Yep that's pretty much an LA hot dog the bacon wrapped around the hot dog is an absolute must it adds to the crispiness and the caramelized onions and peppers

Wish I didn’t watch this at 2am 😂 Also Lisa just wanted to say that I love that you seem to be able to connect with and befriend all the people that you meet and the conversation you had with the guy making the hotdog was nice! I wish I could talk to strangers that comfortably. Also the line about not wanting to make eye contact with anyone while eating was hilarious haha

as someone who grew up in LA getting one of these after the bar or after a concert or sporting event is always a must, never skip it

That’s LA for ya. That’s one of the things that I feel like I love the most about living in LA. Not only is the food great, but everything else is too. I love the art that’s all over downtown. Can y’all relate? I recommend going to see some murals they’re very beautiful 😁

Im a valley kid so all of LA just..smells lmao. Things either smell nice here, or just very strongly of wet pavement (i swear we have so many puddles everywhere????? like even in 116 degrees f no clouds ever where how). but yeah people here are very artistic and unique personality-wise, to the point that only oregon and washington people feel natural to me, everyone else is so boring lmfao. i feel like the valley in underrated, its urban but feels like..better than la. you still have a lot of suburban areas and even the urban areas dont activate my trigger-happy sensory overload. la in general has some LEGENDARY restaurants though like mein gott

I can totally relate! Hotdogs isn't really a popular food item here too, so I would sometimes just make it myself. Doesn't even matter if I have a hotdog bun, most of the time I just put a sausage in a slice of bread and fold it to look like a legit hotdog hahaha

If you are ever in the Bay Area specifically Oakland area, you should try Kaspers hot dogs, its been our local hot dog chain here in the east bay for like 100 years now. Interesting history with the owners too.

We have a bunch of hotdog carts seeking this at night! They’re the best!

Looks pretty good, but I am adamantly against putting ketchup on a hot dog. If you are still in the LA area, recommend you try Pink's hot dogs. Bit of a line, but that's a good thing as they have an extensive menu. If interested, can also suggest middle eastern, chicken, pho, Mexican, Thai, Italian and burger places in the greater LA area as I am LA born and raised.

If you want to try some over the top hotdogs I'd recommend Vicious Dogs, and Dirt Dog. For the true hotdogs fanatics.

Yup, that's a straight up LA hotdog. Or as we call them in LA "dirty dogs" because and I assure you, well at least for me, i never have only one. I have to have at least two of them packed to gills with onions, bell peppers Mayo and ketchup. Hope you enjoy LA.
