One thing I love about the MX Master 3 that Eber didn't mention is the infinite scroll. I work in a lot of big excels, so having that and the horizontal scroll makes work soooo much more comfortable.

ngl that I realize now that I'm in a lot of work where data analysis and spreadsheets are starting to dominate my life when I'm not actually providing support the mx 3 with its side scroll is just unbeatable. I wish that logitech would put out another version of the ergo trackball with maybe some of the features the mx3 has cause I feel with good marketing it'd sell off the shelves

When I was starting - I never understood having expensive peripherals, but right now I have: Razer Viper Ultimate, Durgod Hades with lubed Cherry Silent Reds and PBT keycaps, Sennheiser HD560s with Fiio K5 Pro and Modmic Wireless. Totally worth it and the only thing I would change in this setup is the charging port on the microphone, would be so nice with Type-C.

I have also been using mostly the same setup for a long time. It just works well for me. I don't do much productivity type of work so gaming was always the main focus. I do find myself using the numpad a lot, and can't seem to ditch my Logitech G710+ keyboard with pbt caps, recently picked up a logitech g502 hero (since my mionix naos 7000 died on me 🥺) and really have been loving that. Audio wise I use a blue yeti with sennheiser hd558 headphones. Bang for the buck was always my goal and it all works very well 😁.

Never been a fan of anything smaller than a TKL keyboard. I prefer full size keyboards over anything else. My keyboard of choice and daily driver is the SteelSeries Apex 7 with Red Switches. This is one amazing keyboard and the RGB is second to none! I also opted for the SteelSeries Rival 3 wired mouse and haven't regretted that purchase either! Along with my ASUS 32" VG32VQ1B Curved Monitor, and I have a pretty damned cool gaming and production setup!

I'm programmer and have the same setup for gaming and productivity: Roccat vulcan because satisfying keystrokes matter a lot when programming and I wouldn't want to miss out the num pad or even the context menu button (the less you use the mouse the more productive when programming). Roccat tyon because of the smooth scroll fin and because it's big with many configurable buttons (I have copy paste macros on the mouse that's super useful). For sound Bose 700 as it has great noise cancelling and works decent for video calls as well as for gaming.

My current setup is a Logitech K350 keyboard (love it!!), Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed mouse, a Hyper X Cloud Pro headset and an ancient set of Logitech 2.1 speakers I got back in the early 2000s.

For productivity I use, mostly, the Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3000 (I bought it in 2007), which is a combination of the Wireless Keyboard 3000 V2 and the Wireless Mouse 5000. However, for on-the-go and some gaming, I use the Logitech G305 and I LOVE IT... When I make up my ming on a mech keyboard, that will be my main mouse. As headset I use the original HyperX Cloud for gaming and my new Soundcore Life Q10's for everything else (highly recommended). One of the things I find most practical of these Life Q10's is the multi-pairing capability. The ability to pair them, at the same time, with my PC and my phone is priceless. Besides, the sound is just great!.

On my desk i use a Presonus Studio 24C (swapped from 1st gen focusrite scarlett after running into USB3 and driver issues) with a Presonus Eris 3.5 half active(?) pair and a Presonus HD7, might no be the best, but it was dirt cheap and its perfect for both recording and playing, also its so easy to switch between headphoenes and speakers with an external soundcard, so i just stay away from these USB gaming headset crap for years now. For casual on the-go use i have a JBL BT150 or something like that, pretty cheap and falls of my head as i move around, can i have some recommendations?

For gaming though it is amazing I can hear everything that is going on around me to the point I can chase foot sounds on the map.

That MX master mouse looks pretty nice and would probably pair well with my MXKeys keyboard... But I haven't used a mouse in years, graphics tablets are just so much better, the only downside is having only 2 buttons on the pen, but touch gestures can make up for that. I even ended up using my Wacom Intuos to play through the Bioshock series this last month after having issues using a gamepad in the first game, I tried swapping back to controller for the second, but I'd just gotten so used to the Pen Tablet I kinda wanna try other shooters with it now, I had already used an old wacom bamboo for League of Legends back in the day and for games with that kind of overhead perspective (where you can use it in tablet mode, instead of mouse mode) it was already better than a mouse. So yeah, I think you guys should really give a pen tablet a shot, takes some getting used to, but once you do it's hard to go back to a mouse.

