    There are several that I can't live without: craft pick, T-square ruler & detail scissors. I find the thin stamp blocks difficult to use. To get a good impression with the thick blocks I use a mouse pad, the thicker squishy type, underneath my paper.

    Yes! A mouse pad or foam works great for stamping... great tip CouzCat!

    I agree w/your picks too CouzCat & I use the Stampers Secret Weapon pad under my cardstock in order to get a good impression.

    Thanks for this video Simon =). It's nice to know exactly what tools are needed instead of trying to guess at it. I have to say right now my favorite basics are my inks. I love trying different ways to apply them to my projects.

    Thank you for all the great info, Simon. I already use much of what you recommend but will consider the Gemini Jr. (I've been a Sizzix Big Shot girl for some time now). I know you didn't spend too much time on embossing in this vid but a must for me is the pre-embossing powder. Oy! what a mess without it. Keep up the good work. You are a joy to watch & very inspirational.

    Love your recommendations (totally agree with the ones that I have, and a few products to look into the next time I go craft shopping), thank you for sharing them. I might need to look into getting the bigger shears one of these days. Can't agree more with the trimmers! I have a few trimmers but use my Tonic ones the most. I have a bunch of blending tool foams that I have in the back of the distress ink cubes. Need to practice more with them more and maybe look into getting some of the blending brushes. Though that won't be for a while since I'm still in the research phase.

    Hi Simon I just discovered your KZread’s my favourite item to use is a pick too help take the paper off of double sided tape. I have long nails and it takes forever with out it.

    I have many craft tools I can't live without but my most favorite is my misti. I love it. I love all your videos. Your great. I am trying to organize my craft room so it is functional. I love yours. I know you had some video's on some ink storage you have come up with or found. I would love a video from you about all your storage solutions and links if possible where you bought them.it would be so helpful. I want my room like yours.

    Hello Simon, I have uses the liquid glue sometimes but eventhough says it dries clears you can see it on the card stock. I will try this one you're showing. Thanks

    Simon, this is a great video for beginners and perhaps experienced crafters. I was not aware of the clear foam, so I will be checking into that. I have to say, I do agree with the other posters that said it would be great if you did not talk so fast. Thanks for your great videos.

    what kind of pads do crafters use to create hieght on a card. for example adding an image not directly to the card but like a mini round, square or cut in half "blob" and then the little image is raised as in a 3D effect...I jut don't know what to call that. TY

    People use sticky foam tape to raise the object above the card base. I’ve never done it before but I’ve seen it done on KZread videos.

    Thank you Simon I need that information I wasn’t sure about a die cutting machine but since you are saying that Gemini is better I believe you. Thank you for your help what type of colors pencil is the best I’m just starting to buy things. But right now I only want to do 6/6 papers what do you think about cards kits. Thank you so much for your help and I really had fun when you went lives and we are able to talk with you you answer my question today about the one you put the stamps on then push down on it. I’m new at this can you help if you have time my friend is have here 50th Wedding Anniversary and I want to make a fabulous cards for her it in June so my time is real short here just ask I no that you are busy just asking again thank you I will be saving this so I can buy from your list.

    It's crazy how many paper trimmers we will gather until we find the perfect one. 🙄 Far too many at my place. I can't do without my glue remover eraser. Saves me all the time.

    love you and your crafty cards - however - I am old and sometimes it's hard to understand you super fast speech when naming brand names. I am looking for a good paper trimmer and it looks like you have what I want but even after replaying your awesome video three times, all I could get was Tonk studios, which just sounds wrong. please help - slowly - name brand of your two awesome paper trimmers. L O V E your videos.

    I bought the little applicators, and I’m really disappointed, the foam tips are too soft, not enough hold; they’re just good for painting on a stencil; I thought it was Foam at each end; in addition they take off the wood; in short they are almost useless to me

    They work perfectly for adding ink into small spaces on stencils. I wouldn't use them on any big projects...

    Go to settings to change the playback speed. Simon does talk fast to pack in a lot of info but you can control the speed! :-)
