It would be kind of funny if all those "penalty game" confessions were real confessions except the first one, which caused the trauma. Suzuki did say that other girls were interested in him during high school. I guess that would be a good reason to not play these forced-penalty games, or at least have a solid way to signal to the unsuspecting target that a game is in progress and they've been roped into it. More fun and less confusion/trauma for all.

Honestly: this is 100% Noa’s fault. When Sato asked if it were for a plenty game instead of rectifying the situation by properly explaining it she just awkwardly agrees that it was a plenty game to spare herself the slightest bit of embarrassment, which is reason enough to reject Noa on the spot, but Sato didn’t even do that, Noa ran away before Sato even gave an answer, so technically he DIDN’T reject her, rather, she refused to hear his answer Also very unprofessional work interview, asking personal questions 💀

Shyt i would reject her too if she was someone that I’ve never seen or spoken to before and she’s some sort of popular person too in high school . The whole confession doesn’t look sincere at all and as you know it she had her friends in the background watching the whole thing. Then years later it turns out she just a grown child who’s asking these personal questions on a job interview someone like shouldn’t be in the position of power. My manz here is not obligated to give her an answer so I personally would had screw it and left. Next I’m suing the whole company too(no f**** given) afterwards

Keiichi was called thickheaded (and he is), but Noa has been given a pass for being even more thickheaded. Why can't she understand that, to an introverted high school boy with no self-esteem, the concept of getting a serious confession from one of the school's most popular girls is ludicrous? His assumption that it was a penaty game was simply the only sensible explaination to him. And Noa did not do herself any favors for practically confirming that assumption out of embarrassment.

My advice: run away she is fixated on the past and cannot separate work and personal matters from a decade ago. If a man asked the same question in an interview, he'd be sued for sexual harassment.

If I'd been in that bar and Keiichi asked me what I thought, I'd say brother turn around and just tell her you're resigning. You don't put up with bull like that to be threatened with being fired for a reason that is clearly against the law. You'll submit your written resignation in the morning. Then get up, I'd pay for Keiichi's stuff and let him walk out. I'd tell Keiichi to ignore all calls and text messages from Noa and Suzuki for the rest of the night until at least 8 AM the next morning. Then go in, he hands in his notice of resignation and walks out like a soldier with shoulders straight and head straight and tall and face all disciplined. No room for the old Keiichi anymore. He's a warrior now. Let Noa know who she's messing with now and now it's war.

As Keiichi would be walking out with his personal possessions, in addition to his resignation notification announcing his no notice immediate resignation also attach to it an attorney's business card for the lawyer I would've helped him hire for legal action not just against her company for the wrongful termination and such but I would be also filing suit against Noa in her individual person for power harassment, assault for being forcibly intoxicated and likely stalking and in addition to judgment against the corporate form of her company I'd seek judgment against her personally not for money but equitable relief, the injunctive kind. An order enjoining her from continuing to exercise the office of CEO of that company, forcing her to either resign from office in 30 days or be removed by operation of court decree and forbidding the Board of Directors to keep her on in any other capacity either executive or ordinary employment. Also would issue a life-time injunction of protection prohibiting Noa or Suzuki from coming near Keiichi on the street within 1000 feet or as far away as equitably able in foot traffic on sidewalk streets but also while keeping distance not attempt to greet or otherwise engage Mr. Sato in verbal conversation. If he initiated it then it's on him. Also no attempts at contact via postal mail, email or social media or other third party methods such as through other persons acting on her behalf. If it is deemed a necessity to be in contact for say legal/judicial afffairs between them Noa will need to obtain a court order herself to authorize contact first sending notice to Keiichi of her intent to seek such order and why contact is requested by sending service upon his attorney of record. Any such contact should be mandated to occur at the courthouse with legal counsel for each also present and in the presence of either a judge or court appointed mediator or arbitrator to report to the court on the events of the meeting so other such orders as necessary can be entered between them. Other than this, a life time no contact would be in effect unless Keiichi himself requested the ban be vacated for his own reasons presented to the court with a decision on whether to drop the injunction reserved for judicial decision. Sorry to be long winded man, I was trying to be specific and thorough in explaining my line of reasoning.

I worked for years for a local sheriffs department as a detention officer. About 5 years into my career we got a new captain. Dumbass hadn't had his rank 4 months when he popped off a very sexist remark about the female officers, in front of a whole shitload of witnesses. Got him busted all the way down to sergeant and sent back to patrol. Two months later he shoots his mouth off again. Only this time he's disparaging female officers with the highest seniority captains on the force standing there. Both of them were female with over twenty years of service. Took the review board just three days to hand him his walking papers. It only took three more weeks for CLEET to rescind his license. No CLEET license, no more working as a cop. Anywhere!

But it wasn't random, it feels random to him. They studied together he even still remembers her future career dream. He made an assumption with zero basis as Noa gave absolutely no reason to not trust her. We often see in mangas with, "It Girl & Introvert," but these simple or even repeated acts of kindness the MC do from the girls prospective are eye opening to them, where as to the MC they are menial, like helping a lost cat, or helping an old lady across the street, helping a girl reach the top of chalk board and assisting with studying. These events are valued differently by the two people involved and any other onlookers, which is why Keiichi was apparently popular.

It's a game from Japan. If you lose whatever game, you have to preform a punishment/penalty. The punishments can vary from asking the class loser/delinquent on a date, to having to wear a ridiculous costume home, or something equally ridiculous but none life threatening.

This video after correction is only around 5 minutes long. Cause he ran to the hills after the interview. Ater that, he rebuild himself & become successful at other places.

Everything could have been resolved if Noa would have just explained it to him properly, I suppose she wasn't a completely extroverted person otherwise she wouldn't have had an issue saying it right there and then. The same goes for Keiichi, if he was a completely introverted person he most likely wouldn't have bit back in the form of him questioning her confession because he might have just gone along with it if he were introverted completely. Sorry but the whole reading people and their minds trope is over used and over rated. Really, if someone is “dense” most likely it’s because they have no interest. And you can’t force anyone into a relationship just because someone likes them. I should know…. Point is, this manga gets a 5/10 rating.
