at pick #13 draft Penix. After that find sweet spot and player then trade up and get best Right Tackle available using 2d rd and a next year pick. The O-line needs Major attention. GO Raiders!

It's pretty simple to me. Our Raiders is more likely to get MPJ at our 13th pick then Daniels. I would normally say get the top O-lineman because someone has to block for the QB especially since he is a lefty and the blind side would be his right side instead of the left but there's a lot of good O-lineman in this draft so we can get that O-lineman right after unless we think that MPJ will still be there on our next pick.

Based on my intellectual capacity and my vast knowledge and skills to this, tactically & tentatively right from the start of times ...especially in the light of Ecclesiastical Evolution and come to a concrete, definite and profound conclusion that I actually have nothing 2 say! Thank You ✌️🏃🏽‍♂️ 💨

Right on carl PENIX has a cannon arm for crossing patterns and deep perfection passes

Here's the thing for me, he can throw the ball, but he throws line drives shots, I want to see more touch on the ball, It's like a baseball player with an 95mph fastball, but can't throw the breaking ball. Also can he make the short throws across the middle of the field on a 3rd & 5, because without JJ that's going to be hard. Also Jim Harbaugh is bringing his assistant coaches with him on the defensive side of the ball and they know how to stop him. If we do draft him, someone needs to sit him down and show him film of the snake, Ken Stabler and how crafty he was with the ball in his hand

Not to mention... his injury history... may have made him SMARTER... and more durable for the future. (Great content man!)

Carl this is easy to decide. What is the best thing you need to win. A quarterback! We are in need of a difference maker. Penix is a great thrower of the ball. He can be elusive and he knows where and when to take the risks. I like AOC but he was gunshy at times. I don’t think that changes. He was worried about throwing an interception. Minnshew to be is a certified back up. If something happens he can be plugged in immediately. I say squeeze the trigger on a quarterback first round. I choose these 2 Daniels and Penix. I think the cost for Daniels will be alot. But Penix will make all of our receivers happy. O line can be addressed in the later rounds as can linebacker And corner. QB is the most important on the field. Excited about the draft! 🎉

Biggest problem might be AP having an existing relationship with Daniels blinding him from Penix, as well as his own ego as he has touted himself about recruiting Daniels to Arizona and that he new he was Heisman calibre player.... Get over yourself AP have some humility!

Judging by his interviews and Telesco's interviews, I'm convinced that Telesco has the final say, at least on offense. Honestly, I could care less about AP's relationship with Daniels. AP is a defensive guy and has no track record developing QB's. If Luke Getsy amd Telesco really like Daniels, then that's one thing, but as of right now, I'd trust Telesco with our first pick, and judging by what AP said about Telesco's experience, I think AP is conceding to him too.

I'm hoping the Raiders stay put and hope that Penix falls to them at 13....if he's already gone then go ahead and draft an OL or one of the stud CB's in the draft. Forcing the issue in the draft, being hyper-agressive to move up and get a QB in the draft often ends badly for teams. Let the draft come to you, seems to be what many of the best teams largely do....thanks, Carl!

I agree. Teams that are outside of the top 10, who move into the top 5, I have yet to see that work for them. I don't have the numbers, but I've always seen it end in disaster.

Alright Carl ... your Michael Penixs agent you don't fool me. JK 😆 as long we pick at 13 Penix, a RT (that didn't play for Alabama ! ) or a CB I am good! I like the idea of Jayden Daniels, BUT I'm NOT giving up so many future draft picks. My gut also tells me AOC is going to surprise people this year.

I don't mind picking him at 13 at all but I do think he drops to the late 1st or early 2nd QB's drop all the time What I hope is we take a RT at 13 n trade up into the late 1st for Penix but I'm not mad if we take him at 13

He’s most likely dropping to around 20 before someone bites. Vikings most likely taking McCarthy or Maye (just a feeling Maye falls) and Broncos got way too many holes to fill even though they said they’re “willing to trade Surtain for a top pick.” honestly next years 1st round talent is pretty lackluster so i’d rather trade our 2025 1st round pick and see what we can get.

any chance a team in the 20s will find value in our 77th pick and our 2025 1st rounder? If we have a chance to trade up we can take Arnold at 13 and Penix at around 21-27. I trust Munford to be decent enough to give MPJ time to throw. TCU LT/LG at #112 though, he’ll be Cody Whitehair’s replacement in a year or 2. (hoping the raiders draft him)

Carl Say T & AP have your plan… but What if someone else picks him up before 13 and we don’t trade up? I have no problem getting him @ 13. Not sure I would trade up to get him earlier than 13. I am in the want OLine group, have been for 20 years. Top 5 Oline and DC4 could have done far better. So would Aiden, and Minshew. Do you think if we get him at 13 we also stand to move up several players for Oline? I don’t think so with who we just signed a 1 year deal for. Someone who once upon a time made a pro bowl years ago and has ranked where since then? Bad O line = bad offense, period.

The O-line protected the passer well last year. Thayer Munford is better than Jermaine Eluemunor so they're already better at RT. All they need is a RG and they can get one in the draft.

I was hoping that Penix would drop to the second round, but I've been on his bandwagon from the start, I asked you to do a breakdown on him asking why Penix wasn't getting any love. Very happy to hear that you see it like I do.I also have thoughts on the O-Line as well.

