@@reptileFRAGSnow that a rewatch it yeah I’m not sure about that call. Those tyres were moved, very marginal if JD was off line there, still got into the zone as he should following the tyres. OMT was merited there IMO.

@@tech.2298 So THAT was the reason? I was like holy fuck this guy looks like a whole different drifter! Happy for him, shows that work pays off. For James it worked out as well, he turned a lot of laps on the sim and is like 95% strength on a brand new car for him.

@@XJR15ftw sim drifting can be a absolute weapon. If you have drifted in real life, and can find a car pack that feels like your irl car, the practice can help a crazy amount, these tracks are damn near 1:1 ratio. You can practice in the off-season to maintain muscle memory and fast twitch muscle. Have you ever done something where you don’t even have to think about? Your body just does it? This is why sims and seat time cars create champions. Look at James deanes rtr sim practice and his practice and qualifying run. Damn near identical.

How can you not like this guy, always positive win or lose, not playing the blaming game, down to earth, seems to always have time for his fans and 100% natural talent. Driving the car for the first time two days before the event and qualifying p2 and ending p6 is a great result

Crazy stuff, first event for RTR in a completely different chassis from what you’re used to and you absolutely killed it.

The most natural driver I’ve ever seen. Every vehicle you sit in. Unreal!!

It's the reason he is so successful. I used to watch LZ a lot and he is always always talking about this issue, or that issue. Or the tune is not enough or this camber or blah blah blah. Then James flys over, spends like an hour or two in the car and loves it. He adjusts to it. The best drivers always adjust. He could care less about settings. Sure, dialing it in helps but at the end of the day if the car runs he can drift it. Seeing LZ go out and shit the bed yet again just really shows you how far away he is from even being good, let alone great.

@@coreytrevor3910 gotta give credit where its due LZ absolutely kills it at klutch kickers but rules and shit are different but as you've said LZ shits the bed when it matters and to me it feels like he forgets the basics of drifting when hes driving in FD or he doesnt know how to handle his mustang at all. Watching this round it looked like he knew the car had insane snap oversteer on OZ2 but it seems he never corrected it, could have easily told his crew that hes got too much front grip etc but just feels like LZ doesnt know what hes doing half the time in FD

@@zilla9676 he needs to just drive, as weird as it sounds. James hops in and uses his reflexes. Its a very underrated skillset. He does ok in KK because he has a super powerful car, so he can kind of over power when he lacks in skill. FD you cant. The cars as different as they are need to be treated differently. You can't power thru a corner or in a chase because you would need a few hundred HP to make the difference up. FD also has drivers who have more basic skill. He needs to get better at reacting so much of his driving seems like hes trying to "get prepared". You can't drive at that level and have a game plan. You have to react to the other driver. You have to wait for something to happen so you can correct. He doesnt do that well.

James knows exactly how to drift this track so it’s just learning the car while Adam still is learning the car after a lot of changes and the track. I’m not making excuses for Adam but you got to realise those facts

Giving you’re flowers now while your here between the championships in FD, Drift masters, IDC and being able to adapt to so many chassis it’s not even debatable you are the best drifter in the world and will go down as a legend of the sport no to mention how humble and genuine you are 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Man Freddy had become so constant lately. The top 4 or 5 guys this year are going to have some insane battles through out the season.

I have such high hopes for this season. Having you back amongst the top drivers just makes this sport soo much better.

Seeing the RTR and an S-chassis next to each other, it's that much more impressive just how fast you got to grips with it James, this season will be hella fun to watch!

It’s really interesting watch JD sort of relearning something he’s already seemingly perfected. The RTR Mustangs are so radically different to what he’s driven his entire career.
