That dress goes really well with your hair colour. And I'm glad you find Rochester quiet and peaceful at night. When I lived in Gillingham (the Kent version, not the Suffolk or Dorset one) the foxes at night used to sound like they were torturing each other.

Is the accent different in Kent, are there any other slang words you already learned? What is the commute like, do you get a seat all the time, is it possible do use the travel time for uni stuff or are you too exhausted and happy to have a break?Thank you for this update! Wish you fun (and patience) with the work at the house!

A set of ladders , in my experience is a good investment for a home owner.. I was at first paying people, to clear the leaves out of the gutters ..... £60 a time . Now I do it myself (what a hero ! ) ...... The money saved has already paid for the ladders. Now I have a free set of ladders and save at least £60 a year. You can't sniff at that.

Try keeping your "to do" lists short. You'll always feel accomplished. Long ones during my rebuild always made me feel like there was no end in sight. And give Tate an extra scratch under the chin and an encouraging word from his biggest fan in Houston, Texas...

Hi Jen, As regards shop assistants and strangers engaging in London or elsewhere I find it's more of an an age thing. I find that people of sixty plus will often start chatting to you wherever you are, but the young never do, their heads are always either buried in a phone, or they just seem too shy to engage. Maybe young people are wary of strangers and old people are just lonely.

Hi, Jen, interesting video. It is often said that moving house is one of the most stressful things anyone does in their life so I'm glad you're positive and settling in and glad Tate is as well, it must have been very confusing for him. I think it takes a few months to get used to living in a new area. How do you find commuting and is it expensive? Looking forward to your next video soon.

I have a new neighbour just moved in, from London, but moved much further out than you, two things he has noticed most, the price of Beer, a pint costs £2.70, in a local social club, not the £7 he was paying, and how far it is to the nearest hospital, 25 miles, a lot further if specialist care is required.

Living in one of the Medway Towns, they are all served by any of the Major Supermarkets online shopping and delivery service, which makes life easy if you are a distance from one. Could you have done your Uni course with the OU, would have made life easier as you are also working. Just as well Tate is not a cat as he would have made his way back to your old place, He will settle in and become accustomed to other dogs, let him socialise with them under control.

@@JenDre Ah, I see. Yes, it is convenient. Similar case is in my home town, Zagreb, Croatia, which is much smaller. Although, since I know the surroundings of Zagreb, it would be probably better to use administrative borders, since transport links are organized within administrative borders (in the case of Zagreb this can go outside of the ring). So, this would be, like the Grater London administrative borders. It is mostly inside of the ring, but in North Ockendon it even reaches outside of it, :) . kzread.info/dash/bejne/h3Wp1cSDnbWoYMY.html

I think London should be stripped of Capital Status as it no longer reflects the rest of the nation. It seems that people in their 30's leave because they finally see what the unbalance is and want a safe place to think about a family. The film/movie "Withnail and I" is a great film about the pressure of the circus. Been there and I have done that.
