Hopefully we will have some people make non hardcore servers with reduced health like bf4. I enjoy everything about normal mode accept ttk. But luckily you can customize pretty much anything on your server. So thats cool.

I’m sorry, but the grappling gun is pretty powerful. The fact you can get on roofs without using ladders and leaving yourself vulnerable as you’re climbing to get an advantage on the opposing team is busted. The cool down on it looks pretty fast in my opinion. No other specialist matters, this is it guys. Get ready for some Batman lobbies

Just some quick thoughts, hope the ui gets changed a bit, imo there's too much going on and its too bright. Also jets need to go a certain speed to maintain a tight turn radius. Too fast or too slow and turning will be ass

You strafing the ground should be maybe half a second window of opportunity not a nose dive from space as you unload all your ammo and then bounce 180 degress back into space on a dime. By adding nuance to flight you increase the skill ceiling and make that part of the game interesting. Flight combat in Battlefield is just uninteresting, boring garbage... BFV had probably best air combat out of all Battlefields but it still lacked meaningful variety in flight models so maneuvering was very basic and if you've slowed down anywhere under maximum speed you were literally floating in air, to the point where it would make a goddamn glider stall and fall off the sky...

i just hope the game stays simple. i’m sick of “meta loadouts” from COD.

Nah I'm good, already have basically 4000 hours on bf4, it's definitely time to move on from all of the exploits, clowns still trying to use meta weapons 8 years later, ucav and mortar spam on certain maps( which is pretty funny tho) etc. Even though I still got 60+ kills as infantry and in vehicles in this beta, it's just refreshing to see something different.

@@OperatorDrewski Bf 2142 did a great job, and the older bfs in general. A lot of it had to do with map layout. Bf2142 Titan Mode was straight up the awesome factor of the objective made it so attractive.

i really dislike the change attatchemnts on the fly mechanic. It really defeats the purpose of building your kit before spawning. I would like it more if it was a sort of backpack perk. If there was a more immersive delay between changing equipment too then i would be more warm to the idea.

I think this BF is very similiar to Cod modern warfare .. the sliding, hero shooter dynamics and that on the fly gun modding is clearly copied from crysis. Even how the gun is held is the same. This is 100% asset recycling and i don't like it. There is not one single thing thats innovative in this game.

Squad and Post Scriptum are even better but I totally agree.

Maybe this is just me being over the whole "arcade shooter" thing, but, This just feels like Battlefield with more gimmicks and updated graphics/different pew pew sounds lol, i was kind of expecting a little more realistic and maybe that's why i feel let down. I have 4 gripes thus far. 1. Grappling hook needs a cooldown/arming animation, we don't need servers of batmans flying around/roof campers. 2. Changing your attachments on the go needs to be specific to a certain operator, pulling things out of your ass is just weird. 3. Time to kill , unless you are HEAVILY armored, AND being shot IN THE PLATES, you should be dying faster, simple as that. 4. Vehicles need to refuel/rearm in the base, I am tired of infinite i never have to worry about anything vehicles mechanics.... Is it really too much to ask for a modern realistic shooter? I feel like we always have to pick between small indie companies net coding on toasters located in Egypt making great games but suffering from lag and FPS/optimization or we have to pick a polished triple A title that is greatly optimized and doesn't lag but the game itself suffers from being too damn arcadey.

I agree but BF has always had a problem with one group of weapons being stronger than the rest. In BF3 & 4 it was assault rifles, so I guess this might be their way of trying to give player more freedom and options to be competitive outside of using meta weapons. I imagine it will be like BF4, there will always be meta loadouts, but skilled players will get by with anything they can learn to be decent with.

I agree. If you brought a carbine and you encounter a sniper, you shouldn't be able to switch out attachments for an advantage on the fly. It's definitely BS.

Jets in battlefield has always been a bit meh to me, the maps just aren't big enough to make them handle realisticaly. 😅

I can almost guarantee this won't happen , every server will just be a team death match or conquest...I just can't see people renting a server and trying to come up with ideas like this, incase people find it boring then they've just wasted their money...majority of people will just put up conquest battles bc they'll want a consistent server...but I hope that I'm wrong

I have one big doubt and will get clear when I play myself, but it doesn't seem to have the battlefield feeling and rather the cod feeling which is a big red X on my book. Guns seem to be made of paper and shoot nerf munition, doesn't seem to feel powerful when you grab a lmg or shotgun

Ww3 showed its Alpha game play whoch honestly looks better than this right now. And its literally an Alpha. This is basically a finished product. It’s a terrible game as it stands right now. Finished product or not. The gameplay is just awful and honestly boring. I played for 3 hours last night, and I was just sad. All I hoped for was a game like bf3/4, I think most of us did. This is not that, not by a long shot. Maybe it will turn around, if it does cool I’ll play it. But as it stands, I won’t buy this Bf5 COD mashup piece of shit.

