This is what separates Vaughn from virtually everyone else. Vision for the sport outside of being behind the wheel himself. A true leader can move pieces on the chess board where they need to be without being in the middle of the action themselves. Can’t wait to see what James and the team at RTR do this season.

Its absolutely mind boggling how you were able to hop in such a different atmosphere and pick up on your natural instincts within no time. Left hand drive, v8 engine, 1300hp, no turbo, bigger car, hundreds of extra pounds, less steering feedback, coms taking away your hearing, helmet not fitting, seat and wheel in less than ideal conditions, random test track, new team, and so much more variables that I'm sure you didn't name.

@@justincasiere9598 I know right! His first practice lap on a new chassis or new track is like another drivers' top qualifying lap. Its incredible to see him dial in the line more and more with each lap, noticeably making big changes and committing deeper every time. Absolute monster with the wheel.

Well James is actually skilled and didn't buy his way into a sport unlike Adam did. He didn't win 3 FD championships from buying his way into the sport. He won them from straight up talent.

I haven’t been this excited about an FD season in a long time! LOVE RTR, mustangs and huge fan of Deane and Chelsea. Best season ever!

This gives me a huge smile, I never thought this would happen but it has. 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪 Also, Vaughn is some man, fair play to him.

In no way can I express how happy I am to hear this news. It has really made my day, I love RTR and more importantly, James Deane, and I am looking forward to exciting times ahead.

Adam just wasted everyone's viewing time with empty promises. James Dean is a true legend. He will get the job done if Vaughn lets him install a Samsonas sequential trans on those POS Ford crap. It just proves that Adam bought his way into FD and not with talent.

The unfortunate thing is, not many people get better with less seat time. I wonder if this is a plan between Adam and Vaughn to kind of phase Adam out of RTR so Adam can concentrate on trying to go his channel. Adam's channel can help grow, in a small way, FD but FD isn't gonna grow Adam's channel at all. Adam probably gets more views for his FD content than FD does during the FD season.

@@xolciy1432 But having drivers that only do a half season doesn’t benefit RTR in the least. All it is, is potential points being taken from Chelsea while he chases a championship. The only way Chelsea would be cool with this if there’s a bigger plan in place and Adam said he doesn’t want to drive a full season. It’s pretty much all spelled out.

@@fearfulclone5486 yes it does, the amount of merch sales and eyeballs adam brings to RTR is huge. Having 2 fulltime drivers capable of winning the championship and a part time driver that has a huge social following is just an amazing business decison, its win/win all around, RTR can compete for the title and make money, Adam gets to compete in FD and level up as a driver and still do everything else he wants to do. I wouldnt be surprised if VGJ jumps in and drives the third car in the rounds that Adam wont be there so the Boss gets to have fun too

When a close friend of mine (rented part of my house from me) got an upholstery order for shirts and showed me the logo (RTR) I went pale and asked him if he was aware of WHO is involved with RTR?? He was floored when I told him about it and showed him some video's (he's not really into drifting but is an auto/moto guy like me) of what they build and who they employ there. Having watched the RTR logo's stitched into work shirts in my house was a moment I'll never forget. Being that few degrees away from companies and people with world wide recognition makes my humble roots and quiet continuation of my speed shop all the more magical. The automotive world seems huge when you're a teenager in the 90's with no internet and only the local fast guys to chat with, as I grew older and opened my own shop as the internet took off, I figured out really fast that there isn't really alot of us out there and the circles are fairly small. Best wishes for the future James, I often wondered what happened as I hadn't seen your name come up in the drifting scene as much as it used to.