For replacing Earpads, try to get the same geometry. If you go for a larger volume for your ear cavity, you will kill the tuning of your bass frequencies. I think that for the worn out pair, the size looks similar to the HyperX sized pads. BrainWavz also has a hyperx sized pad. Sennheiser has replacement pads for the pxc550's which snap in, and the newer version of the 550 is supposed to work better with Apple devices. .

My main is the Razer Ornata Chroma. It isn't a mechanical keyboard, but I like their feel and it isn't as loud as fully mechanical keyboards like the blackwidow. For a mice I use the Roccat Kiro (since I can switch out the side panels to fit in my left hand) It's a bit small on the smaller site, but it's super responsive, has some subtle rgb, and dpi switch on top, so I can swap between 3 different presets for different games.

I've ordered a couple to replace my escape key, but the angle of the switch housing has created issues with both of the keycaps I've ordered. Love the keyboard, but a bit of a bummer I can't replace my escape key to satisfy my ridiculous desire. :)

Eber should definitely go with 65%. IIRC, he used to use the inputlab nightfox. If he gets a 65% that is VIA compatible, he can just make one of the keys on the right side a dedicated tilde key

Hey, Dmitry. Do you have any suggestions for a guy who is looking for a good pair of headphones for everyday office use? I tried the WH1000xM4 for their noise cancelling, but sound quality was seriously disapointing (for the price). I just want a comfortable set of cans that delivers good sound and doesn't look too "gamery".

Peripherals for me: KB: Tokyo 60 v3 w/zealios (65 or 67g, can't remember which). No lube or anything extra here, but I love these switches. I did want to try the heavier ones though. GMK Alter keycaps to rep best girl. I had the SA Laser set for a while, but I think the GMK profile is gonna be the one I stick with. I've more or less gotten used to it now, but I still don't care for the HHKB layout. It looks good, but I want to get a 75% so I can have the arrow keys and F row back. Also, not sure if this is just mine, or all aluminum keyboards, I zap this thing with static like every time I sit down during the winter. I try to remember to discharge by touching something else first, but I often forget. Doesn't seem to hurt anything, but it does sometimes disconnect the keyboard so I have to unplug and replug it to get up and running again. Think I might go polycarb for the next KB. Mouse: Corsair M65. Works fine mostly, kinda wish it had a couple more buttons. being able to switch DPI on the fly is nice. Never use the "sniper button". I think I want to switch it out for something newer, this one has had an issue where it will randomly stop working for a second or two occasionally. Which is.. not fun for gaming. I'm also considering picking up an Apple magic trackpad that I could use for my MacBook, or PC when I'm eating. Audio: Yulong Aquila II DAC/Amp accepts audio from the tv via optical and sends it to either my Mackie CR4 powered speaker through the preamp, or to my headphones. I primarily use either my AKG K701s or K712s. I think I prefer the 701s overall, but they're pretty close. I do want to upgrade the speakers for sure, but these are adequate for basic stuff like KZread videos and actually do pretty well for gaming. Positioning wise, I often don't even bother with headphones because the speakers do well enough. I also want to pick up more headphones, not because the AKGs are really lacking, just want some more variety. Monitor (you guys should've covered this too): LG CX OLED 48". Thought it was too big at first, but I've gotten used to it now. It sits on a TV mount/stand about a foot behind desk. This is a recent upgrade from a pretty basic 60hz 4k 27" monitor from Dell. For FPS games, I try to run with a 21:9 ratio with black bars because it is a bit to tall to comfortably view from my sitting distance, and I'm unable to move the desk back more at this time. Biggest gripe is that there's no DP of course since it's a TV, and my 2080 is only HDMI 2.0, so I either have to drop to 4:2:0 for 120hz, or drop to 60 if I don't want crappy colors. I would get a 3080 but, you know.... Supposedly they're working on smaller OLEDs this year, if so HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a monitor. 120hz, OLED color and blacks, fairly low response time, it's great! At this size, it's not something that would work for everyone, but I think lots of people who think it's too big would probably love it if they gave it some time and moved their desk back a bit.

Are there any gaming headphones out there that has good quality audio for those who are deaf in one ear? I can't wear stereo headphones when I can't hear the other 50% of the audio from the right ear piece. For example, I can hear the gameplay audio on my left ear, but can't hear either the characters speaking or even the music soundtrack on the right. I can't use loud speakers at night when living in an apartment with thin walls.
