If it wasn’t for the song Fanny I would have never have followed their career and even their younger brother Andy Gibb. The Main Course album was the first album I bought. Then a started listening to Andy Gibb. I mourned Andy, Robin , and Maurice when they died. I still mourn them.

They're some of the greatest singers and song writers of our time. Grew up on them since I was born, and their love song are phenomenal.

Barry and Maurice Gibb both have such great falsetto ranges and they time those High falsetto Harmony's so perfect to each and every song they sing.

As a teen in the 70s I remember most of my friends making fun of the Bee Gees during the disco era. I stood my ground and told them they were fools. The Bee Gees were more than a disco group. And even their disco songs were good.

This was the third single release from the album " Main course " it was released in January 1976 . They were Super talented like you said. Plenty more Bee gees waiting to be discovered... They never disappoint . I Enjoyed listening to your feedback on the band! 👏👏

I still remember buying the 45 (7" single) of this song and playing it over and over and over. This remains my absolute favorite Bee Gees song!!!!

the BeeGee's had several no. 1 albums in a row and then there was a huge backlash to "disco" and they fell out of favor so they wrote and produced albums for other artists and they were all number one albums too. Yep, they were talented, very talented.

Barry would most definitely have been girls pin up man back in the 70s. He isn't bad looking at 76 either. Not only that he's a lovely kind gentleman, who has worked hard all his life and had earned his success.

A slower more folklike song on this album "Main Course" is "Country Lanes" sung by Robin more a throwback to their late 60's and early 70's period

You need to check out their early days they had big hits with songs like Words, run to me , Gotta get a message to you, I started a joke, so many more ! But check out Words first you won’t be disappointed ! It was a number 1 hit in Germany Switzerland and I believe the Netherlands ! I think it was a top 10 hit in the U.S ! Great song

They were so young when they started in Australia 1960

I've read that when they were writing this song they wanted to make it about a particular woman. They decided to make it about the caretaker lady at the studio, her name was Fanny. Lucky lady got her own Bee Gees hit song. Cool!

they were so talented! they had some great 60s hit! and then the 70s happened and they were mega big!

Barry gibb the last remaining Bee gee is still making music today He just released a duets solo album in 2022 called Greenfields Volume 1

Robin is the star in this one his falsetto was the crown higher than barry!!

It was Maurice on bass who created the disco beat

One of the best songs that they released was called For Whom the Bell Tolls in 1993, It will blow your mind.

Many people have no idea that Robin Gibb was A Genius as A Producer as well. For instance, I wasn't aware myself until about 20 years ago when I picked up the 2nd - and final - album by TIN TIN, Astral Taxi. It's a completely overlooked Masterpiece.
