My first pen turned using my Next Wave CNC 4th Axis

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I used the mini 4th axis on my Shark HD520 to make my first pen.
I didn't realize that I used the wrong size copper tubes for the kit - so the pen didn't close all the way! You will see that in my video. It took me going to Woodcraft in Nashville and showing it to the amazing people there my pen and they helped me to figure out what I did wrong! I used replacement tubes instead of the ones that came with the kit since I didn't want to mess the kit up and the tubes weren't the right ones! Oh well, live and learn!

Glad to see another video. Keep up the good work. I have been making pens for 10 or more years. I'm still working through the 4th axis, but I see great potential. Have you tried to fill the recesses with resin ? Shane Peters would be proud if you did.

Yes, since I have made more pens, I have filled in carved out areas with resin. Check out my Instagram if you haven’t already to see more pens. :)
