Filipino food is so underrated. Everyone who tastes it really like it a lot but it’s still mainly undiscovered by the world. It’s time for it to shine.

Agree 100% I have always loved Asian food, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese....Had Korean a bit...but up until a few years ago had never had Filipino food. Then one opened up right next to the place I worked (sadly gone now, replaced by another Filipino place I don't think is as good.) I tried some things that looked interesting and just was like, why have I never eaten this before? It's amazing! Pancit palabok (shrimp-garlic gravy noodles) sisig, something they called torta at this one place (ground pork, tomato, potatoes, vinegar, garlic....) ....and fried eggs and garlic fried rice. MAN. So freaking good!
I just love her. She loves food and she can really eat. She’s not worrying about how she looks when she eats, she’s just enjoying the food. Love it

My favorite of all is Jessica...you know it's good when you're messy and don't care and just keep eating...lol...That's when you know she's loving every minute of it. I just fallin' in 💘with this lady. I'm filipino and knows how she is feeling right now and love the Pata, sisig and of course lumpia. You must try my favorite dish "Kare Kare"....Thank you for loving our famous dishes...God Bless BTW like I said love the way she eats it all up like the video with tasting Jollibee..lol
for a bit of a background, our cuisine traces its roots to our various native ethnic groups' different styles of making and preparing food and was influenced by many cultures over time, such as Malay, Chinese, Spanish, American, and even Arabic, Mexican, and Indian to some extent. that is why Filipino cuisine is often referrred to as a "melting bowl" of different cultures. anyway, i love this review! the way you eat and describe the food is very natural, unlike other food vloggers who can be too pretentious. the way you pronounce the names of the dishes are very good as well. also, you're so pretty! you just gained another subscriber. i suggest you might want to try other Filipino dishes next such as chicken inasal, sinigang, adobo, caldereta, and my favorite kare-kare. i'll be waiting for that.
you never go wrong with sisig. Sisig and Crispy Pata are best for drinking party! and you’re right beef soup (bulalo) is best for sick , hang over and cold weather! lumpia is always present at filipino celebration!
I am filipino and I am very happy because there is a foreigner who loves filipino food. it's nice to watch you eat because you're obviously enjoying what you're eating. especially the crispy pata and spring rolls.😅 next filipino desserts!😂 God Bless you always. New subscriber here.😊❤
the way you eat filipino food makes me want to go out and buy some right now !!!!
Thank you for being open-minded and truly appreciating Filipino food for what it is.
You just summoned a Filipino, btw when we eat “Nilagang Baka” (the one you called bone marrow soup) we usually partner it with fish sauce and calamansi and chilli in it, it would be super perfect combination
@pyrokatarina

yess this one right here. the calamansi is mandatory because it adds more to the flavor and cuts down the fat
Okay now THAT'S how one should eat Filipino food! It's so fun to watch you
I love how you ate all the pilipino special foods you eat like a filipino you eat with your bare hands just like filipino did...love it bona fettit
Love how you just dug in, even with the cabbage! My kind of girl! 🙌
just love you dig in with the food like a real Filipino. espanola? as Asians, we eat food with rice, rice is life. hope you do more Filipino vlogs. ❤️
Man I wish your videos weren’t so short. I love the way you eat and your personality so much
I used to work @ the Kaiser Permanente in Panorama City in the 90s and there was a Filipino place right across the street from it that I went to every day. I absolutely loved it. It's also where I found out about Sriracha. Filipino food isn't very good for you, but damn, it is delicious! I need to try out this place.
I'm a Filipino and has travelled to 87 countries in the past. Nothing like Filipino food. If I may be totally honest, you made me drool just by watching you eat the dishes you ordered. You made me so hungry, I intend to do groceries tomorrow and buy all the required ingredients for the Crispy Pata, Sizzling Sisig, and other stuff that you ordered. Thank you kindly for featuring a couple of our Filipino dishes in your reaction video. Stay sweet and lovely. Ciao, Bella!!!
you could eat that cabbage whole how'ever you wan't and us Filipino people would thank you for it, filipino food is not as presentable as other country's food is cause originally we eat it with bear hands, and that is the traditional way, but appreciating our food and culture is really awesome!!,👏👍 hoping someday I could cook for the both of you,,😁❤️
For bulalo we often make a dipping sauce for that by mixing 2-3 tablespoon of patis (fish sauce), 1 calamansi (or 1 teaspoon lime/lemon), and one red chili that has been sliced or crushed. I love how you ate our food, that's how it is eaten and you gave it justice. 😭🥰😍
oh dang...you got the important Filipino food items, in my opinion or at least to my taste. my trick to eating the TapSiLog (Tapa-Sinangag [Garlic Fried Rice]-Itlog [Itlog]), especially if the egg yolk is runny or wet, is to plop over the egg on top of the rice then slice the whole egg from there and let the sinangag absorb the yolk. if you have time, do checkout the lechon kawali, ToSilog (tocino - a cured pork meat on the sweet side. almost like bacon they say) and LongSilog (longganiza - Filipino sausage. there are lots of variety of longganiza. it can be on the sweet side, garlicky side or a combination) Mabuhay and enjoy the food!
I love how you appreciated that underrated restaurant for their Filipino hospitality and service. 😊
Thank you for liking Filipino food ms. Paola! Your companion is great too!🙏🏻👍🏼🤗🤤💪🏼 Not only are you so pretty but also very open-minded to different things in life! 😍🌹 I adore you!!🥰🥹 Love from the Philippines!! ❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭
Ok I’m new to this channel, and got recommended your video. I’m now a new subscriber, and as a Asian Filipino thank you for trying our food. I kinda feel bad for your friend/family member, I feel bad she is refusing to eat some of the food; also by any chance she has a food allergy maybe you can find or make a version for her. Oh nice I just hear her saying the pata is good. Thank you for trying our authentic Filipino food, although I didn’t see adobo. Oh I see a jolliebee video!!! I must watch!!! Also that cabbage is ok to eat it that way, although you can cut it up with a spoon into the soup. Hope for more Asian food trying or eating in the future, especially if it’s Filipino food. We have a lot that we eat.

