Amazing mate! Great to follow along on the adventure, can’t believe you actually made it this is epic. I remember going to Mont Blanc ski resort on a school trip when I was a youngster, one of the best experiences ever!!!

We did have those toilets 30yrs ago.I have a beautiful memory of a friend using it one night lol.x

The toll t is for the Libert-t toll tag, if you are going again you can get them in the uk, then they just debit your account, you can also just drive straight through without stopping, @ 30 Kph.

Well Done Adam ....took a lot of courage but you have taken the first step into your car camping overseas adventure...taking us all with you ! Day 1....👏👏👏👏 It's so exciting...will help a lot of people to take their first steps especially because you are showing all the important things...like the electric toilets, toll bridge correct lane,, the petrol station and how to use. The scenery is just mesmerising. So glad you found a great overnight spot....I love it when you get back to car to put kettle on for a cuppa.. then cook your supper. Your so cool ! ❤🙏

Come a long way. So refreshing to see someone, at last, doing Europe solo. And stumbling along as you go, quite understandable with you on your own. Brave is an understatement. All the couples and hipsters doing it in pairs or groups isn't the same for me.

I don’t think your existing Power Battery Bank would start the car….u need a different type of battery that gives a high output ( for a short time) to start your car, like the one you bought. Not a slow discharge battery, like your existing power bank. So…a good buy!

So excited you're taking us to Chamonix! It's one of the few places in Europe I've stayed, except we did the drive from Calais in one go! ( not rècommending!) Those mad concrete plinths that the road sits on as you get close are quite terrifying, especially in a van like ours which wasn,t upto the climb.. sure we started going backwards at some points! Plus the driver's seat backrest was fully broken so hub had to keep himself upright, nearly ruined him!Then while we were in Chamonix, due to a slightly crowded appartment we decided to sleep in the van one night.. our empty, unlined van.. just metal! With nothing but a thin cotton sheet! ( we jus forgot how high above sea level we were and woke up stuck to the sides and close to hypothermic!😂 ) so hope these tales of my own misadventures made you laugh and you can rest assureď that while you're obvs a teeny bit accident prone like the hub and me, you are far better prepared and nowhere near as stupid! 😂 Well excited for you and for thè videos of your epic new adventures.. all the best Adam and big love ❤

Great video buddy! Glad to see you going international! I’d your looking to save some space, It is only necessary to have tire chains on the one driving axle when travelling in chain required areas. Some use two sets for even more traction but it doesn’t make the world of difference 🙂

Nice one Adam. Done that drive down to Cham several times. Argentiers is a lot quiter than Chamonix so may be better for a quiet park up. There is a fantastic bimble along the balcony to Lac Bleu on the Aiguilles Rouge side of the valley. The views of the whole Mont Blanc massif are stunning. Best wishes mate. Really enjoyed this one as I have not been in Europe since Covid chased me out of Spain in 2020, brought back great memories. I usually dodge the Autoroutes being expensive and boring. I think you are on the Nice Auto. France is beautiful. I like that projector! Take care mate.

Good luck with your European trip. Them toll booths certainly weren't made for right hand drive vehicles and take some getting used to. Have almost been thinking of heading down to Spain myself but have things to do here in the UK. Great content, keep it coming and enjoy the journey. I've got a great road for you. Chamonix over to verbier. Driving over the mountain. It's amazing vues are great free parking as well

Hey Adam , Annecy is a great place to stop . Its by a huge lake too & right under the mountains , only a couple of hours drive from Chamonix . A

Had one of them posh loos in Nuneaton bus station about 20 years ago.

If you get the chance I'd recommend Lake Annecy - not too far from Chamonix and plenty of spots to camp around the lake

great to see you heading into France, those tolls are a pain paying by cash or card in a rhd motor. go into a motorway service area and get a toll box blipper prepayment thing. saves ye climbing into passenger seat at every tollbooth. i was doing a Watford To St Gervais drivin the SnoCoach Express bus 3 times a week.

Glad you’ve made it to France! Hope you have a wicked trip! Try adding a spot of water to the microwave meal so it doesn’t dry out (if the cover was on in the microwave it would trap the steam, so try a splash of water!)

Channel tunnel is much better (45 mins) compared to hours on the ferry :) The passport check is done when you go on the ferry

Looks like you’re in for a great adventure in La Belle France. Not the greatest start on the ferry though, my wife didn’t enjoy her first ever trip across the channel back in 1988 from Dover to Boulogne. She was also feeling a bit “green”. Okay coming back though.. See you’ve got new leads for the power bank, those 12 volt dc sockets were only ever made to power up cigarette lighter heating elements, takes about 20 seconds each time? Okay to use for a dashcam adapter that takes a small current but not a constant high current for the power bank (5 to 10 amps). Point of contact too small, hence gets hot. Anyway bon chance.

Adam you can get a heat pad that sits underneath the battery? We used them in Canada on our pickups worked fine just a thought

Just a word of advice on your battery. The voltage can be at 12 V but you’re cranking amps can be down you need to get a proper test on it it’s the cold cranking amps that fail most times

Hope your well mate! Not sure if you’re there yet but as beautiful as Chamonix is as a town, the resorts aren’t the best for boarders and it’s damn expensive. I’d recommend Morzine/Avoriaz, the resort is much better linked and tons to do, plus Morzine is an awesome little village!

When i drive through Germany A2 that takes you all the way to Berlin there are tons of stops like the one with the Bp fuel station and some just with toilets. Like soon as i am in Uk i have no idea how do i get a spot for a quick break? we dont need massive services, but just stops where we can at least use a loo or make a coffee. Hopefully be lots of cool fun in Europe. id suggest lake Garda in Italy, it may not be too far from where yo might end up. I haven't been there yet but its on my list.

Get in the drivers lounge on the ferry meals are well cheaper and you can go back and fill your plate up and your drinks have to tell them you have left your ticket in truck just blag it we always done it for years 😊👍🙏
