Ok this is something i can actually relate to. My first date was an absolute abomination aswell. There was this guy in high school that i had a huge crush on, one day he noticed me and we hit it off. So we exchanged numbers and set up a first date. I asked him to come over to my house (parents house i was 15 at the time). So we decided to watch a movie (bad f.. idea btw for a date). I suggested we watch my favorite movie at that time which was goodfellas. If you dont know the movie, its a 3,5 hour mafia movie (not the type of movie you should watch on a first date). So we sat on the couch next to eachother watching a movie about people killing eachother, drugs, crimes etc for the next 3,5 f. Hours, not speaking a word to eachother and my mom sitting on the other couch. Just complete and utter silence for the entire date except for the occassional screaming from joe pesci. Absolutely brutal. When the movie was over he said he had to go home, me knowing full well the date was a complete disaster thinking i’d never see him again walked him back to the door, i think he forgave me for the awfull date because we still kissed when we said goodbye. We later got in a relationship and he ended up abusing me for the next 2,5 years. The end.

For someone who grew up outside of society this is very interesting. Im always so fascinated by the perspectives of other individuals.

When I moved to California I had a friend, me and him would talk and play videogames and have a blast all day, now we fought like friends do a couple times but we always stuck by each other. He's been a little disconnected tho as I no longer lived with him like I used to. Charlie's videos are the closest I can get to feeling the comfort of having a friend. The way he speaks to the viewer in a familiar tone always makes me happy and gets me laughing at the dumb jokes he says. Truly a content gem that makes my day.

My first ever date wasn’t bad at all and we went out on a couple more but it didn’t work. They helped me realize a lot about myself and I’m doing better I think. And I intend to do better. We split on decent terms and even though I apologized they said I didn’t need to. And that I was a good person, and that I deserved good things, and that I needed to stand up for myself, and to make sure that people treated me right. They did some not so great things but they taught me a lot

I'm in college rn and I thought I'm going through that exact lonely, mysterious, non social, pessimistic anime character phase. Glad I ain't the only one and glad to see people do move past that stage and can become a cool guy like Charlie here.
