Oh, the irony of a boss criticizing his subordinate for criticizing their subordinates! When asking a former employee to return to your company, starting by belittling their accomplishment them and then suggesting that they are incompetent is probably *not* the way to increase one's chances of success ... Really gotta just *cringe* that Days, Inc's Accounting Department can't even produce a standard set of monthly financial reports - since that is baked-in to any business accounting software package on the market! For that matter, a reasonably competent MS Office user could produce such reports from scratch in Excel! I'm no accountant, and *I* (in fairness, I am a programmer and deal with data regularly) could do that much with just a few hours to learn the specific software being used! Oh, the irony of a crook essentially *forcing* their own exposure!

Rin actually accepted her actions once she found out Takuya's full nature, and learned her lesson. She knew that even trying to get back with Keiichi would spell trouble. Now as for Takuya he really was that selfish. In fact even more selfish than any antagonist in this series yet.
Although I'm not the type of guy who forgives someone so easily. I actually forgive Yui for this atleast she knows how to take rejections unlike most women nowadays.

Fate of Rin: Since she is persistent, she tried getting back together with Keiichi, only to get dumped by him. She regretted everything and went to her room. She cried all night.
At the last MC's ex-GF Rin realized and apologized to him and even said the MC and his new GF are great together, unlike ex-GF's husband and MC's ex-childhood buddy Takuya who is a traitor not just to them but selling their local businesses to resort companies. Glad Takuya got the boot and justice is served.

Fate of Takuya: after all his wrongdoings got exposed, Takuya was disowned and kicked out of the family, and told by his parents to never show their face again. With a large amount of debts he started to work part-time jobs day to night barely making ends meet while living a frugal life in a shabby apartment isolated from everyone else in the town, but he never changed his rotten self and ended up getting arrested for another criminal charges against him - embezzling money and shoplifting at work - he got evicted from the shabby apartment after that, and with no money and nowhere else to go he started to living on in the streets. Hated from everyone and not beloved for no one, Takuya disappeared without being loved or much less missed. Fate of Rin: After called off the marriage due of Takuya's misdeeds, Rin become depressed and felt guilty for ended things with Keiichi even she realized she was deceived by Takuya, she can't forgive herself for that. she strongly advices Yui to not make the same mistakes she did to Keiichi in the past. Keiichi and Yui forgive her because it was all Takuya's fault, and also invited Rin for their wedding, but Rin refused to attend because she thinks she's not worthy to appear in front of them after all, and not intending to be in their way anymore she bows deeply in front of them and leave the town wishing both a wonderful and prosperous life. Rin probably will spend the rest of her life regretting to let go the best guy in town but she also admitted there's no one else besides herself to blame for that and realized it's too late to make any amends because she lost Keiichi to someone even more awesome, forever... End of story ⚔️🔥☠️

Rin actually regretted saying bad things to Keichi and went against Takuya. At least her and everyone exposed the truth to Takuya so he won't run away by making up lies anymore. I have to commend Rin for at least apologizing to Keiichi for hurting him in the past and berating him when they met again... Even better that she didn't ask Keiichi to get back together with her the moment she heard he was the president of his company instead giving her blessings to Keiichi and Yui to be happy together as she realized she messed up, resulting in her letting go of a really good guy like Keiichi for someone selfish like Takuya. She even defended him from the accusations thrown at him when Takuya tried using his father to corner him. Most ex-girlfriends in previous stories on this channel are often too prideful to admit their mistakes and acting entitled that the MCs should get back together with them after seeing them do well just because "they knew them the longest" then their current girlfriends/wives, leading to their downfalls. But she is one of the rare few ex-girlfriends that are different.
I commend Rin for apologizing after insulting her ex and realized how rotten Takuya really is, even though she knew there's no chance of her and Keiichi getting back together. Props to everyone for exposing Takuya's nefarious schemes that resulted in him being kicked out of his family. If he's really a 'childhood friend' in the first place, he wouldn't do something like this at Keiichi.

How in the world the antagonist's father had a such *rotten and awful living being* like the antagonist...? I mean: he was literally a great guy compared to that *rotten scumbag* ...so how the hell that man ending up having as son such *selfish, arrogant, and rotten living being* ...? I'm glad he got disowned, and I hope he ended up in a very dark corner or *something like that* . Anyway, I liked when the MC's EX *got somehow a brain* and realized the antagonist was just being *awful* and decided later to leave him (not to mention she apologized later to both MC and his wife). So yeah, I'm glad the antagonist got what he deserved in the end.
The strangest thing I find in these stories is how the ex (gf but sometimes friend) does a surprised pikachu face when the person they left moves on... Like seriously, did they truly move on? And if not, doesn't that mean that the exes were having a parasocial emotional affair with Keiichi?
Even Rin turned on Takuya after showing his true nature. Despite apologizing, there's no getting back together in the end. I hope she learns from her actions and find someone in the future as a better woman. What a satisfying karma for the so-called childhood friend of Keiichi due to his grudge against him. He even got kicked out of his family, no sympathy for a traitor like you, Takuya.
