I love Romeo and Juliet as well and Titanic is a favorite of mine too! I saw it in theaters three times as well! I also had the VHS at one point too and Top Gun is so fantastic!

Oh my, Sarah! We are decades apart but have odd similarities in our favorite movie. I LOVED Franco Zeffirelli’s version of Romeo and Juliet. Leonard Whiting was Romeo, Olivia Hussey was Juliet and Mercucio was played by the amazing British actor, Michael York. I wasn’t impressed with Shakespeare’s written word, but we got to take a field trip to see the movie and hearing the words spoken properly was just about life changing. Top Gun…the jets were definitely the stars of that movie. Yes, I lost it when Goose died. And the soundtrack was brilliant. I’m green with envy that you got to see the movie in a room full of fighter pilots. 😮 I only saw Jurassic Park once on the big screen. I’ve been thinking about borrowing the book and then renting the movie again. The Help was amazing! I never read the book. But the actors were superb. Where the Crawdads Sing. I read the book and finished it the day before seeing the movie. The world building was stunning. The movie was an absolute treat for the eyes. The book was good. But I will never read it again.

Terrific list, Sarah! 🍿 🎥 I also think book to movie adaptations of Harry Potter and Hunger Games were well-done. I love watching movies and going to the movie theater (don’t get to go often). I have many favorites! ❤ However, five of my favorite movies that I can watch over and over are The Breakfast Club, Love Actually, Shaun of the Dead, 30 Days of Night, and John Wick.

Huge fan of Kenneth Brannagh's "Henry V" . Amazing version. Other favourite movies of books. Inherit the Wind One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest To Kill a Mockingbird And Jaws yes it was a book. Should come to Halifax,NS and see some of the graves from the Titanic.

When I was younger I loved all things Adam Sandler. I watched you've got mail a ton as well. Mr. Holland's opus is the movie that stands out the most as one of the best.

What a great list of movies! I agree with preferring the Hobbit book to the movies. I've watched Lord of the Rings a lot but the Hobbit only once. Movies I love are The Wizard of Oz, The Breakfast Club, The Grand Budapest Hotel and Ghostbusters.

My favorite movie of all time is the Wizard of Oz..Followed by Casabanca, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner...I never miss It's a Wonderful Life...Miracle on 34th Street...Harvey, The African Queen

Some of my favorites are also Titanic I seen it 7 times in the theater when it came out and two more times recently when they brought it back in theaters in 3D Jurassic Park was good got a chance to watch that in 3D as well and others that are good are Mona Lisa Smile, You’ve got mail and Never Been Kissed, Sense and Sensibility with Kate Winslet. And of course Harry Potter🙂

My all time favorite movie is Clueless. It’s funny, Paul Rudd is cute, and the soundtrack rocks. I can also quote almost every line from it 😂

I have watched everything on your list except Top Gun and The Hobbit at the movie theater :P My favorites are: Back to the Future, Princess Bride, and Fried Green Tomatoes.

I am a musical fanatic. I just love movie/play musicals. Tops are The Sound of Music and Grease. I'll give a nod to High School Musical in there... oh and Joseph. Yeah, I love musicals. The only non-musical I can think of as being my favourite is Speed. It was on tv last weekend and I was po'd that we had to leave the show to eat dinner. Missed the ending. I don't tend to watch movies of which I read the books. I watched movies that are books but never read the books.

My favorite movie of all time is Johnny Depp Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, The Lord Of The Rings, Game of Thrones,Titanic,And í love Horse films like War Horse, Secretariat,The Black Stallion,❤Black Beauty.

I've never seen this version of Romeo and Juliet, so I'll have to figure out where it's streaming. I love Top Gun too - I distinctly remember seeing it for the first time - where I was, who I was with, all of it. Have you been to the HP studio/museum in the UK? It's amazing to see some of the sets and models that they used to film the movie. Put it on your bucket list if you haven't been!
