Gloryhammer rides that perfect line where you can listen to it as a joke or in total seriousness depending on your mood.

Like with all the best "jokey" bands, Gloryhammer work so well because the music behind the cheesy nonsense is actually legitimately awesome. Dream Evil are essentially on the same track. Just cheeky lyrics on top of genuinly great Metal.
All 3 albums have a kick ass narrative and they all end in a 10 minute ultimate showdown that is awesome to hear everytime

they do actually have a "fantasy" album, like, medieval high fantasy, being their debut album also, their albums follow a story, from the 1st song of the first album to the last song of their latest album, its all one storyline, theyre basically the dungeons and dragons of metal lol

High fantasy has been influencing metal since the beginning of metal, Gloryhammer isn't unique in that regard. Helloween, Summoning, Blind Guardian, Gygax, Throne of Iron are some bands more deserving of the phrase "the dungeons and dragons of metal"

I am so going to listen to more of these guys on my own free time no matter what I’m doing! Looking forward to more Gloryhammer reactions like this one in the near future and due to your positive feedback to these guys for the first time, not only do I think you will but I also hope that you do! Can you believe that the singer actually works as a notary in his regular life?! Imagine him being late from a video shoot rushing back into office and forgetting to take off his armour.
This band has created an insanely detailed lore around themselves and their music
I would LOVE to see you react to more Gloryhammer! Their songs are all so fun, and they're super talented.
This is exactly what we need during these trying times in the country/world... something that, although silly, just makes you smile. An escape.
Gloryhammer is 100% their epic-level D&D campaign put into song form
The way your face lit up as the song turned it up to 11 right at the start is just priceless. I can’t find too many videos where there’s just that look of pure, unfiltered joy in someone’s face.

Thank you! We've been asking this for a while... now you need to react to The Siege of Dunkeld to feel the full epicness of Gloryhammer.
Avatar - Hail the Apocalypse Avatar - Paint me Red (live wacken) Airbourne - Back in the Game Stone Sour - Tired
Oh now you have to react to "Unicorn invasion of Dundee"!!
Seeing them live is a glorious thing to behold. I have been fortunate enough to see them both times they came through the states and will never turn down an opportunity to see them.
Each Gloryhammer album is just a magnificent power metal space opera.... And I could ask for nothing more. I LOVE THIS BAND.
Possibly the best part about Gloryhammer songs and albums is that they form a full story, from start to finish. And it's so ludicrous and yet so good...
Great Video as always Iced earth: cthulhu, dracula or raven wing Nighwish: storytime Black Label society: suicide messiah

About fucking time my guy! They are such an awesome band, and electrifying live! Hoots!
Finally! This was my #1 suggestion not too long ago and I'm glad you finally reacted to it. My next suggestion for Gloryhammer is Hootsforce since the story follows from Gloryhammer. I'm glad you liked it!
Each album has it's own narrative and it's freaking awesome and it continues through each song
Gloryhammer is one LONG DnD campaign that needs to be listened to from track 1 album 1 all the way through to their current album

There are so many bands I want you to react to, Gloryhammer was easily at the top of that list. I'm super-happy you've done this video! Here are some suggestions for your future reactions: - Gloryhammer, Universe on Fire - Kobra and The Lotus, Black Velvet or Light Me Up - Battle Beast, Straight to The Heart or No More Hollywood Endings - Exit Eden, Skyfall - Beast In Black, From Hell With Love or Blind and Frozen - Ignea, Alexandria - Brothers of Metal, Yggdrasil - Helion Prime, Ocean of Time - Kishida Kyoudan & the Akeboshi Rockets, Gunjou or CircleEnd - Reuben, Deadly Lethal Ninja Assassin
I've been waiting for you to react to this band for so long! They have so many good songs. Please do another. :)
Fun fact, this 1:1 their stage outfit. If you can catch them live (hopefully anytime soonTM) prepare for a great treat in absolute over the top sterotype power metal. The fans usually take that aspect to the next level arriving with all kinds of unicorns, swords, aluminum crafted armor...basically like the Alestorm crowd but instead of pirates it's a fantasy-scifi-unicorn-metal mash up ^^ so much fun
Oh yeah love this band so much glad you like it as well 😁
Knew you'd love this group. "Hootsforce," "Magic Dragon," "Universe on Fire," honestly I could recommend just about any song they've done but those are among my favorites. Gotta love a good power ballad.
Yes, Gloryhammer has that power to turn you into a headbanging Thor/Green Lantern hybrid.
My wife's favourite Gloryhammer song is Rise of the Chaos Wizards (which is somehow in space for some reason). The chorus is pure power metal magic.
Could you imagine their D&D sessions lol. Although the story they sing about is definitely a higher level campaign. Flying across the galaxy, blowing up planets against the cosmic might of Zargothrax and his Chaos wizards.
Chris from Alestorm writes the music for this band he also plays the evil wizard Zargothrax/keyboards. He doesn't tour with them anymore though because he has to tour with Alestorm. They have three albums that follow a story. The first album takes place in 992 Scotland and the main character is Angus McFife I. The second album takes place in 1992 and the main character is Angus McFife XIII.
Gloryhammer is essentially one big story across 3 albums. Also, fun fact, the keyboardist for GH is the frontman of Alestorm, and voices the evil Zargothrax.
Rise of the Chaos Wizards was my introduction to Gloryhammer. They're so much fun. Fun fact, the keyboardist (and the evil Zargothrax) is the frontman of Alestorm (who's music you should also react to)