Crispy Pata is really good without anything. It takes about 8 hours to cook and the 30 mins you said is just for the frying time. It is also called in the Philippines “Putok Batok” which means, you can get high blood pressure when you eat a lot of it

Filipino cuisine is influenced by Spanish, Chinese, Malaysian, and other cultures as well. The Spanish were in the Philippines for over 300 years that’s why we have a lot of Spanish words in the Philippine’s many languages. Tagalog is the national language.

My problem with Filipino food is that I said that I will save something for later but I ended up devouring it all. It doesn’t matter what food you start to eat first, the flavor just don’t clash. You can’t stop. Also, there are several ways to eat and enjoy the food like by itself, with a sauce, with a soup, with veggies and that lumpia/egg/garlic rice just bridge it altogether. I totally enjoyed watching you guys savor the food.
you're missing out. 1. put some calamansi and a few drops of soy sauce on your sisig. if you eat it on a hot plate/ that cast iron pan thing they usually serve it on to keep it sizzling, you're supposed to mix the raw egg in it instead of eating it fried. it makes the sisiz creamier altho the original sisig doesnt really have egg in it. 2. a few drops of fish sauce on the bulalo soup, you would think you dont need more seasoning but trust me, i love eating 3. ask for some achara or pickled papaya for your tapsilog. also best with garlic rice / garlic flakes
BIG LIKE👍👍👍🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

You go girl! Filipinos eat with their hands. Sure, spoons and forks are used as utensils instead of knives and forks. We finally evolved😆. But in a lot of instances where families are gathered for a celebration done at home. Eating with your hands are welcome (washed and cleaned). And there is no wrong way of eating the way you are eating them. You're in a confined space. Enjoy the food! That's the point for Filipino foods. Enjoy and stay safe!
I love the way you eat the Filipino foods...

First time coming across your channel. I have a weird thing about watching people eating filipino food for the first time lol. One thing that I appreciate about you is that you actually try to pronounce the names of the food items correctly and you did well might I add. Other channels that I've seen they just butcher the names. Haha anyway you now have a new subscriber. I'm probably gonna watch a few more of your vids RN! Lol BTW how did you decide what to order? You ordered a lot of solid dishes, but I was surprised you ordered bulalo that's why. I would say it's not a common dish that people would order. Imo Especially it being your first time trying filipino food. Don't get me wrong I love me some bulalo. Lol Next time you decide to go to a filipino restaurant try their adobo. Which happens to be the national dish of the Philippines. Also try sinigang, one of my personal Faves. Pancit palabok and kare kare for dessert halo halo or turon. Just a few suggestions...
I just would like to share that we Filipinos usually eat those dishes or "ulam" and paired it with rice. Thanks for trying our dishes. Enjoy!
