I find that I do better by making an "Accomplishments of the day" list rather than a "To do list". At the end of the day when I look at the list, I feel good seeing all the things I've accomplished as opposed to feeling bad about all the things I didn't get done. It works for me.

I don't yet have a timer but I use the Queen song Bohemian Rhapsody which is 5 min and 55 sec. It really helps make tasks easier and it is a good get up and go song for me. Also you can speed up as you know it is ending. Hope this helps.

I like using timers on KZread that have music with them. Just search like 10 minute timer with music and lots of options come up.

I also like using the SwifferVac in my kitchen to get up crumbs instead of having to bend over to the floor. And it dusts with the Swifer Pad after the little Hoover.

Ever since you started with the dressing your truth you are like sparkling bubbling champagne. I feel so encouraged by you. When I don’t want to do anything I hear your voice “use your timer” and do just anything and mostly it helps me going.

The timer is a game changer . For things I procrastinate I started timing myself and really it takes less time than you think I was doing my weekly house blessing and often get caught up with doing things perfect so I the 10 Min I have to dust I would do 5 Min and then rush the next 5 Min . This kept me more mindful of my time . I also listen to KZread videos especially the flylady herself as she posts daily now

You do look wonderful since finding DYT. You are so clearly a Type 1! I'm a Type 2 myself and it is so liberating. I never realized how sensitive I really am and how I tend to take things wrong from my Type 3 husband (who is naturally blunt and louder than me). I love the Type 2 clothes, etc. I'm going to purchase the kit in a couple weeks as well. I've also been binge-watching Carol's videos :)

Hi, Diane..you are so inspiring to me! I love your videos! Do you think the squish, squish mop would work on ceramic flooring with grout lines? I have a hard time cleaning my kitchen floors which has uneven ceramic tiling and grout. I want to figure out what DYT type I am. I've seen her videos & bought the DYT book but do not have a clear picture of what type I am. Any suggestions on this??? Have a great weekend!!

Hi Brenda, I really recommend doing the free Before and After course on the DYT website. Make sure to watch it all, and not skip things - that's where I went wrong! LOL!

Probably best to read the reviews about these mops online (somewhere like Amazon) if you're not sure. Mine works fine for me - we have tiles/grout.

I love my skoosh skoosh mop! I also have a cordless hoover which is fab, both things make the WHB much faster and there's less faff. 😊 I also put a nice apron on my wishlist for my birthday which my sister got for me 😉💙 x x x

If you google "Rig-Tig sink caddy by Stelton" you'll find it, hopefully somewhere near you or online.

Having some down time and reading several of these comments and it seems that others feel just as I do, thankful for your cheerful encouragement and motivated by your energy. DD21 made me buy an "All Out Of" note pad for groceries 3 years ago even when my frugal self resisted. It looks just like yours. Who would have thought that it would have lasted this long?

Diane, I think I saw you using an official "FlyLady" pen in an earlier video, and you speak of the "FlyLady Timer" I was unable to find such items in the FlyLady Shop. Is there a place to gear up with FlyLady swag? Also, Have you tried Cube Timers? I got a Cube Timer from "Bed Bath & Beyond" I'm sure you would appreciate how effortless it is to use. I highly recommend you give it a try if you haven't already. It's difficult to believe how satisfying it is to set the timer in a fraction of a second without fiddling with any buttons. I think a Cube Timer would be an excellent accessory for any FlyPerson.

I've the same squoosh squoosh mop from Mr. Maxx, ordered from Amazon, wasn't content in the beginning, because the stick didn't stick nicely🙄, but suddenly it 'decided' to support me and now it sticks😅. Good idea to hang it up to have it on hand in the kitchen, thank you! Hi Diane, I recently found your channel and now look forward to watching you each morning. Thank you for taking the time and for making it fun. I have one question- where did you get your spray mop. I bought one recently from Amazon but the spray stopped working after 3 uses and the cloth does not stick on well. Am considering getting the Flylady mop but yours also looked pretty good and sturdy. Is it only available in Denmark. By the way Flylady has been a tremendous help to me. After 10 years of caring for various relatives, I was so out of synch, in my own life that it has been a joy to be able to get back order in my life. I am a newbie but it is already making a difference. Just ordered Carole Tuttle"s book. So thank you for being our cheerleader!

Lorrain Coates I have the Rubbermaid reveal spray and mop from target for over a few years . I love it . Use it weekly . I would buy the one with the interchangeable refill bottles as I think that’s new . Hi Lorrain! I have the skoosh skoosh mop from Vorfreude (I found it on Amazon) and I believe others here recommend the Vileda mop. Remember that if you have a problem with your Amazon product, they will replace it or refund it. Worth checking out!

A pinny with a big pocket reminds me of pegging out a row of sparkling white square nappies. Erm my youngest son is 39, and nobody used disposable nappies. 👍🙋. Timer is proving invaluable. Thanks hen.😂

Trish Traynor soooo are using those again! I did with all three of mine! Seven, three and one years old now! It’s become very popular in the states! And sunning inserts is the best thing you can do!