I'm already having an absolute blast with the demo, some of the bugs are hilarious to me, whacky ass ragdoll physics, vehicles fucking ascending into the heavens, jets bouncing around like they're in a bouncy castle, helicopters spinning at fucking mach speed when destroyed XD And when the tornado first appeared for me, pretty much EVERYONE just stopped everything and hoped into it, it was absolutely amazing XD

I love the idea of having a full on Milsim with the battlefield portal feature

I dont know why i got so giddy hearing matimi0 and levelcap in the last clip, maybe its nostalgia setting in

I've played 2 hours and now I just want to play BF4. I'll be really surprised if this actually releases in November. It feels like a test build you'd play a year before release. I'm not the kind of person who just shits on every modern release, but I'm not feeling it chief. Everything feels so janky.

Totally agree man. Twitchy movement, sound kept cutting out during heavy firefights and continued after respawn. I'd lay fire onto someone, hit 10 rounds, they'd suddenly be 40 yards from last location and I'm dead. Very disappointed to say the least.

BF4 was good, but im with you. BF3 had amazing maps, the factions were both cool and easy to tell apart, and the whole "beat up world war three" aesthetic on the weapons was fucking rad.

I can already see all the tank trickshots using the tornado. Like how they used to launch a tank with c4 in previous games 👀

@@whitegoodman7465 Playing the objective makes for an objectively worse experience. Overcoming someone by proving cover fire, fire support, flanking, sniping is hard to pull off and make worthwhile. The only way to fix things is to make guns feel wild and hard to control, with realistic sights that are obtrusive and are a pain to shoot at range. I for one prefer some mid-range engagement to a full hour of maneuvering. It doesn't float my boat, I am not in love with MilSim, just because such thing exists.

Yep - they will never capture what they had in BFBC2. They want to make it pretty and overly complicated which leads to crap gameplay.

No HUD: never possible in this game, since all the specialists are on all teams. No way to differ between enemy and friend. Might be fixed with some uniform kinda style on each team, but since there will be skins for each specialist, thatsa highly unlikely. So rip no-HUD

Weird, I was hyped for a good battle field game but with a fresh set of gear and maps, new visuals etc. Massively disappointed in what we got, refunded ultimate edition today. Nothing like battle field at all, game play is just sub par. I feel like the people saying its a good game are young kids or console players. Ive yet to see a not biased PC long time BF player say that 2042 is a good game.

sound design is sounding sick always appreciate that. gunplay looking solid. never been a bf fan since I've felt its just larger cod with combined arms (air,ground,sea) and I always enjoy the realistic aspects of games and this doesn't look any more real than the past games looks a lot more fun but not a lot more memorable. Mostly skeptic I'm sure if the devs are on track game will be plenty of fun. hope its got performance similar to nw as well or else the graphics will be a burden more than a boon for low to mid end pcs although nowadays consoles hold up to at least 40-60 fps so at least no prob for them. also the attachment thing does seem gimmicky ntm the ui looks like a kids show its so bright. great stuff drewski glhf

I’m honestly loving the beta so far, however I do feel the changing of the attachments on the fly is a bit overpowered. Maybe different types of ammo but definitely not the whole gun

Appreciate the vid, now I know I can skip this. Grapples, turrets, non-stop sprint jump ammo spam... Yeah. BF has been dead since BF2/3. BF is trying to be COD/APEX and it shows. Lame. Saved me $60 + infinite microtransactions. The complete and utter lack of teamplay with squads and such is a massive letdown. :(

Haven't seen the clip but so long as it was not a tank it is not entirely unrealistic for a .338 AP to be able to pierce certain parts of IFV/APC armor so long as its not hitting the frontal arc

You should try medic, that's my faveroute class. TIP: shoot your needles in close proximity too insta heal

I sure do love how reloading takes longer than switching parts of a weapon. No but srsly, it's a huge oversight even at this stage.

Overall visibility seems pretty poor, with all the dark corners, and weather effects... Granted YT darkens footage, but we've seen how sometimes people don't seem to spot you immediately, I hope it doesn't affect gameplay too much :S

I'm level 20 in the beta and have hardly experienced problems with it. The entire colour scheme of the game is less gritty which is a massive upgrade from bf5 because the visibility in that game was shit

Ill definitely play 2042, but my heart is with BF4. Its just so, so good.

Yea that tornado showed me I was exactly right, this game is going to be michael bay simulator. Could be good or bad depending on personal preference. I was really hoping for something more traditional.

yeah ive seen some gameplay with the grapplehook and im pretty dissapointed. together with the new sprint and the nonstop sliding, it literally looks like any of the last call of dutys. i hope portal allows to dissable sliding and slow down sprinting.

