fantasy". You will love it. Wishing you the very best with your channel. the older guy playing bass in this video, is the one who organized this band... he's a very good multi-instrumentalist... and came across all these songs from the 60s and 70s that used lots of horns.. i doubt anyone else in the band was even alive when this song, and most of the others they cover, came out...

She is a superstar in Russia and China. Besides her native Russian, she speaks seven different languages including , Chinese, English, Italian, Armenian, Kazakh, Bulgarian, and French.

I love these guys (and the one girl) like I loved the original Chicago. Honestly I would rather listen to Leonid and Friends do Chicago's material but it was Chicago that brought it to us to begin with so hats off to both. The present day group Chicago just doesn't sound as good to me as the original group did, which was amazing. I'm going to see Leonid and Friends in Jacksonville, Florida in about two weeks and can hardly wait as I've been watching their KZread videos about 3 years now and so I'm really looking forward to this live performance. Good job young lady.

I agree 100% they are carrying the torch for the next generation of Chicago lovers. I saw them in May and will see them every time they come to NC.

Since L&F began playing tribute songs of Chicago, many other groups have sprung up playing various Chicago songs, as well.

Check out their website. They will be coming back to America in a couple of weeks to do a very extensive tour of the eastern half of The United States. This band is just as good live..sans the orchestra. The lead singer on this song is Ukrainian and has not been with the band since the invasion. Every show is dedicated to love and peace thru music.

They’ve not only mastered one of the most iconic bands of the 60/70’s note for note but have been expanding their repertoire to many others with equal success. Tune in, turn on, enjoy!!!! I used to rewind this Chicago song over and over. If you do Chicago, please start with the early stuff and work you way up. These guys are from Russia and the leader arranges everything by ear.They seemed to be obsessed with Chicago.

Yes Mia, Leonid and Friends are an amazing talent that can cover a band like Chicago so accurately. But, as you state, you do not know the original band Chicago. So how is it that you can critique a comparison from an objective viewpoint?

And to think they are all from Russia/Ukraine and no little to know English. They sound identical, if not better, than the original.
