I cared about both. Someone wanting a nice wedding doesn't mean anything about the intent of the relationship, and cheap-wedding moralists tend to believe they're better than people who wanted a nice wedding. I've been to bad weddings and cheap weddings, and nicer weddings and more expensive weddings were more fun and relaxing as a guest. I wanted my guests to have a great time, and I didn't want to worry. The girl in the call is mentally ill, and he shouldn't marry her, but a normie girl who wants a nice wedding isn't inferior to y'all, and most people who put themselves on a pedestal for having a cheap wedding do think they're better than other people.

The show took a whole new spin as soon as Dave asked what her health problems were. Suddenly Rachel's demeanor changed from helpful and chatty to instantly shutting up and quietly looking down at her fingernails and the quiet and concerned look on Dave's face said more in that few seconds than either one of them verbally said the whole show. I have no idea if this caller is going to read these comments, but in my opinion this girl needs to go and now. At 31 years old she is way too young to be dealing with these kind of health issues. It seems to me that this is the kind of woman that doesn't take responsibility seriously as she wants what she wants when she wants it if it's food, money, things, etc. Basically a 2 year old in a 31 year old body. This woman is going to be a big liability for this guy for the rest of her life. This woman sounds like a taker and he sounds like a giver, bad combination.

Lots of people have their special wedding by being creative and learning how to save on extra costs. For example: wedding on a Sunday, keep the guest list lower, find family to make the bouquets and go thrifting for centerpieces. It ain’t that hard!!! Just long hours of love planning. She sounds like she’s truly unhappy and miserable and her overweight status is causing depression and the truth is she will never have that “special day” because there is no satisfying an individual like that. You could blast through tons of money to have a wonderful wedding and still it would NOT meet expectations because something is wrong inside. A wedding is Not a bandaid …oh no Get out sir!! Get help

How can you quantify “pursuit of happiness “ This woman wants a wedding and it will “make her happy “ for it to be as large and big as she desires. This is why changing that phrase has been detrimental to our society . Just because it makes you happy, doesn’t mean you have a right to it . The Bible does not back that up and obviously we see that our hurts can deceive us about what will make us “happy”… even healthy hearts can be deceived, and if you are mentally unstable and unhealthy, your “pursuit of happiness” is going to be very toxic to you and others.

Her weight is a huge, huge, red flag and it impacts every moment of her life and every thought, emotionally, financially, psychologically and physically. How sad. She may want her "big day", hoping it will finally make her feel worthy, special. And, it will ... during the planning and choosing which cake, what colors and what kind of flowers. And it will ... during the ceremony and reception. The next day, she will be back to her normal life, unhappy, unhealthy and insecure. Forget about setting a wedding date, that will need to come later, if at all. Counseling ... PRE-marital counseling is an absolute must.

Let someone else be the next schlep for her!! She sounds like a princess who thinks every toad is her prince and must acquiesce to her desires. She should see the good thing this poor guy is trying to do, but I'd still say he needs to walk!!

Amen!!! Two people are getting married that day… It’s not the “brides” wedding …. It’s both of their wedding. Two people be becoming one in marriage . It’s also not the end of effort and hard work and loving someone … it’s just the beginning of the most important relationship in your life. If you don’t see it that way, and you think it’s an easiest escape for yourself, or to get what you want to look important that day… You have no business getting married
