I got this notification 10 minutes ago, because I was on FaceTime with my mom. For 10 minutes, I was trying to hang up politely. Eventually, I just decided on “Oops! My phone died.”

This is possibly the *sweetest* first kiss story I've ever heard. The fact that it was such a safe, sweet, kind experience for both of you is so awesome! And I love that you're still such good friends all these years later. There probably aren't many people that can say that about their first kiss.

I remember my first kiss, I was 12. The next day the boy I kissed brought a huge bouquet of flowers round to my house! I remember being really embarrassed! My mum thought it was really cute and arranged them in a vase! My dad wasn’t quite so amused though! The poor guys friends called him “flower power” for months afterwards! Bless him. ❤️👍💕

I really love this story and I love more that you guys are still friends. It was like your friend was saying you both felt safe and could be vulnerable with each other and have no worries or fear and although it wasn’t the perfect kiss for you both I think what you both learned that day about being so open and vulnerable and not scared to be open and share your feelings that was far more valuable for you both later in life. I definitely think you both over thought it and over planned it lol. It might of been a teeny weeny bit better if it had happened organically rather than the military planning and organising. I’m 43 and I’m still friends with the first boy I ever kissed when I was 12 (almost 13) we went through the whole of school with each other from nursery to senior school (UK) like we’re still friends and I have him on my fb and other social media things but we’re not the best of friends. We just occasionally comment on each other’s posts or like each other’s pictures of our families. It’s all good. Thank you for a lovely story 😊

Have you ever seen the movie of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower"? In that, while Emma Watson was actually dating someone else, she told Logan Lerman that she wanted his first kiss to be from someone who loved him, even though they were pretty much just friends at that point. Unfortunately, it also brought up a memory for him that wasn't good. As for me, my first kiss was very weird. My mother had died shortly after I left home to start college, so I had to go home for her funeral. A friend who I had tried to become boyfriend/girlfriend with a few years earlier (even though I knew I was gay, hoping to talk myself out of it) came to the funeral, then to our house where we were having the reception. She invited me to sit in her car for awhile - and that was where it happened. My response was "Yep, definitely gay". And that was it. Never saw her again after that, mostly because I was back on the other end of the state for college and never really lived in my hometown again.

You are so funny and so much fun to watch and hear about your wacky life.

I married my first kiss. We were together over 20 years and had 4 kids together. We are since divorced and each remarried, but are very amicable. You just never know with first kisses.

This is so cute. I think all first kisses must be anti-climatic. I did the same thing. Planned it out with my first boyfriend and when it happened no bells rang, no festivity, it was like hmmm, ok that happened and we went on with life. Many lovely amazing kisses afterwards of course.
