Been following for a few years, and I must say in super stoked to see you on a kayak. I'm 100% a kayak angler, both for bass in my local lakes here in Central Florida,as well as inshore when I can get to coast. I have always loved your content, hope you do some more on the kayak even though I do hope you get another boat, but hoping you please mix it up with the yak as well.

My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. kzread.infoUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!

As a former kayak angler, leave a bit more line out when you’re about to bring the fish up to unhook. If you leave some more line out and lift the rod tip up it will bring the fish right against the yak. Then, depending on rod holder locations you can even put in in a holder while unhooking. Tight lines good sir.

The Hobie drive is way more ergonomic! Those soft plastic rudders don't track well. Thing about kayak fishing is putting in close to where you want to fish. It takes up a bunch of fishing time peddling miles to reach "your spot". Also consider using it to get you to a flat and staking it off (anchor) to wade the area. Best of luck to you Lawson! Tight lines bro!

Just missing your fishing videos and doing my best to try and learn as much as possible about how to fish for, gear to use, and have a better chance at hooking and landing inland canal saltwater fish such as Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Sheepshead, etc. I don’t have walls or any mangrove trees here in New Port Richey, FL. 2 small tips I can give ya on the kayaks is turn your rudder slow. If the kayak has a good rudder system you shouldn't need to turn it very much to turn easily. Second is it seems your pedals or seat needs to be adjusted closer together. When you pedal, you typically Don't want your knees to be fully extended on every peddle. You'll get more speed and use less energy with smaller strides. Ive been on hobbies for my whole peddle drive career and I've learned some of the little details makes a big difference for fishing all day lol. Welcome to the kayak angling life! See ya! ❤

Lawson, please put some foam on those rods. They sell them for cheap with Velcro straps. You can take it off while you’re using it, but trust me, if you flip it that’s a lot of money in the water. Lost a Curado DC, Chronarch G, and Stradic FL on nice rods that way in a ripping current. Make sure you have a PFD handy and also not a bad idea to practice (in a pool) recovering the kayak after flipping.
