I compared my Pietro to an aligned ek43 with standard burrs, and it had better flavor separation and clarity. Without the metallic thing you described so well.

Does shaking do anything for pour over? I tried with one coffee and it seemed like it over-extracted easy and was bitter, but might have just been that coffee, didn't want to try it again lol.

If you don't want to waste $65 purchasing the baseplate to grind more stably, then buy some duct tape (any kind). The Pietro can just barely fit into the duct tape roll (if you want an even more snug fit, then tape the inner roll to make it narrower). With the Pietro snuggly secure in the duct tape roll, cut just enough of the tape so that the handle can turn without hitting anything.

Can the Brew Burrs fit any other grinders than the Pietro or the new Fiorenzato Pro Brew grinder?

They are 54mm, but they are also blind burs, not sure there is a universal mouting for blind burs

Did you get the burrs that Lance designed for the Pietro? I am curious what y’all think of his burrs

I was really amazed by it. For poorover doing fishing style grinding is totally fine. For espresso it might take a bit of time but doable.
