I am from Guangzhou and welcome everyone to visit Guangzhou, where many people from different countries live here.I finished watching the video and saw a friend in the video.

I spent 3 years in china, really the best time of my life.

Great video as always. And yes, I would say more than half the people in Guangzhou have roots in other parts of China so the food choices are quite cosmopolitan.

The tree is revered by the people of Dharmic religions alike, namely, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism.

Those are Lingzhi/Ganoderma mushrooms, they are packed with antioxidants and are thought to help the immune system. They're the subject of a bunch of studies that show medical promise

Guangzhou was the capital of the Nanyue Kingdom 南越古國founded by Qin Dynasty 秦朝 general Zhao Tuo 趙佗 when he was sent by Qin Shihuang 秦始皇 to conquer the Baiyue (Hundred Yue) 百越 in the southern China. Yue (Viet in Vietnamese) means “southern region of Yangtze River” 越就是長江以南的地方。Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces used to be called Wu Yue 吳越。Fujian province used to be called Min Yue 閩越（where Southern Min dialect originated 閩南話）。Guangdong and Guangxi provinces and northern Vietnam used to be called Nan Yue (Nam Viet in Vietnamese) 南越。General Zhao Tuo (Trieu Da in Vietnamese) founded not just the Nanyue Kingdom, but also the Zhao Dynasty 趙朝代 (Trieu Dynasty in Vietnamese) of Vietnam marking the beginning of the one thousand year rule of Vietnam by China until the Tang Dynasty 唐朝. The name Vietnam comes from reversing the two Chinese characters of the Nan Yue Kingdom (Nam Viet Kingdom) founded by Zhao Tuo to Viet Nam (Yue Nan in Mandarin). If you want some more historical sites, check out Whampoa Military Academy 黃埔軍校舊址 founded by Dr. Sun Yat Sen, the founder of modern China, and Huanghuagang Mausoleum of the 72 Martyrs 黃花崗七十二烈士墓。 Zhixin High School 執信中學 (a famous exam school in China) and Dr. Sun Yat Sen University 中山大學 were also founder by Dr. Sun Yat Sen. Rice noodles fen (pho in Vietnamese) was also invented at the same time General Zhao Tuo conquered the Baiyue people. The soldiers missed noodles from northern China, so they used rice plentiful in the wet south to create rice noodles. People mistakenly think rice noodles is “Vietnamese pho”. It’s actually Chinese. Another famous Cantonese dish 乾炒牛河 (gan chao niu he) dried fried beef and wide rice noodles, the “he”河 refers to “hefen “ 河粉， a type of rice noodles originated from the Shahe District 沙河 of Guangzhou. You have to go to the Guangdong Museum. Guangzhou is a commerce city indeed, but it’s the history that makes this city so great. The museum is for free and definitely worth a long day visit, just remember to make an online appointment on its website the day before.

Some of the most modern bldgs , and old city areas , food is especially good n plenty options.Safety , transport , services world class. Affordable to live. Ppl r very friendly. Lots of shopping. Great city.

Cantonese music should give credit to Hongkong.

Changfun in Guangzhou is very rough. Good taste and all but there's no class in it. It lacks a delicate touch that can be found in those in Hong Kong or overseas Chinese communities
