Rich try using the steering trim to keep it straight at high speed, might get rid of the over correcting/flipping like crazy

That esc fan is insane

For the record a low bypass jet engine is louder than pretty much everyone reading this comment can imagine, unless they’ve actually heard one. I get the remark about the Concorde, and that works, but just to be clear, those things are so very loud.

I just started going all out with my 3.0. Nice bro. I got a 45t spur and a 41t pinion running on 2s, 6700kv. Need a bigger motor lol

what happend to u happened to me at about 70. my drive shaft is bent about 45 and i broke the front brace but thats it. super happy cant wait to push this car even more

i put the velenion system on it and the tqi system then using the app i slowed down the steering rate to like 20% for speed runs also i use the supra tires they seem to do better

Nice video man! Be careful on the stock tires. Front 2 came unglued around 65mph caused the car to flip over

I'm neither a fanboy of Traxxas or Arrma, but I will say my Arrma Senton 4x4 off road truck will hit 54 mph out of the box on 3s without running out of range and hitting a curb....with that said, I do like your videos sir

Can I fit a brushless motor and new esc on an otherwise stock 4tec 3.0? Do I need a new motor mount or will the stock motor mount work with my brushless motors I have lying around?

Well, Richie, I'm prepping to remove the Velineon 3S system from my blue 4Tec 3.0, and replace it with a Castle Copperhead ESC & Tekin Pro4 HD HER 500kv motor. However, I also picked up a black 4Tec 3.0 (check your email & text for more detailed info). Maybe we should fit that Poseidon motor in my black one. By the way, ya REALLY gotta watch out for rocks in the parking lot. I hit one last week, which also flipped my blue one over. Lastly, the Rx/Rx might not be the only cause of the steering 'problem'. I'm thinking it's gotta be related (in part) to the servo. I've got a few non-Traxxas options to choose from. I'll take care of that as soon as I'm back from Vegas.

I've also went brushless on my 4tec 3.0 . I right away switched to a dx5 receiver and transmitter with that stability management, and it is %100 easier to control. I'm running 55 35 tooth gearing and I'm getting 8n the mid 60's but I am getting the rear end wabble. I ordered the gpm stabilizer kit for the rear. I think you might be right with the rear needing more down force any suggestions on a possible wing. And where do I get the fan? Great video I will be doing this project right along beside you so keep posting, my goal is 100mph

Have you tried raising the rear end? A lot of times it helps & sometimes it doesn't. But it's free & worth a shot.

I cut my arse out the back lol Not all but most of it just below the rear lights. Now the tail stays down at speed as wind passes thru. Really hated to cut the beautiful body, but results are more important to me than looks.

That hit will make some damage, you don't see first, but time tell what happens with that hit

That’s why traxxas released it as brushed. It’s not built for high speed. Similar to the 2.0. Terribly difficult to control and the steering is so twitchy with those small tires. But we still try and squeeze every MPH out of them which is all the fun.

I don't understand why everyone says Traxxas radios don't have any range. All of mine I easily get 100yard/100meters out of mine. Well except maybe my trx4. I don't know it's range because I'm not trying to crawl over things 100yards away lol. I don't have any TQ and have never used one. Mine are all TQi's. Could that be why?

I am changing over the radio as the stock radio is a) Short on range b) Has no steering dual rate and so any correction is a bit too viscious. I'm due to swap the radio out this week.
