I mean, a lot of it seemed to come down to not understanding older mechanics and mistaking them for newer ones, as well as not knowing the stats for some underwhelming Pokémon, so can’t really blame him.

What I hate about Emerald Kaizo is that yes the trainers are hard, but the rom hack is also extremely inconvenient and annoying. Say if Emerald Kaizo was just difficult trainers and pokemon changes I'd try it but it's just a pain to play

Emerald Kaizo runners increase the level cap of the first two gym leaders by one to make the fights not super reliant on getting godlike rng
