I’ve done two gradient puzzles so far and for both, the red sections were the hardest for me. The one that had a background texture/pattern/image was a lot harder than the other that was just a colour wheel - I loved doing the circle colour wheel. It was really quite easy and fun compared to the other. I’m am loving gradient puzzles now and want to do more. You did really well as that was a more difficult gradient puzzle. They definitely vary in difficulty. Another great video :)

That makes sense actually. I think the red is so deep that it makes it harder to see the shades of it 🤷‍♀️ Despite the fact that this puzzle was more difficult than I expected it to be, I actually quite enjoyed putting it together still because of all the bright colours. It was so satisfying!! 😁👌🏻

You lumped pink in with the red :D Even when you did the piece shape sort at the end, there was a lot of pink left. I think if you had separated out all the pink at the start of the puzzle, it would have been easier for you :)

It was honestly so hard to see the difference. Sometimes it looks better on camera or I might just be slightly colour blind 😂😅 But yes I agree it would have been easier if I did sorting better 🙈

I totally enjoy the vid. I want to put together a Gradient Jigsaw Puzzle.

I've just ordered this puzzle based on your video! I have got to stop doing that, it's the second time this week :D I don't think this will be too hard, but I do own a lot of different gradient puzzles, so I'm used to them :) I will just ignore the shapes and only look at colour. Sometimes, if pieces very clearly have more than one shade on them such as orange/pink for example, I'll put those pieces into a separate tray and get to them when I've done a whole colour section. I do absolutely love gradients, I find them so relaxing because I don't have to think about a picture, only colours :)

Haha that's brilliant! I'm sure you're gonna love it 😉 this was my first gradient so I didn't really have a plan for it but for you it's gonna be simple because you have your tactics. It is relaxing, I have to agree about that - brings a completely different puzzling experience than doing a picture puzzle 🤩

I just recently found your channel. I love puzzles but don't have a puzzle table anymore so I'm living through you. ❤️

I have done lots of gradients including this one and this is on the harder side, but still not too difficult. Not being a straight gradient due to the cube design makes it take a little longer but was still fun and the colors were beautiful!

I definitely wouldn't say it was a hard puzzle but for me being the first gradient I though it was gonna be way easier so I think the expectations made it seem even harder 😅😂 But it was by far the most satisfying puzzle to put together because the colours were amazing! 😍

Nice video. I can't believe you can actually do a puzzle on a bed. I just subscribed.

If I am lucky my first gradient puzzle, the rainbow krypt from Ravensburger, will be arriving tomorrow. I already have the silver krypt and I'm looking forward to challenging myself with a more colorful version. 😁

@@janetteandherpuzzles I was struggling a little with the green section but all in all it took me about 4.5-5 hours including the sorting.

I think the cube texture made it more difficult, a plain gradient should be easier. I remember however when I was working on a Cloudberries plain gradient I was struggling with bright greens the most, there was soo many false fits and rearranging, so there are pluses and minuses to both. Still your time was good!

Oh I’m glad to hear that! Because at one point I thought that I’m wired differently to find a gradient puzzle hard 😂😅 and yes false fits can be very annoying 😬

That’s beautiful! I’ve had that on my wish list for a long time but currently have more puzzles than I know what to do with. I love the bright colors. I’ve got a few gradient-ish puzzles but haven’t done one yet. I’m more into searching for little details. Great job though. And I also don’t know how you do them on a bed!

Thank you! I found it very satisfying to put together actually even though it was more difficult than a plain gradient. It's just so pretty and bright 🤩 I think my body got used to it by now haha 😂😅

This is one of the easiest puzzles that i have but the red part is still very tricky. Good job!

Try the gradient krypton puzzle. That was fun and quick. I agree with torimeku that the Clloudberries was tough in the greens/yellows. Another series to look into is the Clemens Habicht's color puzzles by The Playgroup. These are favorites of mine. Especially the gradient sphere.

Yes, there are quite a variety of gradient puzzles to consider from plain colours to those with a pattern of some sort. I have done this puzzle, I called it the stick gradient for obvious reasons! Some of the ones I have done are Cascade by Cloudberries (500), Paper Rainbow by All Jigsaw Puzzles (1000), Popsicles by Galison (500), Rainbow Bricks (Lego) (1000) and Waves by Clementoni (500). The plain colour gradients didn't really appeal to me. Good luck with your next gradient whichever one you choose to do. 🙂

I only finished one 300 pieces puzzle and I kept looking at the box as a reference. It was hard. Karen from Karen puzzles suggested an app called “I love Hue” and it helps me a lot to learn to distinguish between the colors and how the gradually change and blend into another color😊🧩I am amazed at how you puzzle sitting on your bed. I would be in intense back pain if I did that.

Well done!! 👏🏻 I use box as a reference when I get stuck as well! I have never used that app, but it's good that you're already seeing benefits from it! 🤩👌🏻 And yes, I'm used to puzzle on the floor and on the bed, as I never had enough space to puzzle elsewhere - and funnily enough, it's very comfortable for me 😅🙈

I think what made this one more difficult is the picture. Some gradients are much more difficult because of the textures they use. The solid gradient puzzles are much easier. :) Or even one like the cloudberries mountain puzzle. That one was super easy I thought.

Yeah I think I’ve learned my lesson haha 😂 I thought it would be more fun if it’s not just a plain gradient but obviously it just made it harder 😅 I’ll check that one out 😊👌🏻

Yeah, I agree with the other comments, it's the pattern that makes it tricky. A true gradient without a pattern (such as the one by Cloudberries) are some of the easiest puzzles out there :)

I know gradient puzzles are all the rage right now, but I have no desire to do one. I'm not very good with distinguishing the subtle color changes so they definitely are not easy for me.

I normally see the differences in the colour but with this specific puzzle because of the design of the picture it was really hard because the gradient wasn't consistent 😅🤷🏻‍♀️

You're not the only who said that so I think that you're quite right! That's why I'll order another completely plain gradient so I can see the difference 😊

I think the word "gradient" is overused. The puzzle you did wasn't a true gradient but rather color blocking with some shadows interspersed. The colors are thus changing tone rather drastically from one tiny section to the next. I totally believe that this was quite hard. What makes a true gradient so easy is that there is a constant and even change in hue that makes it easy to anticipate which hue should come next and thus find pieces easily.

I see what you're saying. I do think that this wasn't an easy puzzle like gradient puzzles should be, but it was still easier than picture puzzles I guess because of the sections. I'm definitely still on a lookout for a plain gradient to try out 🤩👌🏻

This isn't a true gradient and that's why you struggled
