Actually, old Lambos and BMWs are good. Gallardos, Murcielagos, and old BMWs like M3 E46 or M5/M6 V10 are good cars.

@@w4397 None of the Vanos engine are reliable, regardless which displacement they are. Some say that Vanos is Thanos' more expensive German cousin.

Sam, having owned one of these, I will tell you that car, even today is AWESOME. It turns like it is on rails. Lots of CF and given that it was a limited model, continues to hold its values in the US. Thumbs up from me.

This is also one of my favourite modern classics, I like the timeless pinsharp styling as opposed to the Huracans jelly mould type of styling . These will become highly collectable in years to come , produced in very limited numbers and they weren't churned like the huracan performantes were , I would " buy the dip " before they rise , they will become the lamborghini equivalent of the Porsche 2.7 RS. Nice provenance on that particular one too, bonus. ! 👍👍👏👏

Had the pleasure of driving one of these for a week x 2 times back in 2012 as part of being a member of a Super car Club that was based on pay a yearly fee and you had 20 plus supercars to use whenever. What a fabulous experience this machine it is. I actually owned a R8 V8 at the same time and it left it in the shade for the experience. Remember closing the drivers door and it always sounded cheap and horrible with a rattle and clank from the carbon fiber door card(obviously the cost is the opposite) and the seats were hard and oh dear the egear was emotional and rough,but the trick was to full fuel lift just before the change in a nano second and then plant it again. I would own one in a heartbeat if my wife would let me as it ticks all the human senses boxes and emotions in multiples times 10. Never driven a car that made you a instant rock star so much back in 2012.It was a absolute magnet. Drive a Porsche now and a bit older and really happy with my lot.

I love how Sam buys cars he actually wants rather than for the views, but this is going to help your channel loads man.

I bought an orange one 6 months ago , had an exhaust made , converted it to rwd and put some trofeo R ,s on it with a custom tune . It’s now magical as is the sound ….oh the sound and the flames

I have an LP560-4 Spyder in Giallo Midas. Fantastic car with that screaming V10 and roof down :) Also use the supercar rooms for my service and maintenance, great bunch of guys and highly recommended.

This would be massive not just for your channel but your level of content is unbelievable. It would be amazing to see Lamborghini content but with the film quality of yours. Dont get me wrong Paul makes good Lamborghini content but none on KZread has the high quality of filming than you do so to see Lamborghini content even better the Mk1 Gallardo Superleggera would be incredible. Would love to see you take it to the Selvio Pass that would be the best video content not just on KZread but ever. I would love to see you in this car. Incredible video as always 👍

The Supercar Rooms is literally a stones throw away from me! They do open days/car meets from time to time where they get some of the cars out. You should totally come to the next one, if/when they start doing them again! You should also totally get the Superleggera!

Wow, Eric Clapton is a pretty cool name to have associated with the car, might even help with it's future value vs other examples. I'd love to see you drive more of the "modern classic" Gallardos though before you decide to take the plunge or not, it's such an interesting era of Lambo. Loving the new logo on your socials btw.

Good for you, Sam, for trying something new. I drove a Superleggera along with a 458 Italia at a Las Vegas exotics track experience a few years ago. I came away raving about the 458, and feeling *blah* about the Lambo. Whereas the 458 felt razor-sharp and immediately responsive, like an extension of your mind/body, the Lamborghini felt dull and slow to respond to inputs, like driving a truck. Maybe that particular example was just in rough shape?

Would love to see you channel get a mid 90s Ferrari. 355 or 348. Classic track car for cruising montages. 🤙🏼 Great job as always Sam! Crazy to see you excited about a Lambo! Ha

Find one with the rare on-track option = rear cage and harness, it suits the SL perfect. Also full CF interior option is great.

That sound is just silky smooth, I don’t know that make any sense but I really do love the way it sounds, I think Gallardo aged very well, still look modern, so it looks great, sounds amazing I think you should get one straight away.

Would be a dope purchase for sure, the Gallardo has always felt like such a defining moment in Lambo history. Like the bridge between the new and the classics.

Didn`t like these when they came out, but now I love the look of them!!

I shot a house here in Australia and they had a Superlegerra in the colour of this one but with black wheels. Plus, their driveway lifted up and there was a JetSki underneath, so there’s that.

The Lamborghini Superleggerra was my introduction to performance cars when I was 12 years old. My mom traded some Disneyland tickets for a charity in exchange for a Lamborghini ride to my school dance. The owner took the VERY long route to my school which I could walk to in a just a few mins and made sure it was the most memorable Lamborghini Demo ride ever. Showed no restraint to the throttle and made sure to show off the braking performance. I’ve been a gear head ever since. The only difference was the yellow stitching on the seats. Other than that this spec looks completely identical.

That Top Gear episode is one of my all time favourite episodes of any show on TV, and made in instant fan of the mk1 Gallardo Superleggera! I'd have one over a Huracan Performante any day.

At 16:50 you're downshifting, does the car blip for you? Cos I would have thought you needed a clutch or is that just what the E-gear box does? Lovely video, intoxicating exhaust note!!