They made the running speed higher because the map size change, you slow it down and when every else has the vehicles maxed have fun running across the entire map that slowly just to get shot and have to do it all over again

When the osprey took off at like 6:10, was soo cinematic

the main things i like are how its easier to tell where and how everything is(qof), especially regarding headshots and achievements and i rlly like the hud and third person mechanics. That was the main thing i was troubled w/ in BF4 rlly wanna see the menu and its ease of use.

Love the content, EA should invite players like drewski who actually know how to play.

True, but at least this way they don’t have to use your teams only attack helo as their personal taxi service. Plus, one of the biggest issues with roof camping was that there wasn’t a good way to kill them without air support. Many of the roofs had no ladders or just 1 or 2 that could be easily camped. This way they can be attacked from any angle by infantry.

My friend on PS4 got to get it early because he preordered the deluxe edition. But I can't wait to see how it is on PS4 when the beta shows up.

A tornado doesn't do any damage to the ground. To grass, yes, but that's pretty much it.

There's a large, aesthetical gap between a tornado pulling up asphalt/concrete surfaces and soldiers pulling attachments outta their rectum. If anything, they'd utilize earthquakes to leave trenches in the maps, ya know?

This looks really cool! Although the gameplay looks kinda like a mix between warzone and titanfall. Looking forward to see how this goes at launch.

Titanfall has SIGNIFICANTLY better gunplay, damage models and hit registration... where did you get Titanfall from, that very shitty grappling hook? Honestly they should've introduced hook line you can deploy as in BF2 Special Forces expansion instead of this grappling hook nonsense. You could deploy a line that your team could use to get into previously inaccessible places. Good times.

Are you kidding? 3 and for were similar. 1 and 5 didn’t feel like battlefield at all.

Things I think they should change for the release: -Remove specialists and return to the 4 or 5 class system -Increase party sizes to 5, or make a separate gamemode where squads are bigger -Grappling Hook should be a single time use, but can be resupplied by ammo boxes OR it should be change to work more like Hardline's grappling hook and ziplines -UI. Personally I don't have too many gripes with it, but I would like to see a complete scoreboard for example, and the way the XP shows up on screen is horrible. -Obvious bug fixes like missing sound effects, flickering, rubber banding, the parachute being stuck to you and making you visible to everyone with eyes -Probably more stuff but I'm too lazy to keep writing

Battlefield will always have a place in my heart as one of my favorite games, but I don’t think it’s ever gonna be more than that, I’m pretty much the only one of my friends that would still play it so it’s just not worth it. That being said, this game looks really fucking good, graphics are nice, gunplay looks good, anyone who plays BF games avidly will definitely enjoy it, a lot more than 1 or 5 for sure.

I wish they've introduced some missing features from old Battlefields... how can anyone think lack of means of communication and coordination in team based game with team size 32-64 per side is a good idea? How can anyone think it creates fun matches? Recent Battlefields were either a bunch of pussies running around with not a sliver of thought in their minds (very much CoD experience) or 1 vehicle team dominating entire lobby - even if you needed only 4 direct hits with a rocket to get rid of said vehicle, you just couldn't coordinate... I want vehicle weak spots back too... if I manage to sneak behind enemy lines and have clean shot at the back of the tank, I expect it to crack like a piniata instead of seeing +33dmg pop up as he turns around and blasts you into the orbit...

I can tell you after playing the beta that you are wrong. This game plays like a shitty cheap COD knock off. It’s utter trash and I’m abandoning the franchise. I started playing when 1942 came out…

People somehow forgot about Portal, it can fix almost all of your problems because of how customizable it is (you can change movement, gun play, vehicles, soldier's outfit, class system, plus system etc.)

that has to be seen, and how does it work? you create one time a lobby and when you left, the lobby is closed? so you have to search everytime IF someone has created a lobby that you like...why not just give us back the god damen comunity servers with there own rules???

I don’t like how there’s a delay when you shoot your second lock on missile, when using air vehicles.

The grappling hook threw me off, ngl. BUT - 2:10 - Bad guys, driving toyota's? is a tough of familiar realism. It made me smile 😌

the fact that small arms do damage to armored vehicles is very upsetting. in 128 man servers, dont expect to run your vehicle longer than mere seconds.

Only certain guns have access to AP ammo, and even then it’s really only useful to scare off helicopters and such

That tornado is horrifying. Idk if it's because I've had so many close calls with my life with extremes and spontaneous weather where I live (mostly tornados) Where I spend weeks picking through the rubble of my city looking for lost house pets and spend weeks clearing 200 year old Oaks that were tossed around like toothpicks. This game has earned a place on my horror list, simply with this weather implementation

The way you can change attachments like that reminds me of the crysis games. You can do the same things in those too ha.