I can’t justify drafting a dude with that many injuries in the first round. When you can get a QB in the 3rd or 4th healthy that may end up outperforming him in the pros. I may take him in the 2nd if I had done some extensive research & all went very well. Other than that, we need a 4.3 speed corner badly with some height with our 1st round pick.

The whole injury thing is a scapegoat as a reason for poor coaches and evaluators to not draft him. Penix reminds me a lot of Tua. Tua had a riddled injury history in college and still went 5. Mike McDaniel was able to build a scheme to enhance Tua and save Tua from Tua. That's all I think Penix will need a coach that has the understanding of how to use his skill set

I know that penix is the best qb in the draft if u ask me. The thing is that none of these guys stand out as a true first round pick thos year. They all have issues I would still rather take a right tackle 13th overall. Then if u could trade back into the first for penix around 26 or 27 I would be great with that.

Penix worries me. He can play ball when he is healthy but he was hurt a lot in college. I just don't think he can handle getting hit in the pros. If he is still available in the last first round or early second I could see us moving up for him if we don't pull off some magic shit for Daniels.

I could not agree with you any more. Penix is just different with his ability to make throws no one else in this draft can. He has been my #1 QB all along. Clean bill of health at the combine and no injuries in the last 2 years... I am not worried. They should pick him at 13. He is gonna be a star in the NFL.

I could not agree more. MPJ is a great choice even if you have to move up a bit to get him. He is the best pure passer in this year's class. His maturity with the number of games he has played will help him to acclimate his game to the next level. AP has said nothing more than getting back to the Raider Way. What is more Raider than pounding the ball on the ground and then going over the top deep? This would be an Al Davis pick over any of the other QB's in this class.

I’m with you Carl his potential is enormous. He is in some ways everything you want in a qb prospect.

If O'Connell was in this year's draft, where would he be picked?

I don't have any issues with the Raiders drafting Daniels or Penix. The issue is people thinking Penix will be there at pick 13 when it's a very strong possibility he will not be. There are already too many teams ahead of the Raiders as it is, that need a QB. And if the Giants and Cowboys beside they want to draft a QB for the future, that make is it even harder. It's no longer about trading up. If the Raiders want one of these QBs, they will have to trade up. The question is which one do they want and how far do the want to trade up to for that one? Patriots will trade and Cardinals will trade. The question is how much would the trade cost for the 3rd or 4th spot in the draft?! If they are going to trade up, they might as well go to the 3rd with the Patriots and take either Daniels if he's still there or whomever they feel is a fit?!? If they don't trade at all, then a QB isn't in play. I still think the Raiders and Patriots already had a deal set in place if Daniels falls to 3rd. And they will male the trade.

Our offense with Getsy will rely on a lot of shorter passes. Penix has problems with shorter to intermediate passes. Not sure at #13. RT is my hope.

Think it this way. The raiders have not drafted a player that the raider nation wanted…in the 1st round…for the last decade. Raiders owe us 😂

I'm for Bo more the MPJ but I'd be happy to land either because we wouldn't have to sell the farm for an accurate QB.

He looked to the sidelines for every audible and his passes were determined pre-snap. He never won a meaningful game in his 6yr career (0 SEC/Pac12 championships, 0 CFP appearances), & he didn't run a pro style offense. His stats are inflated by dink and dunk passes

We need more 1st rd picks.. i say trade away future 1st rounders so we can get Penix and 2 stud Oline in the 1st like Fuaga and Powers Johnson

I do find it funny that the 2 QBs in the title game are kinda considered afterthoughts in this draft. The kid that won the heisman had 2 potential 1st round receivers to throw to. Williams had to play hero ball every game and Maye is a wildcard. I seriously doubt all 6 turn out to be awesome but if I had to choose I think I Penix will be solid. Sure he might get injured at the pro level but that’s why you have a solid backup.

Nah they need to trade up. Then trade AOC and get some picks for him in the next draft.

Micheal Penix Jr. just might be the most underrated qb in this draft…He’s got a higher ceiling than both Minschew and AOC….. He’s passed every test thrown at him…. If the Raiders want their qb then Penix fits the bill…. At 13 he’s worth it…. I don’t believe he lasts until the 2nd round….Chris Simms said Penix Jr’s pro day and tape was on par with Drake Maye …Plus … Penix is the man in the locker room…. His teammates all love him…. If they take him at 13 and he ends up a bust then you can live with that … it’s when it’s a top 5 pick and a bust is when it’s painful…. Think Jamarcus Russell or Trey Lance or Trubisky….Penix is proven… the only thing stopping him at this point will be injuries…He’s worth it…. May even get drafted before 13…. Carl is right about him… You can only go by what you see in front of you…. If you look at Penix and understand football then you like what you see. I wish they could have gotten CJ Stroud last year… I’d be happy with Penix jr.

I believe AOC played great for the way things went he could ball in year 2!!!

@modestopimpin4549 we won in spite of him not cuz of him, the only good game he had was cuz the coach quit on the team n the defense had him in scoring position all game cuz of multiple turnovers He can win games with a great roster but he won't win you games if we fall behind we're toast with AOC
